Work Text:
Grian had always loved the way Bigb kissed him, hard and slow, like he was trying to savor the taste of Grian’s lips. The way he rubbed his thumb under Grian’s eye, and looked at him so lovingly it hurt. Bigb never failed to make Grian absolutely melt into a puddle.
Grian was sitting on the kitchen counter, Bigb’s hands on his thighs. He had his arms thrown over Bigb’s shoulders.
They were supposed to be making cookies, but then Grian had stolen a kiss, and they had gotten distracted.
Bigb leaned back, sighing happily. He managed to let go of Grian and turn back to his baking. Grian watched him work, admiring his soulmate. He whistled appreciatively.
Bigb tossed a chocolate chip at him, and he caught it easily in his mouth. He threw another, and Grian caught that one too, grinning. Bigb continued to throw chocolate chips as he worked. Grian caught most of them, but a few hit him on the nose. He giggled every time it happened, so Grian figured it was worth it.
He managed to swipe a couple bites of cookie dough, though Bigb batted his hands away every time. To appease him, Bigb gave him the whisk he had used for the chocolate cake cooling on the counter.
Bigb started humming as he rolled the dough into little balls and placing them on the baking sheet. Grian closed his eyes and listened. He adored Bigb’s singing; his soulmate had such a pretty voice.
When the cookies were in the oven, Bigb pulled Grian down from the counter to dance with him. They spun around the kitchen, the morning sunlight pouring through the windows.
This was exactly where Grian belonged. In this kitchen, in this sunlight, in this moment, with his sugar-sweet soulmate.
