Chapter Text
As Moiraine and Siuan strolled through the farmers market, Siuan paused at a stand with beautifully ripe strawberries, her eyes twinkling mischievously. “You reckon these could make up for your disaster of a jam last summer, love?”
Moiraine rolled her eyes playfully, squeezing Siuan’s hand. “Only one way to find out.” She picked up a berry, examining it like a gem. “Perfect for jam.”
“Only if your definition of perfect jam includes remembering to add sugar this time,” Siuan quipped, nudging her.
“You’ll never let that go, will you?” Moiraine mock sighed, adding a punnet to their basket.
“Never,” Siuan declared, grinning broadly. “That’s married life, I get perpetual teasing rights.”
Moiraine leaned closer, lowering her voice. “What if I make it up to you with some breakfast in bed? Strawberries included, sugar guaranteed.”
Siuan considered this proposal, pretending to weigh her options. “Add some freshly whipped cream and I might agree to it.”
“Deal!” Moiraine said as they moved towards the checkout. “But you’re on coffee duty.”
“Deal,” Siuan agreed, planting a quick peck on her wife’s cheek. They continued their stroll, their bamboo basket a little heavier, their spirits lifted by the simple joy of this Saturday morning.
