Jake stared at the call, caught off guard at the sudden ringing. He contemplated whether or not he should accept it. Cons? It was an absolute stranger he has only talked to a few times but thought he was fun. Pros? It was an absolute stranger he thought was fun.

“Hey?” And was Jake silenced. The other voice on the line said one word and he was already down bad. Now, Jake thinks of himself as someone that isn’t typically easy to woo. But if Jay wanted it he would do anything he asked.
“Hello,” The man continued to talk, “Jake, are you there?” His rich American accent coming through alongside his articulation made Jakes knees buckle.
“H-Hi,” The Australian spoke up, finally composing himself and calming down enough to respond, “sorry about that..”
He heard a laugh on the other end, a LAUGH.
“oh?” and if Jake wasn’t already weak, now he was. “you’re much more different than how your texts seem, you sound cute though.”
The man on the receiving side of the compliments barely managed to squeak out a thank you.
“No need to be shy with me Jake,” The American said after a brief moment of silence. “You’re gonna be my boyfriend, right~ ?” Jake was at a loss for words, he scrambled in his mind to find a response. All he could do was nod to the question, and the other boy couldn’t even see him!
Jake took deep breaths trying to calm down his beating heart, “Hello? You there?”
The Australian finally responded, they talked about different things for what felt like a few minutes yet was shockingly 3 hours.
They talked about their ages and their birthdays, the schools they go to, what they plan on studying in college, or their favorite foods!
“No!! I swear you’ll like dogs once you meet Layla!!” The Australian had been trying to convince the now known older boy that his dog was the best. “Come on!! Layla is the best girl ever! You have to like her.”
He hadn’t even realized he had been pouting while saying that, with how important his dog was in his life his future partner needed to like dogs.
Wait. Wait. Wait. He has known this man for a few weeks, and is talking to him for the first time and is already considering him as a future partner?!
“I have to meet her first jake~ , but if shes anything like you I know I will love her.” Jay doesn’t know what has gotten into him. but the squeals and the giggles he hears from the other boy entices him to get a reaction out of him.
Jay was genuinely curious about the other, and wanted to know more about this part of his life that he was so excited with, “Tell me more about her?”
And was that a trigger word for Jake, he instantly got so cheerful that someone had an interest in his dog. As the Australian told him stories about Layla, his mind started to wonder while he was still listening.
He had totally forgotten about the group chat and how he told them all he had a boyfriend. He was brought back to it after it constantly continued to ring interrupting his time with Jake.

He refocused on the call he was currently in, Jake was still talking about how much he loved his dog and how much she means to him. He just laid down in his bed nodding along to the younger boy spouting nonsense about the animal.
Though, he wouldn’t call it nonsense because he listened to every word of it. He didn’t want the other to stop talking so he tucked the idea of joining the group chat into the deepest part of his brain, while nodding and humming every sentence or two that Jake said.
It was getting quite late for Jake, and Jay could clearly tell because of the way the others' energetic demeanor faded, being replaced by yawns and slurred words.
He could tell the Aussie was tired, and even insisted on leaving the call so the other could sleep. But he was much too stubborn to accept the offer, saying he wanted to continue talking.
After a few more minutes, Jake went silent on the other line. Jay was going to hang up until he heard a hum from the other side followed by an accent.
“Hey, Jay?”
“Hmm?”
“I’ll be your boyfriend.”
This caused Jay to snicker quietly, “okay. how should we start?” He had no idea how to even start this fake dating thing. He had a few relationships, all of them being described as “puppy love” or “too young” for him to truly understand the concept of romance.
He got no response from the boy, he grabbed his phone checking if the volume had accidentally been turned down. It was until he heard light snoring coming from the other side of the line that he pieced the situation together, “good night jakey.”

The younger boy was right, this would be the first time Jay would be seeing his crush with his best friend. He knew Jungwon since he was young, they had grown up together despite being two years apart.
The smaller boy was always a comfort place to him, he would be able to come home from school knowing the other would want to play a game with him.

Jay was in his last year of middle school, meanwhile the feline-eyed boy was in his second to last. The older had some after-school curriculars to attend to, but for some reason he was feeling so drained.
He wanted to go home and lay on his bed, or watch an anime in the background while playing video games. But he decided to push himself and join several sports programs, and music programs! The music programs weren’t an issue, he loved being able to write music and play for an audience like his family.
It was the sports that were taking a toll on him, he took it foolishly because he thought it would make his dad happier. His dad was already happy with him even while he played music! But it was much too late to back down from the sports season, so he continued playing baseball and looked up to his state's baseball team, the Mariners.
It was 7pm by the time he got home, he was exhausted getting upset at the smallest things like his shoes not wanting to fall off his foot, or his backpack being slightly heavier than normal (it wasn't, he was just really upset that night.)
He entered through the front door and went straight to the kitchen to grab a small snack, being greeted by his mother placing a kiss on his forehead handing him a bag of chips whilst apologizing that they had no food saying she would cook something up really quickly.
Jay just nodded, not wanting to accidentally snap at his mother so he excused himself to his room. The walk upstairs felt absolutely dreadful , his feet were heavy, he felt light-headed, and his stomach was growling to the point it hurt.
All his troubles seemed to melt away when he opened the door. There on his bed he saw the blissful sight of his best friend, laying on his bed sleeping with the setting sunlight peeking through the window. His body frozen still yet slightly raising up and down as he let out small snores.
The sight brought a smile to his face as he quietly put his bag on the ground, kneeling beside his best friend as he guided his fingers through the sleeping boy's hair. That was what made it suddenly click in his head, he had a crush on his childhood friend . and he always had been ever since then.

