Work Text:

Kim Jin Woo once imagined, when he was young and hadn’t given up on anything that couldn’t be put onto one of his timers, that he’d fall in love with someone and then everything would be better. Once love enters he’d be perfect, nothing else would matter because they’d be his soulmate and you can’t disappoint a soulmate, they don’t have impossible standards and a bar that just keeps rising. And some part of him still believed that he had his list, a perfect match, his type and if he fit their criteria as well then he wouldn’t have to work for their love. This all went down the drain when he fell in love with Jeong Gi Seop. Because apparently, his kissing was disappointing.

Jeong Gi Seop laughed looking up at Kim Jin Woo’s serious expression, eyes darting around his face.

“What?”

“Show me how to do it better.” Kim Jin Woo insisted hands on either side of the taller man’s head and knees bracketing his hips.

“Better? Kim Jin Woo, what’s better?”

“You were disappointed when we first kissed, and I’m not disappointing, you have to show me how to do it better.”

“Disappointed? I wasn’t-” Jeong Gi Seopsmiled up at him.

Kim Jin Woo took all the courage he had despite the embarrassment he felt for the conversation and pressed a few smacking kisses to his boyfriend's lips. Enjoying the curve of his smile. He never imagined that he’d get to have this and there was no way he was sacrificing it for something as trivial as being a disappointing kisser.

Jeong Gi Seop reached up and took hold of his face, eyes soft and titled his chin a little before pressing their lips together a lot softer. They moved together, Kim Jin Woo’s eyes fluttering closed as he tried to catalogue every movement, every brush of their lips together, he wished he had his notebook to take notes, but that can be saved for after this lesson. Jeong Gi Seop opened his lips slightly to suck his top lip into his mouth, the hands on his jaw rubbing circles. Kim Jin Woo let his mouth fall open and he felt another smile as Jeong Gi Seop slipped his tongue between his lips, licking across his mouth softly. Kim Jin Woo tried to follow with his own tongue, finding himself chasing his way into Jeong Gi Seop’s mouth, he kind of tasted like coffee and toothpaste, an odd combination that he found himself obsessed with. After what could have been minutes, or could have been hours, of kissing he pulled away, letting Jeong Gi Seop follow him for a few more lingering kisses before turning his face away.

“Okay, what could I improve?” He sat back on Jeong Gi Seop’s thighs looking him dead in the eye.

Jeong Gi Seop’s mouth was a little red and he licked his lips, seeming not to have processed the question.

“What?”

Kim Jin Woo smacked his chest lightly,

“You were meant to pay attention and give me pointers so I can get better!”

“Kim Jin Woo, the only way this could be better is if we keep doing it,” Jeong Gi Seop sat up on his elbows and eyed his mouth.

“I wanted real feedback, how am I meant to improve if I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.” He really should get his notebook, and maybe prod Jeong Gi Seop a few times to try and get something constructive from the exercise.

“Why do you think you’re doing something wrong? I love kissing you.” The taller man craned up as if he were trying to kiss him again.

“You told me when we first kissed you were disappointed, I just didn’t want to continue disappointing you.” Kim Jin Woo pouted into his hoodie, eyes turned down

“Disappointed? In your kisses? Kim Jin Woo, I’ve never been disappointed in your kisses,”

“But you said-”

“I was disappointed that day because you didn’t let me crawl into bed with you afterwards.” Jeong Gi Seop dragged his head down and kissed Kim Jin Woo’s chin. “I was never disappointed with this mouth.”

He kissed him again softly letting it linger as Kim Jin Woo flushed happily.

“But, if you do want more practice, please, sit on me whenever you want and practice to your heart's content.”

And well, Kim Jin Woo didn’t become a top student by turning down study opportunities.
