    Summary

Any scholar worth their salt would be more than enthusiastic about being able to get their hands on centuries worth of previously thought to be undocumented history and truth- Even Kaveh is hopeful he’ll be considered eligible enough for the opportunity to see the Temple of Silence with his very own eyes, though he wouldn’t be upset if a younger Kshahrewar scholar with more fire in the game got the opportunity instead. He might be the Light of Kshahrewar, but he’s hardly greedy or selfish; if someone else gets the opportunity, he’s sure they’ll without a doubt deserve it.

So to say the very least, yes, Kaveh completely understands why a Haravatat scholar- even one such as Alhaitham- would be more than a little enthusiastic about being able to see the Temple of Silence as well.

... And regardless of what happens with the Temple, Kaveh is just relieved that things have relatively gone back to normal.

Or; Alhaitham finds out exactly how much untapped potential there is to the Temple of Silence's archives, and proceeds to be insufferable about it. Kaveh copes with this ordeal about as well as you would expect him to. That is to say, not at all. Your honor, please cut this man some due slack.