The pair was on their way shortly, so he took it upon himself to clean up his apartment. After he turned 18, he instantly moved out of his parents house. It wasn’t like he hated his parents or anything, but it was like he was in a cage not being allowed to fly.
After months of building up the courage, he talked to his parents and they completely agreed to allow him to move out, just as long as he made sure to visit them.
His parents were so quick to agree because they knew the potential of their son, they knew how confined he was in their home. The fledgling being contained in a cage turned out to be an eagle spreading his wings above everyone else.
But the eagle that others see as all mighty and prideful, was afraid of the world and what was yet to come. The fear of his wings being clipped or of losing his connection to his flock despite being known as a solitary.
He always lived life alone, he was an only child and his parents tended to work a lot back then. It left him alone with his terrifying thoughts, one a child shouldn’t think about until they’re older.
Jungwon had always been there to fill that silence, he protected the older from those negative thoughts.
Jungwon was all he had in those dark times, holding his hand never leaving his side. Now in these dark times he no longer has him holding his hand but in his vision holding the hand of another, someone that wasn't himself.
He sighed as he put a few dishes into the cupboards, preparing blankets and pillows in the living room because they always preferred to eat on the couch rather than at the table.
After cleaning he sat down on the couch, waiting for the ring of the doorbell. Until then he decided to scroll around on his phone. It was already close to the afternoon in Australia, so why hadn’t the other boy woken up yet?
Jake didn’t seem like the type to sleep in, especially after being told all the sports and activities he put himself in. He shouldn’t even care, he’s only known the guy for a month or two he shouldn’t expect a text right as he wakes up.
He continued to scroll on his feed to fight away the thoughts of the Australian, that was before the doorbell rang. The music was accompanied by a knock pattern that only belonged to one man, he hurried to open the door.
“Hey guys! Come on in,” He moved the door to the side while his two friends took off their shoes, stepping onto the carpet. “Do you guys know what place you want to order it from?” Noticing the grocery bags that the youngest was holding, which was accompanied by an awkward smile flashing all his teeth towards him.
“uhm…” The youngest went on, “I was hoping you could cook it Jay-hyung! No place ever makes curry as good as yours..”
He had a mischievous grin plastered on that face of his, knowing the power he held over his childhood friend who just sighed and took the bags from the pair.
The action left Heeseung cackling while placing a small kiss onto Jungwons face, who just flared up red as they walked to the couch. It left a small sting in Jay's heart seeing the two closest people in his life together. They became each other's closest person, leaving him out.
He knows that they both love him, maybe not in the same way he truly did.
He started off in the kitchen removing everything from the bags as he heard the television switch on, automatically knowing that his disney+ account was about to be raided.
He put the excess plastic bags underneath the sink for future uses, and turned the faucet on to wash his hands. Also grabbing a pot to pour rice into, he grabbed three mugs full of rice and washed it continuously until the water was as close to clear as it was going to get.
He wiped the pot off as he placed it into the rice cooker, ensuring that he flipped the switch to cook before grabbing the peeler from the drawer and turning his attention towards the vegetables.
First going to the onions and getting the peel off them. Looking up while cutting them so he wouldn’t tear up. They were cut into half slices, perfect for the recipe. He put them aside and grabbed a few carrots.
He peeled each one slowly, while trying to decide what to do next. The meat that they brought was chicken, so he automatically assumed they wanted some sort of katsu curry.
Not wanting the vegetables to overshine the main protein, he cut the carrots into smaller than usual pieces. He cut them into normal slices, then proceeded to turn them in fourths putting them aside turning his attention to the potatoes.
Each one differed in size, he grabbed the three largest ones and put the others to the side. He chose not to use all of them, partially because they brought him a few too many. He didn’t need to use all nine potatoes, and he had absolutely no idea why they even bought so many.
He cut them into small pieces, putting them right next to the carrots on the tray.
He grabbed a pot and put it onto the stove, turning it on and pouring oil into the metal casing. Waiting for it to heat up enough for him to pour the onions into it, giving it time to simmer and saute.
The onions started getting less visible and the corners started to slightly burn, pouring the cut up carrots and potatoes into the pot alongside the onions stirring them around. The vegetable surfaces slowly started to fry, indicating to him that he needs to finally pour in the water and bring the heat up.
He let it rise in temperature until boiling, turning down the heat while putting a lid on top of it letting it simmer. Walking away towards the living room to see the couple cuddling on his couch, when he tugs a bittersweet smile onto his face as they both look at him.
He opened his mouth slightly, ignoring the twinging in his heart.
“what are you guys watching?”
The older of the two just smiled as he responded, “well… won wanted to watch beauty and the beast, turns out it’s his favorite.” He said while nuzzling his face into the younger's neck, causing both of them to laugh.
of course he would want to watch beauty and the beast, it was his favorite movie ever since they were eleven. Though Heeseung probably didn’t know that until now, he just nodded and turned back to the kitchen before they could see the smile on his face fade.
The veggies seemed not to have cooked thoroughly enough as he would like, so he decided to distract himself by starting the chicken.
He reached into the top cupboards for the seasoning and trays to start preparing the chicken, seasoning it with only salt and pepper because he wouldn’t want the chicken flavor to clash with the curry rather have the two compliment each other.
He broke the curry roux into pieces and plopped it into the mixture, making sure to stir it a little before placing the lid back on and putting it on low allowing it to dissolve.
He poured flour into a tray, then proceeded to do the same process with eggs and panko mix. He picked up the chicken, dipping it and coating it in the flour then switched to the egg mixture making sure it was fully covered before completely rolling it around in the panko mix.
He had already prepared the oil beforehand, he took one of the chicken breast halves and put it into the hot oil, placing another one into the oil right after. He waited for the two chickens to crisp up and become perfectly golden brown.
As he waited he grabbed a tasting spoon and lowered it into the curry whilst blowing on it.
“Jungwon-ah, can you try this for me really quickly?” He heard shuffling from the other room accompanied with, “coming hyung!”
The older man continuously blew on it until the other boy walked into the room, holding the spoon out for the other boy to grab. The younger man didn’t seem to get the memo as he put the spoon in his mouth, while Jay had been holding it.
Jungwon nodded and smiled after tasting it, exclaiming how good it is outloud and how much he missed the taste of Jays curry while walking back to the couch with his boyfriend on it.
There stood Jay frozen in the kitchen appalled, holding the spoon out like he had been previously. Though this time his ears were brightly colored, completely covered with blush that shouldn’t be there.
Jungwon went to sit back down with heeseung when he saw a phone light up on the other couch. He knew whose phone it was because Jay always kept it plain and simple opposed to his own colorful phone case.
He was about to call out to the cooking man that someone texted him until he read the message himself, ‘from jakey: Im so sorry I fell asleep!! I just woke up! I slept really late because of the call”
He softly smiled to himself as he sat back under the blanket with heeseung who looked concerned,
“Hey love, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing.. nothing at all”
He pressed a kiss against the olders cheek as they continued watching beauty and the beast.
Jay snapped out of his haze as he stirred the curry a little more, double checking the consistency before turning off the heat then having his attention diverted towards the chicken that looked the ideal golden brown that he was going for.
He took the chicken out and let it rest on a tray while putting the rest of the chicken into the oil to deep fry. After a few minutes they were done so he took them out and turned off the heat, grabbing a knife and cutting the chicken into pieces.
He opened the rice cooker and took three plates out of the dishwasher with the rice scooper. He piled each plate up with rice directly on the side, as he neatly organized it into an oval-like shape with the scooper.
Afterwards he placed the chicken along the outskirts of the rice acting as some sort of barrier as he poured the curry onto the plate. The plates were now finished, the white rice glistening with the cutlet next to it trying to make sure the two don’t mix.
He carried all three plates to the living room with the respected utensils as the two on the couch stood up to grab the plates from him. They sat around the coffee table he had in the living room, sitting around it until Jungwon stood up and walked towards the kitchen, coming back with a smaller plate leaving the sitting boys confused.
The youngest just giggled as he sat down, picking up the cutlet pieces and placing them down onto the other plate explaining that he didn’t want them to be soggy.
“Listen!! If you let the chicken sit there the breading is gonna get soft! I like my food with a crunch!!” He tried to reason with them, but Jay just stared at him with furrowed brows.
He himself much rathered to cut a piece of the chicken in half, placing it on top of the rice mixture then putting it into the curry to absorb the flavor. He looked over at Heeseung, and the other had already mixed everything together.
He took a bite of it first, the thickness of the curry paired amazingly with the slightly sweet taste coming from the seasoning but the saltiness of the chicken tied it down just the right amount on his tongue.
The chicken still had its crunch adding texture against the pure softness of the fluffy rice, the entirety of the dish as a combination was absolutely heavenly and judging from the faces of the other two with him they agreed.
He cracked up when he heard the youngest vocalize a sound of satisfaction as if he had never had the dish before, meanwhile Heeseung looked way too focused on trying to shove as much curry down his throat as humanly possible.
It brought him back to when he first ever moved into the apartment.

