The day at the mines was hard.

The farmer tried to reach bottom but to no avail. Monsters would attack her non stop whenever she tried to mine, leaving the poor farmer who was careless enough to go for mine with no food nor supplies to drag her way to the exit, as she was one xp away from dying.

As she exited the mines, she took some time to analyze her new surroundings. The sun had already set some hours ago, leaving the moon to rise in it's steed. Sounds of monsters could be heard at the long distance, probably hiding along the woods that the farmer would cross on her way home. Nonetheless everything else remained the same as before she decided to enter the mines.

Now, with the time being past midnight, the farmer had one goal left. To make it home safely.

Dark as it was, the mines left her exhausted, eyes beginning to close for more time than they should despite her will and body begging her to lie down for a second and rest. Moreover, It wasn't helping that she was bleeding from multiple places as the result of fighting multiple monsters at once, was she losing blood from a little scratch or a quite concerning injury, she wouldn't know as the mere thought of getting some rest engulfed her thoughts completely.

Her track of thought started slipping away as she slowly gave away to exhaustion. She just wanted to reach her house's front steps already, open the door silently and sneakily, without making any sound and make her way to her and her wife's room where she would find her beautiful wife sleeping quietly in her side of their bed, leaving just enough space beside her for her beloved to join her and cuddle the rest of the night away, enjoying each other's warmth as they sleep.

Sadly however, this wouldn't be the case this time as her legs finally gave out of exhaustion, letting her fall face first to the ground. Being too tired to do or move anything, the farmer just closed her eyes and accepted her fate, she would be spending her night outside the mine's entrance it seemed.

'Good night, my love.'

The farmer woke up the next day within the warmth of her bed sheets. She got up from bed, later than usual, around 2 pm and went over to the kitchen where she found her wife who seemed to be cooking them breakfast.

She neared her unsuspicious lover and soon she engulfed her in a surprise hug from behind.

To the farmer's successful prediction, despite Haley jumping a little from the surprise, she sighed in relief upon seeing her awake. Then she started berating her, as the farmer rested her head on her wife's shoulder, about how stupid it was to overwork herself to the point some random Jojo workers would find her passed out outside the mines and forcibly as law called, bring her home, again.

In reality however, the farmer knew that her wife was just really worried about her. She had this habit of pushing herself to her limits if it meant getting things done before the rise of a new day.

Her bones and muscles ached with yesterday's exhaustion, but that didn't matter, right now she was just overjoyed to see her lover again.

Sighing to herself, she leaned in and gave an apology peck to her wife's cheek as she knew this wasn't the first time she made her worry over her and probably wouldn't be the last either.

Her lover's slight blush while trying her best to still look mad was enough of a satisfying response for the farmer to let go of her and take a seat on one of the chairs before their kitchen table.

For the remaining time, she just admired her wife from the back as she watched her try her best to cook them an appealing breakfast.

Usually, the farmer would be the one cooking and not Haley as, well... her lover wasn't exactly experienced with cooking and all, but she couldn't really blame her. She was the one who decided to sleep in since she needed all the rest she could get in order to start another busy yet fulfilling day at the farm.

Plus, having her wife cook them breakfast was not bad, it was a rare occasion and she would savor it with all of her love, eating gratefully everything on her plate even if it was slightly undercooked.

If she later got a stomachache while foraging her plants, she didn't mind it nor regret it.
