Summary
Izuku Midoriya dreamed of having a quirk, any quirk, one day while visiting his grandfather he found an old chest. Inside was the life and history of his grandmother, Nana Shimura. Along with one of her old costumes, his grandfather told him that his quirk would one day come in, that one day maybe he could even fly just like his grandmother did.
Inside One For All, something happened, something changed when Izuku touched the cape. She could see her grandson, hear his voice, feel the pain he felt as he would desperately try for a quirk. She laughed watching him wrap the cape around his shoulders and jump off the porch or the swings. The joy he felt for that moment he was weightless. The pain and anger her darling Inko had towards her, for not understanding why Nana had given her up for adoption, Inko's anger at the records being sealed against her finding her brother.
Then something happened, Nana was able to give her grandson his dream, she was able to pass her quirk to him. Izuku could now fly, just like his grandfather always said.