He and Jungwon had been moving his stuff into his new apartment for the past few hours, so he decided to surprise the other with curry. He had never tried to make curry before, but he’s watched his mother cook it for him so it couldn’t be that hard !
It in fact was harder than he thought it should’ve been; he cooked the chicken a little bit too long to the point that it was burnt, the curry was far too watery for it to be anything close to edible, and he forgot to hit cook on the rice cooker. It was a disaster, and to top it all off Jungwon just finished putting all of his clothes away into the closet!
The smaller boy walked in with a grimace on his face, which soon turned into a gigantic smile realizing what the older had been trying to prepare.
“Sorry Won-ah… I tried really hard..” The cook had been so embarrassed, but even worse he felt bad because he knew the boy had been hungry after helping him move in and he couldn’t even do this small task.
“Haha! It’s okay hyung!!” The boy stepped forward towards the stove and took the lid off of the curry, “let it cook without the lid, my mom told me it helps thicken it!”
The older one just nodded along to what the boy had been saying, “and then we can wait for the rice to cook while letting the curry cook longer!! go stir the curry okay?”
He instantly grabbed the wooden spoon and started stirring it but much to his dismay, the younger yelled at him.
“slower hyung!! and why are you so harsh with it!!” He turned his head to face his childhood friend who was cutting the burnt pieces off of the chicken.
He apologized while slowing his stirs down, and making them ten times more gentle. It felt really domestic, having his crush next to him cooking, trying to make their dinner together so they could eat it before the sun went down.
The rice finally finished and the curry finally thickened up, so they plated it up quite messily and they moved to the living room to eat. Jay had no furniture in it for the time being apart from a television, so they sat down on the floor eating while Jungwons favorite movie had been playing.
“I’m sorry again..” The older had continued, “for ruining your curry. I wanted it to be a surprise for all of your hard work..”
The other boy just smiled as he put his pinky finger out, “It’s okay! Next time you better cook me some curry and make it the most delicious I have ever had.. Okay ?”
This put a smile on his face as they locked pinkies, and ever since that day Jay made sure he made only the best curry he possibly could for his adorable childhood friend.

