Summary
In the aftermath of Mirabel’s failed gift ceremony, a close friend of Abuela, acting under misguided intentions, secretly performs a summoning ritual to relieve the matriarch of her cursed granddaughter.
However, the ritual goes awry, and the demon consumes the summoner’s soul. And, in what can be described as the most untimely of coincidences, Mirabel encounters the aftermath.
The demon takes an interest in the scared little girl, but in a rather uncharacteristic move, he bonds with her, without forming a contract.
For Mirabel, Sebastian becomes the friend and supporter she always desired. He cares for her deeply, comforting her whenever she feels sad, and always reassuring her that, even without a gift, she is just as special as the rest of her family.
Even though it’s weird that no one else in her family could see Sebastian, and as the time passes, strange things begin to happen in the Encanto and around her.
