Nova stood beside Scott breathing heavily as she watched Lydia and Jackson reunite. Scott turned to his best friend with a smile happy that Geared was done with, Scott didn't know what to expect seeing his best friend after she went missing but he didn't expect to be slapped across the face by her "Ow Nova!" Scott yelled holding his cheek
Derek, Peter, Isaac, Allison, Chris, Lydia and Jackson turned to the two when they heard the slap. Their eyes widen when they saw Nova glaring at Scott hate shinning in her eyes "What the hell Nova?" Scott asked looking at his best friend with wounded puppy dog eyes but it didn't affect Nova this time
"Don't you dare 'what the hell' me, Scott" Nova spat "How could you do that? Work with Gerard! Behind all of our backs, lie to Derek about being pack, lie to me, about you wanting to start fresh!" Nova shook her head tears filling her eyes from both the betrayal from Scott and the pain from Gerard. Her hands started to shake badly as she holds her side "How could you force Derek to bite him? How could you do that?"
"Nova, he- Gerard threatened my mom!" Scott told her trying to get her to understand reason. Nova shook her head "And you think he didn't threaten my dad!" Nova yelled making Scott shut up. He didn't know Gerard threatened Noah "Yeah, didn't know that did you" Nova spat making Scott flinch back "T-that's not fair. You didn't tell me, ho-"
"I tried" Nova interrupted "I tried to tell you but you kept cutting me off talking about her" Nova threw her hand towards Allison, Derek noticed that her sleeve pulled up showing deep bruises on her wrist "Because that's all you were worried about, was that if Allison still liked you, you couldn't see anything else"
Scott shook his head, no that wasn't true it wasn't... right
"Scott you've been my best friend since the sandbox and I have never treated you the way you've treated me since Allison came into the picture" Allison looked down moving closer to her father "I have been understanding. You canceled our Friday nights hangouts, I get that. You don't answer my texts because you were out with Allison, I get that. You bale on plans that been made weeks before for Allison, I get that"
Allison was feeling more and more ashamed as Nova went on. The looks she getting from Lydia and even her father make her feel horrible, she never noticed that Scott was blowing Nova off for her so many times
"What I don't get? I don't get how you can hurt everyone just for her, because even if your mom was threatened we both know why you did this" Nova stared straight into Scott eyes. Scott swallowed, of course Nova would know the real reason he did this was for Allison to be safe "And I can't take it anymore Scott, so you need to choose"
"What?" Scott asked shocked, just like everyone else in the warehouse. They couldn't believe this was happening and right in front of them, but everyone expect Allison could understand why Nova is making Scott choose. Since Allison came, Scott hasn't cared who gets hurt as long as Allison is okay, and this time, Nova father was threatened. They understand why Nova needs Scott to choose, they just hope he chooses the right one.
Nova took a deep breath trying to hide her tears but once she started talking everyone knew by the thick emotion in her voice that this was hurting her "You can't-you can't have both, it's me or her, pick!"
"No" Scott shook his head "I-no. I'm not gonna pick" Scott didn't see the incredulous looks he was getting from Lydia, Jackson and Isaac, those three knowing better than anyone how long Nova and Scott has been friends and how long Nova has protected Scott
"It's me or her. Do you want her-"
"Nova"
"Or do you want me?
"Nova. Nova, this isn't a choice"
"Why can't you just say me?"
Nova and Scott talked over each other tears falling down Nova face when Scott can't chose
"No I-"
"Allison or me now!" Nova yelled
"No I'm not gonna pick" Scott shook his head, he couldn't pick "You know what? Then we're done." Once those words left her mouth Scott stopped talking "We're done. I'm done Scott" Nova stared at her friend for a second longer before looking at Derek "Erica and Boyd took off into the woods. I don't know if they're still there but that's where I last saw them heading when we got out"
With that Nova turned to her Jeep and got in ignoring everyone else "Nova!" Scott yelled but Nova didn't look at him as she pulled away driving faster than allowed but she needed to get away from Scott. Peter leaned closer to his nephew "Is it just me, or did she smell like blood" he whispered. Derek took a deep breath and realized Peter was right, it smells like Nova blood "Yeah" Derek nodded in agreement
Isaac turned to his alpha with wide eyes "Did Nova just saw 'when we got out'?" The two older wolves paused remembering Nova words before they turned to Chris who was standing a little away on the phone "Argent" Peter called out low enough only for Chris to hear. Chris turned to them hanging up the phone "What did Nova mean when she said 'we got out'?" Chris looked at them confused before he paled
"She was in the basement" He whispered horrified