They continued to eat the curry with the movie filling the silence before Jungwon broke it, “Oh! Yeah hyung! Someone named Jakey texted you earlier.”
He instantly turned to where his phone was and grabbed it before trying to play it cool, unfortunately his tough dude act was already broken.
“who is he hyung?” the younger tilted his head, and heeseung also stared at him before grabbing all the plates and putting them in the sink.
“my boyfriend won-ah.. jake is my boyfriend..” He heard a clatter in the kitchen as the elder ran into the room.
The oldest blurted out very loudly, “what! I thought you were lying about that!” and sat back down in his spot.
Jay's eyes just widened, “why is it so surprising that I have a boyfriend..?” he questioned the pair as Heeseung opened his mouth.
“Jay. I love you and all but you are the straightest person that I know, and I am the captain of the basketball team.” His statement got nods from his boyfriend as he built off of his sentence,
“You only ever dated women when we were younger, and you always seemed prepared to move onto the next one.”
Now Jay genuinely felt offended at that, every relationship he was in he tried his hardest to make sure he was a good and loving partner. Did people really think of him as some playboy that passed girls around whenever he wanted?
The other two in the room could tell what they said hurt Jay based off of the scowl on his face, Heeseung stood up and excused himself to the bathroom looking at the youngest to dismiss the current situation.
“Hyung, you know we didn’t mean it like that right?”
He just hummed at the others words, he didn’t feel like responding.
Jungwon got up and sat next to Jay, putting his head onto the olders shoulder.
It was a familiar scene, this pose had been their most common whether they were on the bus, sharing headphones, or even just on his couch.
“We were just teasing you,” he says as Jay just replies
“I know.”
“But you dont!”
“Of course I do Wonny.”
“It’s just!” he moves his head off of Jay's shoulder and looks him straight in the eyes, “Its just.. I am so happy that you’re happy hyung.”
Jay's eyes softened as he reached forward to hold Jungwons hand, the action brought a smile to the other boy's face.
“I was always.. so scared hyung." This sentence caught Jay off guard as he tightened his grip around his childhood best friend's hand.
“I was so scared for you.. I always thought about you struggling to find someone !” The other continued on, tears swelling in his eyes. It took every muscle in Jay's body not to reach out and wipe the droplets for him.
However he knew that he couldn’t do that any longer now that they both have partners.
“Do you know how many nights I stayed up!” Jay just shook his head, not understanding the point trying to be made.
“I was so scared ... so scared hyung... I was terrified to think that you wouldn’t be able to find someone that loved every part of you..” This brought a frown to his face, he wasn’t sure if he should feel insulted at those words. “every part of you.. like I had done in the past .”
Jay's eyes widened as he stared at the now crying boy, “In the past?” he wanted to hear the boy explain himself, he impulsively grabbed at the boy's arm with both his hands. “Jungwon I-”
Before he could speak, Heeseung entered the room to see the scene unfolding in front of him. He instantly walked over and consoled his boyfriend, wondering what happened but didn’t question it because he knew his love needed comfort.
Jay and Heeseung exchanged glances with each other while the eldest held onto Jungwon, “I think we may have overstayed our welcome.”
The house owner audibly gulped and nodded, “Thank you for cooking us curry Jay-ah, I think it's time for us to leave now.”
“okay.”
The couple walked out of the door, the youngest still sobbing his eyes out as Jay just sat there. His eyes were glued to where his best friend sat, his vision glued to the visible tear stained ground.
He didn’t know what else to do at the moment, he just sat there. It was like his world flipped upside down, throwing him sideways. The world moving much too fast to be normal, the movie outro continued on playing insanely loud in his ear, the ticking of the clock matching the rapid beating of his heart one that should not have been able to match, and even the branch outside scratching on his window because of the wind made his senses overstimulate.
why had he grabbed his hand? why? what? huh? what does he mean in the past? why would he say something like that when he had a boyfriend? what the hell? why? does he hate me now? are we even friends anymore? what does any of this mean? did all of their friends know.
did all their friends know..? He instantly dialed the number of the figure skater.
He put the phone on speaker as he turned the tv off to block out any excess noise, the ringer filling up the now empty sounding space.
one ring.. two ring.. a third ring.
He hears distant chatter, yet inaudible to his ears.
“Hello? What’s up Jay?” He knew who the voice belonged to, someone familiar but the displeasure left a sour taste on his tongue.
“Did you..” He didn’t know how to ask, he was afraid to ask.. afraid of the consequences that might happen depending on the other man's reply.
Sunghoon stayed silent, questioning what it was that the American was trying to say. He glanced at Sunoo across from him who was currently taking photos of his pancakes, despite having them for almost 4 minutes and 43 seconds he had not cut into them yet.
He was absolutely smittened by the boy, though even if the man wasn’t in love with him back he still always wanted to be close to him. He was so wrapped around his finger that he couldn’t imagine a day without him, lover or friend.
“Did you know Jungwon had a crush on me?” The statement snapped the Korean out of his small daydream, confused by what was going on.
“Huh? What are you talking about?”
“Hoon. Please. I am not in the mood at all. I really need you to tell me.” He sounded exhausted, like he was on the verge of breaking. It was terrifying to hear your usually confident, hard-headed best friend being crumpled down to a pile waiting for the tears to drop so he can rebuild himself back up.
“Hey..? Is everything okay? What is going on Jay, you know you can tal-”
“HOON! Hoon. Just tell me. I just need to know. Did you have any idea… Did you know that Jungwon liked me?” His tone was sharp. Sunghoon did in fact know, but when he was told two years ago he didn’t realize the importance of the situation.
He thought that if he allowed their situation to play out they would miraculously get together, he didn’t think the younger would move on so quickly. He knew the two were made for each other.. So why is it the cruel fate of love decided to take that away from Jay?
“yes. I did know Jay.”
Sunghoon heard a shaky breath on the other line of the phone, the one person he felt he had over Jungwon in trust. The one person he felt would have been on his side during all of this. He knew and didn’t tell him, he didn’t know the reasoning, he would get it another day but right now he just couldn’t.
“Jay. I can explain I swe-”
The call disconnected, cutting the boy off. He instantly turned his screen back on and called his best friend.

He hit the recall button, hoping the other boy would come to his senses.

It was only 9pm, but honestly after the day he just had he wanted to sleep it all off. He couldn’t stop thinking about what happened with Jungwon.
He really wanted to know what the younger man meant by what he said, but he was too afraid of hearing the honest truth. If he spent so many years of his life pinning over his childhood best friend, who potentially had a crush back on him. How should he feel? They could have already been official, the amount of dates they could have been on, places they could have visited, as he was thinking about the what ifs he started the trip to his bedroom.
He opened the door to his room, it was pitch dark. There was no light guiding him to where his bed was, and certainly no angel in the room to make him feel better.
He made it to his bed, not before he stumbled upon one of the pairs of shoes he forgot to put away. Thankfully he hadn’t fully tripped and laid down on his bed, the thoughts just in his brain left him busy until he drifted to sleep.

Jake looked out the window as they drove past houses and fields of grass, the ride to his team's regular football field was only a 10 minute drive from his house but this ride had to be delayed several times. It was so bad to the point his team spammed his phone asking when their captain would finally be at practice.
He played for his college team, and it wasn’t until last year that he became noticed by his coach. It was during one of the preliminary matches that Jake had played in during his second year.
Originally he was the sub-in for one of their winger players, but their center midfielder got fouled without the opposing side receiving a card. Their guy had to sit out because his calf had been bruised badly to the point where it would not stop swelling.
Instead of the people on the team that have been practicing in the center position, he was picked to play for the rest of the game. The guy who was a sub-in for the wingers was now playing in a position that controlled the entirety of the game.
It was the most nerve-wracking thing he had ever done, he had to adjust from trying to take the ball from the opposing side and passing it to strikers.
The other team's offense was insanely good, so he was unable to go on offense.
The entirety of the time he was on field he was on defense, trying to make sure that the opponents couldn’t break through their defenses. It was a big game of back and forth that turned into a stamina war.
Jake's team would have the ball trying to get it forward, then they would have it stolen and the opposing side now has the ball trying to get it forward, which gets intersected by Jake's team again.
He didn’t realize it until afterwards but he was a key component as to why the enemies couldn’t break through.
Jake the entirety of the match kept head to head with many of the other players, predicting where they would be passing to, keeping up with them in speed, and even his own friendly players were able to easily get used to his playstyle!
He was such a unit that whenever the other team had the ball, they closed up any route that had him in the way. Just him existing on the field, already made it so they were at a disadvantage.
Jake didn’t realize it at first until the team brought it up with him, but he was genuinely one of the best midfielders the team has ever seen. So he got promoted from the bench onto the team, switching from winger to central midfielder.
His phone wouldn't stop buzzing , who else would it have been but his younger brother who also played on the team.

