Ace breathed in the ocean air, he never expected to be free after all. He looked over, feeling a familiar haki burst coming from in front of pops before a head peeked out of a shimmering blue portal. “Yo! Permission to board?” Sparrow, his elder sister asked, in her normal tone.
Whitebeard laughed, nodding. “Permission granted. I assume you four are here to see Ace?”
“You got it White-Daddy.” She flashed a flirty smile, causing Pops, his pops! to flush before laughing heartily.
The four of his siblings that he didn’t share stepped out of the portal, it disappeared into a blue mist.
Kama, sweet Kama, his baby sister who he babied just as much as he babied Lu zeroed in on him instantly, and Ace knew things were going to go to shit. She looked rough, but it was to be expected when she was the one who dealt the killing blow to Akainu. She also looked free in a way Ace had never seen on her before.
He was decidedly ignoring Sparrow who was now perched on Pops lap, flashing flirty grins and smiles at the older man.
“Awe come on white daddy,” Was all Ace heard before he zoned out of that conversation again.
“Ace!” Kama skipped over to him, a mischievous look in her eyes. “Großer Bruder~” She cooed, taking a step forward, a step that spelled absolutely agony.
But before she could focus in fully on him he could see as her haki pinged someone, as she turned to focus in on Marco. She winked at the blue chicken before turning back to Ace.
“What is it Kama?” He refused to acknowledge her crush on his best friend. He would never acknowledge it.
“You’re in trouble.” She smirked, a horrible smirk that had shivers going up and down his spine at his baby sister’s look. His baby sister with a 4 billion bounty after Marineford, because she killed an admiral from the air.
Before she could anything she turned and raised a hand. “Broker!” She took their vati’s name for Sabo somedays, showed she was in a good mental state. It made Ace feel happy and successful, even if he didn’t do anything to make her smile.
“Yeah Kama?” Sabo looked at her, smiling that smile the older siblings only ever saved for those younger than them.
“We’re gonna party, okay?!”
Ace should have expected this, really he should have they were all pirates at heart after all. Sabo just had his calling elsewhere.
“Aye!” Broker waved over, “If we need supplies?”
“Me or Sparrow got you Broker!” Kama waved him off, before skipping off. “Now let’s see what medical supplies you guys need.”
Ace knew that tone, and nope not going there.
Ace went to go catch up with his twin, his only sane sibling.
“Gurararara!” Ace heard his pops laugh, “I’ll thank about your offer little one.”
That tone sent shivers down everyone on deck who saw the man as family. Staring at the lady perched in his lap in horror. Ace shook his head; he hated this situation so much.
Around an hour later the party was going in full force, Ace wasn’t fully sure what was being celebrated but he did enjoy being surrounded by most of his family. He wished his Vati and Manmi were here.
Luffy and Sabo started to cackle at his sides, holding him still, he didn’t mind he knew Lu was a very tactile person but suddenly he felt a hose on his back.
“I told you,” Kama grinned and sounded deadly, at his back. “You’re in trouble.”
Then the sucking sound started, and Ace... Ace was sucked into the device, before he felt his form being torn into four smaller pieces and stuck in... lanterns. He remembered this threat, this oh so wonderful threat. “Scatter!” He felt himself flying throw the air in three different directions, one piece of him staying in Kama’s hands.
Lu took off to the right, Broker to the left. Kama stayed in her spot, and Sparrow? Sparrow stayed right on Pops lap.
Ace knew this because he felt it, he knew this because he could see himself in four different places from multiple sets of eyes.
“Let me out!” Ace screeched, well each tiny Ace screeched from the lantern insides.
“Let me think. Nah, you were bad!” Kama shook her lantern gently. “You decided it was a good idea to accept death! Dumb brother!”
“You didn’t even think about!” His senses being split yet applied in four different areas was disorientating to say the least.
“You’ll be let out when you apologize!” She huffed.
Lu nodded sagely from his corner of the boat. “Uh huh uh huh. You gotta say your sorry Ace. Kama is real upset.”
“Fine.” Ace scowled, “Fine I’m sorry!”
“You don’t mean it.” Sabo, his annoying dolt of a twin. “When you mean it we’ll let you go.”
Marco was watching everything go down, a shit eating grin on his face like he thought this was a fair punishment. The traitor lets see how he likes it when Ace shoves him into a lantern.
The scowl on Aces face died down when Sparrow leaned into whisper to her lantern. “You know we almost didn’t make it Ace. You know this too. Imagine how Luffy would have been if you died in his arms.”
“I’m sorry okay?!” Ace screeched, pulling the Luffy card was cheating and Sparrow knew it. Did she care? No apparently not.
“Okay Shishishi!” Lu was the first to open his lantern, Broker after him, and then Sparrow. Kama didn’t open hers and Ace was only 3/4’s formed so he felt weird. “C’mon Kama let me out!”
“Fine.” She huffed, opening her lantern, it took a second for Ace to shake off the feeling of reforming before he hugged his closest sibling, who happened to be Lu. Luffy laughed happily, wrapping his arms multiple times around his eldest brother before reaching out and pulling all of his other siblings in close.
“Lu-!” Broker screeched, and fuck it was hilariously. Three body weights slamming into him and Lu? Ace was not happy about that but did his best to hug all of his siblings close.
“I’m sorry.” He whispered, laying his head on the closest shoulder.
None of them responded, simply hugged him back.
Later in the night Ace walked over to Pops, wanting to talk but was horrified, absolutely horrified, to find Sparrow and him making out. He turned, and walked away, refusing to acknowledge that situation.
