It is a truth universally acknowledged (at least for In Hyuk), that the only person in this whole wide world that could turn a (supposedly) cool Eclipse' frontman Ryu Seon Jae into a giggling mess of a school girl with a crush is a woman named Im Sol.
Everything about her could melt that 6'2 man into a goo. A goo in love.
In Hyuk dubbed these phenomena as the Sol effect.
The symptoms included, loopy smile, hallucinations (daydreaming), uncontrollable giggling, and permanent blushes.
He never thought he would see it in full force again. But here they are.
In Hyuk didn't know what exactly his best friend saw in her. How can someone fall helplessly in love like that?
Fifteen years had pass and Seon Jae was still as in love with Im Sol as when they were teenagers. He shuddered as he remembered Seon Jae's aggressive flying kiss.
He thought it couldn't get any worse than that, but, he was proven wrong as he saw his best friend keep smiling like a lunatic.
Don't get him wrong, he was happy for his friend. At long last, his feeling is (finally!) requited. Though it would be a lie if he said he didn't resent Im Sol for everything she made Seon Jae go through. All that pain and heartbreak. He had some choice of words to say to her when they met again. Strangely, he was reminded of what she said to him back in 2008.

Is she clairvoyance or something?
Another giggle was heard from Seon Jae and In Hyuk could only shake his head in disbelief. Seon Jae is beyond help. This man should be the brand ambassador of loserism.
"What's wrong with him?" Jay came and cocked his head towards Seon Jae. Two cups of iced americano in his hands. "Did something good happen to him?" he said, and gave him one.
He was about to answer when Dong Seok chimed in from where he leaning against the counter, sipping his own iced americano. "It must be because of that woman,"
"What woman?" Hyun Soo asked, suddenly appearing like a neighboring aunties when they heard gossip.
"That director. Im Sol," Dong Seok answered, while staring at Seon Jae incredulously. "She ask him to spend the night with her and he just agree with it,"
Jay laughed, thinking Dong Seok was joking. "Woman? You kidding, right? This is Seon Jae we talking about. No way he would agree with the request,"
"Unless that woman is Im Sol," In Hyuk sighed, as giggles erupted from Seon Jae. Look, even the mention of her name could trigger him. "He would do anything she asked without complain," he knew for a fact that Seon Jae could never resist her.
"And who is she exactly?" Hyun Soo curiously asked.
"His first love," In Hyuk answered while turning his head to look at the curious faces of Hyun Soo, Jay and Dong Seok. "The muse for sudden shower. He write that song for her,"
He watched Jay’s eyes widen after hearing his answer. "Really? Daebak!"
"Yeah, Daebak indeed," he cringed as he saw Seon Jae pulling a throw pillow and hug it with all his might. A loopy smile was still on his face. It's like déjà vu. Some things just never change. He shuddered again. Does it mean this will be a daily occurrence? Oh God…
"Maybe this is just a honeymoon phase?" Hyun Soo said, sounding a little unsure.
"He has been like this since yesterday morning," Dong Seok added, finally putting his cup on the counter with a thud. “It’s like he has been possessed,”
"Try fifteen years," In Hyuk said dryly. "He has been like this since he was nineteen,"
"Woah, that long?" Jay looked at Seon Jae in wonder. Yeah, he did wonder too. What kind of power Im Sol had over his friend that left him waiting for her for fifteen years.
"Dong Seok-ah, I have been thingking about the movie, Hero– Seon Jae suddenly perked up, a large smile overtaking his face. In Hyuk have a bad feeling about this –I'm going to take it. I will star in it," See, he was right, Seon Jae has no willpower against Im Sol. No brain cells detected, only love cells left.
In Hyuk could hear Jay choking on his iced americano. He raised his hand and patted Jay's back in sympathy.
"Really, Hyung?" Dong Seok was probably the only one excited about it. "I will tell them right away," he said and running to his phone like his life was depended on it, before Seon Jae could change his mind, which is impossible, his heart eyes already seal the deal.
"Didn't he say the storyline is absurd and in no way in hell he will star in it," Hyun Soo whisper-shouted to him. "Now he wants to do it!"
"That was before he knew it would be directed by Im Sol," he answered. "When it comes to Im Sol he will give her everything. He said yes to everything she want,"
"Seon Jae, are you sick?" Jay asked after his coughing subsided. He run to Seon Jae’s side and put his palm on his forehead. “You don’t have fever,”
“I’m not sick,” Seon Jae frowned and slapped Jay’s hand away, seemingly back to his normal self. Not that he was ever normal to begin with.
“Then, why did you accept that movie?” Jay asked, curiosity palpable in his words. “Didn't you say the movie is abomina-
“Who said that?” Seon Jae suddenly shouted and threw the pillow at Jay, a scowl appeared on his face. “I never said-
A call interrupted his outburst and In Hyuk once again reminded the extent of Seon Jae's loserism.
His loserism really needs to be studied.
"Hello, Sol,” Seon Jae picked up the call and talked sweetly, his tone gentle. A blinding smile curved up his mouth. "Do you want to meet now?" he hurriedly got up from his seat and went to get his coat.
"I'm going out," he then said without looking at them.
“Hyung!” Dong Seok yelled and ran after Seon Jae. "Where are you going? Hyung!"
"What the hell just happened?" Jay exclaimed, a perplexed look on his face.
"What we have just seen?!" Hyun Soo looked in the direction Seon Jae went with the same perplexed look Jay was sporting.
"You guys have seen nothing yet. He hugged his love rival after the guy broke up with Im Sol. He even high fived a stranger on the street because he was too happy. He also gets into the same university as her just to see her and pine away. Worse, he got drunk and yearned for her in front of her old house. If I list everything Seon Jae does because of Im Sol, one night is not enough," In Hyuk said, looking at Jay and then Hyun Soo, seeing the horror in their face that he was sure mirrored on his face.
"This is called the Sol effect...