Seon was one of their starters, he wasn’t good but his family paid alot of money towards the club and even got their team sponsors.
The coach always took his side no matter that issue, and it was because he was afraid of losing all the money. but personally he thinks that their team is good enough to get sponsered even without having connections.
The bus reached his stop without any further issues and he saw the field in his vision. He could even hear yelling from the sidewalk, so he picked up the pace trying to hear the conversation.
“COACH! YOU CANT DO THIS!” The pleas sounded familiar, it belonged to their trust fund player.
“I can do what I want seon.”
“JUST WAIT UNTIL MY PARENTS FIND OUT.”
“just wait until your captain finds out.”
The coach sounded stern, which wasn’t normal for him. He was a strict coach but he was one that all the boys loved, including Jake himself.
He saw Riki look in his direction and point towards him, which now forced him to jog towards the situation.
“Hey! Sorry I’m late, is there a problem?”
All eyes were now on the captain, the coach spoke up.
“would you be alright when Seon is benched?”
The boy in question frantically moved his head around looking at both Jake and the captain while yelling, “BUT SIR! YOU DONT KNOW IF ITS TRUE OR NO-“
Before he could finish, Jake decided to spare him from the humiliation and cut him off.
“If you allow me to,” he stepped forward and put a hand on another’s shoulder. “let me put nicholas in his stead.”
Much to the other boys protests, the coach allowed nicholas to take his spot kicking seon off the team.
For practice, it was mainly just passing around and skirmishing, shuffling the members on each team to help work on comfortability with playstyles. It was peaceful, despite the rough beginning of practice and their team captain being a few minutes late.
But all in all it went smoothly and everyone went home, leaving Jake and his little brother to walk into a convenience store to grab some quick dinner.
“So… what exactly did happen with Seon?” The older of the two spoke up while picking out what kind of biscuits he wanted.
The younger perked up and instantly started talking, “Okay! So basically what happened was..” he looked around the store acting like it was some sworn secret, it was quite literally only them plus the cashier in the store.
“You didn't hear it from me.. but~ ” he looked all happy prancing around singing the line, “ supposedly … you remember that party that the performing unit hosted?”
He just hummed, picking up two bags of shapes before looking at his brother.
“pizza or barbeque?”
“bbq please”
The older tossed him the bag while he held onto his own bag of pizza shapes, “continue”
“alright! anyways,” they walked towards the candy aisle, “seon went with a few of his friends right?”
“right”
“they allegedly tried to..” he slowed down and got closer to the others ear, “drug some people..”
“WHAT” It caught the older off guard, instantly being shushed by his brother.
“I know! I know! Its fucking crazy!” He was laughing now while his eyes widened, and now Jake was really happy how quickly his coach took action.
“Damn..”
“Thats all you have to say!?”
“Well! I don't know what to say Riki”
Even if they were yelling, neither meant it and they were giggling all the way up to the cash register. Their total came up to a total of 26 AUD, while paying he had a brilliant idea.
He took out his phone and snapped a photo of the two snack boxes.
“What was that for hyung?” The younger questioned him as he grabbed the biscuits from the counter.
“Nothing! It's so mom and dad see that we ate something.” He had lied as easily as he could breathe, it's not like it was a bad thing though! It was very simple and there was nothing wrong with taking a photo of his snacks…
They walked outside and towards the bus stop, Riki had already opened his box and was chowing down on the biscuits. He handed one to Jake, he accepted it and ate it while they reached the bus stop.
They sat there talking about their classes, or what they had for dinner, or even drama that Ni-Ki had heard from his friends. It only took a good ten minutes before the bus arrived, so the two boys sat on the bus.
The older brother noticed the younger's droopy eyes and nudged him, offering up his shoulder so he could sleep. He smiled as he laid his head on Jake's shoulder, not forgetting to thank him before falling asleep.
Taking out his phone and snapping a selfie of his normally cool looking brother looking so adorable on his shoulder, he was definitely going to make fun of him later.
He decided to open up his messages app, and open up a specific chat room.

Fuck. Jake thought to himself as he put his phone away, he knew how disappointed his friends would be if he ever told anyone about this crush. He knew how disappointed his brother would feel knowing he just openly flirted with an American man while he was asleep.

Jay laid in bed for a few more minutes after closing out the chat with the Australian. He took deep breaths as he went to his contacts list.
He knew why his best friend kept a secret from him, was he still upset? yes.. but he was alone and he hated being alone. He knew he needed to rekindle with his friends, and after he fixed it by apologizing. A specific cat-eyed boy is his next target for apologies. he hit dial on the figure-skater's number.

“jay!” It didn’t even ring by the time that the figure skater answered, his voice full of worry and a tinge of regret.
“I swear I wanted to tell you! I know I didn’t but I thought you guys would be able to figure it all out,” The boy had started rambling, one thing about Sunghoon that not alot of people would know is the amount of how little friends he has.
He was so afraid of losing friends that he always tried to keep the small group around him at all times, and when Jay wouldn’t answer his calls he was afraid of losing his best one.
“I thought that you and Jungwon would finally confess.. I didn't think he would date Heeseung hyung!” The younger sounded desperate, like he would die if he didn’t convince Jay right here, right now.
He just softly smiled, “it's okay hoon.. I understand.” He truly did even if it didnt sound like he did, he didn't want anyone's sympathy or their compassion for him.
It was an opportunity that he failed to pick up, and it was a chance he lost because he was too afraid of jumping forward.
“I am upset. But I know you didn't mean anything bad.. And I can't ever be upset at you for that.” He heard the biggest exhale from the other line, that made him laugh out so loud.
“hey! seriously. I was so worried and you’re laughing at me being concerned.”
“sorry. sorry.” Jay said in between laughs, his face shifting after what his best friend said afterward.
“would you like to join the group chat again..?” He sounded so unsure of even asking, he knew Jay would want to because they were similar in the way of being alone. Neither liked the silence that being alone brought, and to Jay being without any of them was his worst nightmare.
“I..” He stumbled out, “I want to clear things with Jungwon first.”
The other just let out a noise of approval, thinking of solutions that they could potentially use.
“maybe..” he smirked, “we can invite that jakey of yours?”
Instantly Jay shot up, “what? How do you?”
“Jungwon can’t keep his mouth shut when he’s upset..”
“Upset?”
“Of course dude, he just fought with his childhood best friend who wouldn’t be upset?”
Jay went silent at that, thinking back to when Jungwon was in tears just a few hours ago.
“ Anyways~ ” Hoons voice raising once again, “We should invite Jakey!!”
The American scoffed at the name, “It's Jake to you.” He didn’t like the way the other used the nickname so casually.
“Oh, So it's a nickname!” Sunghoon knew what buttons to push with Jay, and him being angry was so much better than him being sad.
It got Jay to groan out in disapproval, “I’ll add him after I talk to Jungwon.”
Sunghoon just cheered much to his dismay, they talked a bit longer about a bunch of harmless little things until they hung up.
He instantly switched to his messages and texted a certain someone telling him how it went.

