    Scar should've hung up. It was bad enough he'd actually called. He should've lied, should've said it was a misdial and pretended to be okay. He should've done a hundred things and he did the one thing he shouldn't, because despite everything that happened between them, Scar felt safest with the one who hurt him.     The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.

    “I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”

    With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.

    This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.

    “Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

    Scar has transferred to start his second year at Hermiton University of Craft and Engineering in London, ready to leave America behind. What he doesn’t expect is to recognise one of his fellow students from his flight –Grian, and his adorable cat.

    Grian is back in England after a decade in the States, settling into business classes and hiding his cat in a dorm he technically shouldn’t have. Seeing his friends again is a breath of fresh air and meeting an attractive dude on his flight that happens to be attending the same university him was certainly a bonus.

    With Scar adapting to the differences between America and England, and Grian finally feeling at home after ten years, the two grow close.

    But not everything can be a fairy tale.
