Work Text:

He slowly prowled towards me with a smirk on his face. That smirk meant nothing but trouble, I could tell. But I couldn’t back away from him, not even if I wanted to. This was everything I had ever wanted, so why would I ever try to leave?

I just looked up at him with a smile. The perfect picture of a docile omega. That seemed to make him happy, his smile grew even wider!

I guess that was what he wanted. I could do that, that’s easy, that’s what I ‘ve been trained to do.

He looked down on me as I looked up at him. He slowly bent down and rubbed his nose on my neck. I turned my head to the side to allow him easier access to my neck. He accepted me! I was good enough for him! I felt like I was on a cloud. This is what I had wanted in life.

He seemed satisfied when he came up from my neck, as he rose he stopped by my ear and whispered “ It’s a pleasure to finally meet you omega.”

The way he said it left me shaking. I had never had a reaction like this before. It felt like my bones had melted and I had nothing to stand on. My knees buckled beneath me.

I think he noticed because he said something over his shoulder, then picked me up in a bridal carry. I let out a gasp of delight and shock. I don’t think I had been carried like this since I was five!

He started walking towards the door and my scent immediately soured. I wouldn’t get to say goodbye? What about my stuff? I hadn’t brought any of my stuff down yet!

He must’ve been able to smell me because he leaned down to my ear and said “Say goodbye to you parents.”

He turned me around to face them and I gave the biggest smile I could. “I love you”

He said bye to his parents and left them in there to talk(?)

He walked us out to his car (he has a car!!?!!?) still carrying me in his arms. I never wanted to leave, I had never been this comfortable before. As he opened the car door and was starting to set me down I realized something, he hadn’t told me his name yet!! I hadn’t even told him mine!

“I’m so sorry, I forgot to tell you my name! I’m Ivory.”

He just looked at me for a second before he started laughing. Not just a chuckle or a snicker, byt a full on laugh. I was confused, did I say something wrong, had I already messed up? He wiped his tears and looked at me with a smile, “I’ve known your name for a long time, Ivory.”

Hearing my name roll off his tongue was sinful. I had heard people say my name before, of course, but this, this was different. It felt so much more powerful, it didn’t feel the same as when other people did. It was so much better.

I saw him grab the door handle and adjusted myself so that neither me or my dress would get caught. He walked around the car and sat across from me. “ I’m going to take you back to my den. You’ll be alone there for a bit while I come back here and grab your stuff.”

I was going to be all alone in my alpha’s den? That sounded, honestly, terrifying. In a whole new place, with a whole new scent, not knowing anything or one, and being all alone. But with the way it was worded it seemed as though I wasn’t being given a choice. So instead of saying anything I just looked over at him, gave a smile and said, “ Thank you for allowing me alone in your den alpha. I will make sure nothing happens while you are away.”

That seemed to be exactly what he wanted to hear as his scent took on a brighter note.

He pulled the car into a private drive and I was pleasantly surprised to see a home set atop a hill. The home resembled a modern cottage and had gorgeous bay windows along the front. I couldn’t wait to lay and sunbathe in them. He must’ve sensed my scent changing as he looked over at me with a delighted smile, “ Does my omega like his new den?”

“Yes! It’s truly a gorgeous home alpha. You have an amazing den, I’m sure it’s just as lovely on the inside!”

Those words made him posture in pride, I think he liked being complemented.

We got to the top of the hill and stopped in the driveway. He walked around the front of the car and opened my door for me with his hand held out. I grabbed his hand and he assisted me out of the car. We walked hand in hand to the front door and when he opened that door I gasped.

It was gorgeous. It looked just like the dream homes I would spend the late nights imagining.

“Come on Ivory, I’ll show you to our room. When I come back with the stuff you’re more than welcome to make a nest.”

That made my cheeks burn bright cherry red, a nest was such an intimate thing. After my mom helped me make my first nest as a child neither of my parents ever entered my room out of respect for it. I knew it was normal for omegas to share their nests, expected really, but I was nervous. What if he didn’t like the nest I made for us? I’m normally very precise with my nest but what if it wasn’t good enough?

I wouldn’t have to spend all night on it making sure it was the most perfect nest he’ll ever lay eyes on.

“Thank you for letting me stay with you alpha, I can’t wait to build our future nest for us.”

He showed me where the bathrooms and kitchen were before nuzzling my scent glands in a goodbye and leaving for my stuff.

To be honest… it was lonely. I’ve always had someone to talk to, even though it was just my mom. But being here all alone, it just felt like too much at once. I needed comfort, I needed a scent to ground me, his scent.

I walked up the steps to get into our room and slowly opened the door.

I shut it behind me, then closed all the curtains before allowing myself to burrow myself in his den. He had put blackout curtains in so with those shut and the door closed it was pitch black.

But it was everything I needed. No outside distractions, it was just me and his scent.

His scent smelled like oranges and the beach waves crashing onto the sand.

It was perfect, it was the best thing I’d ever smelt.

It was relaxing me into an almost dream-like state. I could feel my eyes getting heavier and heavier as I sunk down even deeper into his den. I let my sleep take over me and slowly drag me down.

I woke up to the feeling of my shoulder being lightly pushed. I slowly forced my eyes open and found the room to be bright with light. Had I overslept??! I looked over my shoulder and saw him standing there, out of the corner of my eye I saw what looked to be a suitcase. “ Look who finally decided to wake up, I thought you would never wake up. “

“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to oversleep! I hope you weren’t waiting long!!”

But instead of replying he just chuckled before lowering himself onto the bed. Then he grabbed my shoulders with one arm and my hips with the other, and dragged me into his lap.

“Shhh, it’s okay. Just sit here with me. “

Those words mixed with that dream of a scent were allI needed to slowly sink into him. Letting my body fall limp and allowing him to take all of my weight.

I was going to fall asleep again, I tried fighting it, forcing my eyes open after every heavy blink.

“Don’t fight your sleep, let yourself go. I’ll take care of you. “

That was all I needed to hear. It didn’t even take me a minute before I let myself rest once again.