Jake closed his phone once again, his brother still asleep on his shoulder. The bus was coming to his area thankfully , he could tell his little brother was exhausted and he wanted to rest.
Alast the final stop, he shook the younger one up as he waited patiently for him to adjust to the light before finally getting off the bus. They walked a bit longer to reach their house, taking out his key and unlocking the door letting Riki enter first.
The other instantly excused himself to his room, and he couldn't help but pity the younger seeing how tired he was. He just nodded and let him escape into the soft blankets as Jake tidied up.
Their parents normally are here around this time, but when they entered the house and were faced with a dark hallway he decided to investigate. He slowly crept to the kitchen, the lamp being on the lowest setting barely lighting anything.
There stand two plates of food on the kitchen island alongside a note, he picked it up reading it to himself.
‘ me and your father decided to finally go out on a date tonight! we got dinner prepared for you two so you just need to heat it up! I love you guys, see you later! - Mom’
He just smiled as he peeked under the tinfoil to reveal a dish of salmon paired with rice. It smelled really good but he honestly wasn’t that hungry. He ultimately closed off the casing and walked upstairs to his room.
He put his bag aside and hopped into the shower, scrubbing himself because of how much he sweat at practice today. It wasn’t a long shower at all, he got in, bathed, and got out unlike his brother who just slept.
Couldn’t blame him though, if Jake had a schedule like his he would also be feeling dead everyday. He laughed to himself remembering what his first year was like before remembering he had to call a certain someone.
He quickly opened his messages app, clicking on his profile and hitting the call button.

“Hello?” The accent seeping through the phone reaching the Americans ear instantly.
“Hey Jakey” The american responded, and was Jake glad that Jay couldn’t see him through the screen.
Jake was never officially in a relationship of any kind, sure he was hot, and he was nice, and he was basically everything girls wanted. But the problem was he was everything girls wanted! It was always so awkward turning down the hottest girls at school with an excuse other than, “im gay”!
So whenever a man even gives him a fourth of his attention, he always seems to get attached. In his first year of highschool he was partnered with Youngbin, and instead of looking at his textbooks and reading about war! He was worried about what Youngbin could do with that mouth. Which! He will admit it was not the best thought.
The fantasy ended once he found out that Youngbin was a cheating, abusive, and overall rude bitch.
But the American wasn't like that… No! He mentally slapped himself, No! No! Stop that! He most definitely should not be thinking of the other in this way. I mean they have been talking a lot recently! And most guys that show Jake any type of affection always seem to have his heart.
It wasn’t his fault people couldn’t even reach the bare minimum nowadays!
“Hey? Everything okay..?”
“Y-yeah! Sorry. I just had a busy day.” And did the boy lie? Yes. It was in fact not a busy day. Well in his defense it was! It just wasn’t why he was quiet. But what was he going to say? ‘Sorry! I was too busy thinking about how I'm developing a big fat crush on you and I have only known you for about a month!’
Funny.
“Okay! Okay!” The Australian spoke up, trying to move the topic quickly, “What kind of story do you want to have?”
The other just hummed, “Maybe we can say we met while playing a game?”
“Hmm.. What do you play?”
“Well, I play abit of everything. What do you play?”
“Valorant, Rainbow, Overwatch, Leag-”
“Do Not say League Of Legends.. Please right after I thought you were kind of cute..”
“Woah! What the hell! Its not that bad!”
“Jake.. I don't know if I can continue this relationship..”

The two instantly replaced the conversation with laughter, and after a few minutes the older spoke up
“Okay okay!! we need to figure this out so you can go to bed.”
“ME!? Its like three in the morning for you now..”
“Doesn't matter. How does it sound making us meet in seattle?”
“Jay.. I don't know the first thing about seattle..”
“Its okay! they dont know that!”
“What if they figure it out!?”
“Just say you loved the space needle! Thats where I took Sunghoon when I first met him!”
“I forgot you’re friends with THE Park Sunghoon..” The Australian had seen clips of the supposed ‘ ice prince ’ online before. The title did not disappoint, the man was breathtaking. He was ethereal, he was majestic, he was the standard, and he would not be surprised if the ice skater came out with a secret relationship.
“Yah! Why do you sound so much more interested in him than me?!”
“Maybe I am..” He just snickered as the other gasped over the phone.
The story they came up with was; Jake had come to Seattle for a family trip and they met in a cute little place called cafe manifesto. The foreigner had ordered a cappuccino while waiting for his parents to finish shopping, his older brother also stepped aside to check out a game store.
Right as the barista told him his total he completely forgot that his sibling brought his wallet with him! It was so embarrassing to tell her that he wasn’t able to pay for a 4 dollar drink, he was about to tell the worker when the guy behind him offered to use his card.
The two sat down together and introduced themselves, the super nice and rich and good lookin-
“wait.. aren't we exaggerating this a bit too much…?”
“shhh… I need my friends to think you fell for me hard jakey”
He just smiled as they continued retelling the story.
-guy was named Jay. He was born and raised there, and when Jake offered to pay him back once his brother arrived the rich boy wouldn't take it. He quote on quote said,
“How could I make a cutie pay for his own drin-”
Jake groaned out, “why is it so cheesy?”
“Do you not like it like this?! I thought it was cute~”
He just continued to roll his eyes as they finally finished the story.
Unfortunately the Aussie had to leave, but they exchanged numbers and started texting everyday. Which then turned into Jay confessing his feelings for Jake and them falling in love and living happily ever after!
They both approved of it, making sure to have the finer details memorized before he officially met his friends. There was one thing that made the boy unsure though,
“Do..” Jake paused thinking he may have been moving too fast.
“Do I what?” The other boy responded with a tinge of amusement found in his voice.
“Nevermind, Its nothing.”
“Its not nothing if you have to think about saying it Jakey.”
“Its nothing Jay! I swear! I was just wondering..” He decided to just be brave here, Jay seemed sweet and there wasn’t an answer lower than no, “would I be able to see your face? So I know you’re not an old man or something! But if not that’s completely understandable and I know it was ru-”
He was cut off from his rambling to the call notification ringing once more, asking him to accept transferring from call to facetime.
“You don’t have to turn your camera on Jakey, you can look at me first, okay?”
He acknowledged that and turned off his camera first, afraid the way he looked would offput the other. He slowly accepted the facetime offer, and it took longer than usual to load.
One second… Two seconds… Three seconds… Four Sec-
Ding!
And on the other side was the finest man he has ever seen.
“Sorry Jakey.. It's like 3 in the morning here so I threw on the first things I saw.”
Jake will start praying everyday as a thank you for allowing Jay to live in the world. The man with his camera on was wearing a loose fit gray shirt that lowered in the collar area allowing him to see his very attractive collarbones. His skin was such a pretty golden honey color, making it seem like he goes out in the sun often.
He was in a pair of black sweatpants, and he had a golden chain over his neck. His jawline so chiseled that even the famous Greek and Roman sculptures would feel threatened. His hair slightly parted and slick back, that literally anyone would fawn over.
If Jake had anything to say, it would not be his brain that would be talking.
He was so Jake's type. He was the hottest man he had ever seen, and the person who had that position before was in fact Park Sunghoon, his best friend.
“Can you trust me now?”
Seeing the other boy made him feel really close to him, and confident enough to also show off what he looked like. There was a silence between the two of them, Jay going to say something but before he can he sees the others camera flash on.
There he was, with a window in the background with the shining sunlight. But nothing could have prepared Jay for the real sun that appeared on his screen. The boy seemed to be upon a built in section for people to sit on.
He was in a normal white hoodie that seemed to be quite big on the boy, the words ‘ESSENTIAL’ printed on the front of it referencing the brand. He had baggy oversized khaki pants on, ones that Jay could barely see because of the angle of the camera.
He had parted hair, one he would call ‘salt & pepper’ It was a creative grayish color up until the tips which were colored darker than the rest. It was so different that if it was anyone else it would probably look terrible. But nothing at all could make Jake look unattractive, and Jay had the guts to say that.
He thought he did.. His mouth was left gaping wide open, being left to hangout and shrivel up to die!
“Does this answer your trust question?”
And the two just smile at each other. Their conversations continued with neither of them seemingly wanting the conversation to end, but it was nearing four in the morning for the American.
It was getting quite late for Jake as well, so what did they do? They fell asleep on call to get more acquainted with each other.
The older boy had been the first one to fall asleep, it was only five minutes after they laid down! The Australian thought it was really funny how quickly he fell asleep, he didn’t snore! But he did talk in his sleep, well more so.. sing? In his sleep.
He also just leaned more into his pillow, snuggling into it whilst trying to sleep. But he continued hearing vibrations on the other side of the call, which apparently Jay could sleep over!
But it didn’t really matter because only a few more minutes until Jake finally drifted to sleep.

