   Summary

   A year after young Mikhail escaped the Gulag and settled down in the cold Siberian mountains, he almost gets captured again and almost killed. Accepting fate, a stranger suddenly shows up and helps him out. Though, they get into a bit of trouble together.

   Now 15 years into the future, they meet again. Who's to say any of them recognize the other at all.
