Chapter 1: First Wishes

Chapter Text

"Did you know that you can wish on stars too?" The little Spanish prince says as they lied on the grass, staring at the night sky. Felix had came over to Leon's place for a sleepover, which Leon never really agreed to but he's glad Felix actually came. He wasn't sure since when but he had gotten really close to the redhead. He always finds himself waiting for him every recess to eat together, and even when Felix suggests a hangout, he would act like he's against the idea but he looks forward to it. Leon had a few friends before, but none of them were close to him like how Felix had made himself to be.

"Really?" Leon responded in awe. "I thought you can only do that on your birthday, when you blow your candle."

"Nope. My abuelita says that if you see a shooting star, you can close your eyes and put your hands together and wish for anything you want!"

The two little princes then looked up to find a bright star that would fly across the dark night sky, arguing on which stars look like they might fall. There were times when Leon actually gets a little heated, and Felix laughed it off, giving him a win. The two had quite a lot of fun just lying on the ground and arguing, before the maids eventually finds them on the ground. They were scolded for lying down on the dirty ground before bed and was instructed to bed early.

Felix walked into Leon's room and hopped onto the bed, talking to the maids cheerfully. He's always been such a sweetheart to the maids, and they loved it when the little Spanish prince comes over to play with Leon. Leon walked towards the window, still not giving up on finding a shooting star. The German prince could hear Felix asking the maid about a shooting star, to which he turned around to listen to. The maid raised her brows and hummed for a few seconds. She said that she wouldn't know, and that if they're lucky they might just have one that very night. Leon huffed at the answer and turned back to look out the window. He blinked when he noticed a shooting star in the distance.

"Felix! Quick! Shooting star!" He quickly called his friend. Both princes stayed still with their eyes closed and their hands clasped together. Felix knelt on the bed, his hands close to his forehead as he wished the same thing over and over. A few moments of silence passed, interrupted by the maid who finally tucks them to bed. Felix and Leon got into the bed and after a sweet "goodnight", the lights were turned off and the doors were closed.

The only light in the room was from the nightlight on the bedside table and the moonlight shining through the window. Felix held his red bull toy close, ready to sleep when he heard a soft whisper from Leon, "Hey Felix?"

"Hm?"

"What did you wish for?"

"I wished.. that my dad would finally see me." Felix says with a smile, to which Leon responds back with a small smile. Leon had never went to Felix's residence, but from what he's heard, it's not very fun.

"Oh."

Leon had a pretty good relationship with his older brother, but even they argue sometimes. He couldn't imagine being the seventh child of a family who didn't seem to even remember his name, nor support his dreams. Leon reached out to softly pat Felix's bull plush, embarrassed to give Felix any sort of physical affection just yet. Felix just giggled at the act, knowing that was a way for Leon to comfort him.

"What did you wish for?" He switched the topic back, asking Leon the same question.

Leon blinked softly as he smiled and honestly replied, though it was pretty embarrassing to say out loud, "I wished you would stay my friend until forever."

Felix cooed as he hugged Leon, being pushed by the face immediately after. Leon's not really a touchy feely person just yet. Felix smiled at the German prince before replying, "You really didn't have to wish. I'll stay your friend forever and ever!"

Leon had a small smile when he heard Felix's promise. He liked having Felix as a friend. Even if their relationship started off rocky at first, their little arguments were pretty much enjoyable. Their fights, their talks and their careful thoughts about each other. Leon wouldn't want to lose Felix as a friend.

"Well, I just had to make sure."

The two little princes laughed, happy to have each other.