He opened his eyes as he slowly got up, looking at his phone to see the time only to see the image of another. His eyes caught sight of gray hair ruffled into a pillow, a grip on it as if someone were to steal it.
This brought a smile to his face as he screenshotted the image, going to their messages to set it as the contact profile until the previous smile faded from his face.
‘ from jungwonnie: hyung can we talk? call me back when you see this.’
He bit the inside of his lip and went back to the video call, he cautiously sighed as he hung up on the sleeping boy.
He clicked on his childhood best friend's contact and called the number.
One ring.. Two ring.. Thre-
Silence.
There was nothing said between the two, you were able to hear the breathing from the line. Both too afraid to start off the conversation, or even to say what was wrong and what they wanted to apologize for.
It was until the younger faced his fears and spoke up, “Hyung.” receiving a small mumble from the older.
“Can we meet? I would rather talk about this face to face..”
Jay just accepted and they planned to meet up at a diner to have breakfast together.
He put on casual clothing and made his way to the car. He drove to the place with the radio lightly playing one of his favorite songs. Albeit, right now it felt like a bittersweet sound.

He walked into the classroom to find the other sitting alone, “Hey Won-ah? Not having lunch?”
The sitting boy turned his head and smiled, “No! I was waiting for you, my mom packed extra so I could share it with you!”
The older made his way into the seat next to him as they pulled out the lunch box, which had two containers full of Japchae. Each one individually personalized to their tastes, they called the youngers mother to say thank you before digging in.
It was until halfway through lunch that he realized that something had been forced into his ear. He skeptically looked at the other who had the biggest grin on his face, “I found a new song the other day! I want you to listen to it with me!”
Nodding along, he continued digging into the delicious meal while his crush got the music set up.

The calming melody and meaningful lyrics really made the moment feel much more intimate than planned.
With the younger's head on his shoulder as they listened to the song on loop, and from that day onwards it was his favorite song.

He arrived at the diner parking his car, already seeing the boy in the window sitting down twiddling with his fingers like he always does when nervous.
He walked into the building and sat across from the other as they just stared at each other.
There were so many questions he wanted to have answered, but also so many things he wished to not know. He had a slight feeling that he would rather know nothing over knowing everything.
The two ordered food first before beginning their conversation, so once the waiter had left was when the younger opened his mouth.
“Can we… leave it behind us?”
And his eyes widened at the words. He knew Jungwon was embarrassed by it but he didn’t know that it would be something he couldn’t even talk about.
He sighed and opened his mouth, “before we do I also want to say something.”
The other just looks up at him tilting his head in a way that would cause Jay to fall inlove all over again.
“I also did have a crush on you,” there was a gasp, “I guess if either of us spoke up we could’ve happened huh.”
There was this tension between the two and the lingering question of ‘what if.’
“But..” Jay saw the younger struggling to formulate sentences, “we’re both happy now. with our partners and our friends.. and in a few years we’re just gonna laugh about this! I just don’t want to lose you..”
He stuck out his pinky finger as he said that, and Jay who was suppressing one of those lovestruck grins just locked fingers with the other.
They instantly got back into the groove talking about everything going on in their lives, like they weren’t just sobbing their eyes out in the living room the other day.
They talked continuously even after their food arrived, the younger talking even with his mouth stuffed with eggs.
After a while both boys finished their food and asked for the check. Before Jungwon could even pull out his wallet, the other had already put his card onto the checkbook.
“Hyung~ let me pay!!” As he reached across the table for the check, but the older was quicker and raised it up.
“It’s on me Wonnie, don’t worry.”
The boy pouted, “wont your boyfriend get jealous you’re treating another man?”
A mischievous glint in his eyes as he said that, which got an eye roll from the older.
“he’s not a jealous person don’t worry.. he knows I love him..”
A sentimental smile shows on the boy's face, “I’m glad hyung.”
The two walked out together and said their goodbyes, leaving Jay to go back home.
He reminded Jungwon to add him back into the groupchat, so at home he had something to do.

Jay set his phone down as he quickly opened his laptop and got to work. His parents hired him as an intern at their company, and he’s been slowly working his way up. He was currently a director of finance on the board.
He’s been making charts of their spendings and budget decisions, sending it to the higher ups to decide on. It was currently 10 in the morning, so he planned to work until late in the afternoon for dinner.

He hadn’t even realized how long he had been working, that was until he felt his phone vibrating on his desk. He ignored it at first but after multiple other times he checked, before reading the messages he realized it was now almost 4pm.
He worked for 6 hours without even realizing it, but ignoring that he caught up with the messages in the groupchat smiling at the interaction before the Korean name from Jake threw him off-guard.

Jake really was upset, but the way Jay knew he was and wanted to fix it in the same day made his heart thump.
He made his way downstairs to see his family sitting on the couch, watching some sort of horror movie on the tv. He would feel offended that they didn’t invite him, however he wasn’t the biggest fan of those types of movies.
He ran to where the remote was pausing it, getting complaints that it was just getting good.
“Hyung! Why did you do that!!” The youngest of the family threw a pillow at him, which he caught single handedly. Because he was so cool and awesome, just throwing it back at him while his parents also questioned him.
“What do you guys want to eat?” He sat down on the couch with all three heads turned towards him now. His mother contemplating what her eldest just said, “What? Probably the left overs in the fridge.”
He puffed his cheeks up in response to that, “lets order takeout!! come on!”
His father stood up, taking the remote from him and sitting back down,
“take out with what money? I know we all would love takeout, but things have been getting expensive lately.”
With a grin he pulled out his apple wallet and showed off what the american has just give him, “with this!”
The trios eyes all widened, that even medusa would be able to turn them into statues from a mile radius away. His parents questioned where he even got the money, while the younger instantly started to pull out the menu from a steakhouse they never got to eat at often.
It took a little bit of convincing but they soon faltered and gave in the temptation of expensive and good tasting food.

He ordered them all their food, and while waiting for the food scrolling on tiktok his little brother came in.
“Hyung be honest with me here,” he sat up after laying down stretching and clocking his head diagonally, “do you have some sort of drug business?”
“WHAT” He jumped up and instantly walked towards the other putting both hands closer to the boy and tickled him, “YAH IS THAT WHAT YOU THINK OF YOUR OLDER BROTHER”
The boy was laughing outwardly asking him to stop and that he was sorry, “it- HAHA- was just- STOP- a joke!!”
After a few more tickles he sat back down on his bed, patting the spot next to him which the other sat down in.
The older looked over at the younger, suddenly missing the past when he used to be taller than the boy. Now he had been outgrown by a massive amount, and at this point people believed that Jake was the younger one. It was always such a humbling experience.
They just sat there silently on their phones as they heard the door bell ring, so he instantly took out his phone and texted Jay.

He went downstairs and grabbed his meal, putting it onto a plate and making it look nice. It was a hanger steak, one that was coated and glazed with kimchi paired with miso butter. There had been sauce drizzled on it, with its name being one he couldn’t even pronounce. It was next to baked potatos all cut up into pieces, and even grilled shrimp!
He took the plate upstairs alongside the right utensils, and sat down at his desk dialing the Americans number.

The call loaded as he saw Jake sitting in a chair with a plate infront of him, in the background he was able to see a bookshelf that was cluttered and looks like it hadn’t been cleaned.
There were posters all over his wall, each portraying a different artist or sports player. But he also had a few photos around, which Jay assumed was just photos of his friends.
They greeted each other and instantly started eating their meals while talking, it was like they weren’t just arguing earlier.
In the middle of their conversation, Jakes door swung wide open as a tall boy walked in.
The Australian instantly tried to hit the mute button, but he failed to do so before the boy commented on anything.
“Hyung! Try this! It’s so delicious!! I missed having this.” This made Jay smile, the boy seemed like Jakes younger brother that they’ve previously been talking about.
Jake was just furiously nodding while switching his eyesight from his phone to his brother, “Try some Hyung!”
He shook his head and said it was okay, but the younger started making a revving noise and ‘airplaned’ it towards Jake. Jay instantly started screenrecording as he watched how cute Jake looked as he opened his mouth, not wanting to deny the request from the tall boy.
He just let out a noise which they all knew meant it was good, and the taller instantly left the room satisfied. Jake apologized for what just happened but Jay reassured him that it was fine.
They continued talking, but Jake suddenly got a text from his younger brother.

They looked at each other through the screen and just grinned, they waited until the final minute as they counted down together, “3, 2, 1, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!”
Jake looked at how excited the other was for him, and he felt absolutely inlove. It still hurt him to know that they were ‘fake dating’ all because he couldn’t get over his friend.
Jay encouraged him to open the box, which was scarily heavy.
He slowly opened the box, only to find multiple different lego sets.
There was the millennium falcon, the disney castle, a replica of himeji castle! And Jake gasped as he pulled out the imperial destroyer set that Jay had bought from months ago.
“Naur way!” His accent made him say the word differently, “Oh my god! Why did you give this to me?!”
The rich boy just chuckled, “I got it for you.. Specifically for you.”
This just made him blush HARD, that Jay seemed to even notice already. He watched as Jake slowly lined them up on his desk, basking in the sight of all the lego pieces together like that. He was a really big lego person, but they were always so overpriced so he never really bought them.
“wait, wait, before you fall inlove with me read the letter first.”
His seriousness made Jake rather afraid as he pulled the letter out from the bottom of the box. It was in a brown envelope, only having his name written on it like anyone else would read it.
He slowly ripped the envelope open as he pulled out a handwritten note.

They faced each other with two separately wrapped presents, “Hey, are you sure you’re okay with opening your presents early?”
Jay just nodded and told him that it was fine.
They talked about things they thought that the other got them, and they gave small hints to what they actually got.
Jay decided to open his first, and Jake got him a jar full of paper stars. He also got a really cute sweater, and Jake sent him some shapes! Which he had him review right then and there.
Then it was Jakes turn to open the gift, it was only an envelope which was strange to him because Jay would normally go all out. He slowly unsealed the envelope to see 4 tickets to America, and a receipt for a hotel.
It was overall thousands of dollars on the hotel alone, not even counting the tickets.
He instantly shouted at Jay, “theres no fucking way! You didnt! OH MY GOD JAY NO YOU DID NOT.”
Jay instantly grinned, “I did though. I want to see you.”
“I WANT TO SEE YOU TOO! BUT THIS IS SO EXPENSIVE?” He had tried to reason, but to no avail.
He instantly went downstairs and told his family about it, and they were all super supportive. They were all willing to go to America with him to visit his boyfriend, and Riki was super excited to go! He had always been fascinated with American culture, and now he was able to see it in person!

He looked up to see the boy holding up a sign with his name on it and with him stood his friends including the koreans, he instantly dropped all his baggage and sprinted towards him.
Jay did the same thing, giving the sign to Sunghoon as he made his way through the crowd.
They connected and embraced each other in a warm hug, the American reaching for a kiss instantly and the Australian allowing him to. They kissed as they heard yells and cheers going off, signaling one thing.
They broke apart as they had foolish grins spread across each of their faces, and right before Jay goes back to kiss his boyfriend again he has one thing to say.
