Summary
Gio had fallen into their lives at a point where the safety net had more holes than threads to hold. He was young, had the signs of a life hard won and fought through, but he tried. Absorbed absolutely anything his family would give him, even when it was nothing at all. Dark eyes, taking in any and all of the light he could just to find himself.
It was a tragedy in three parts just to watch him thrive off wavering candlelights and embers, wandering around the halls like a detective finding hints of some past crime.
Mikey squares himself. Finds that thread left in him that’s farther and farther away every day. Gio deserves the light, he can make some for him. He can.
Or: a series of standalone oneshots about Giorgio Hamato finding a home, getting adopted, and being loved back--not necessarily in that order. Set in both timelines.

Ah. Grian put his finger to his lip and teased, "I think I'd like to travel back ten minutes and tell myself not to get in here with you."

Grian knew a secret.
The existence of 'time' was a fragile thing. Something easy to manipulate. Easy to pluck the strings and ride the wave back into the ocean, again and again to feel the wash. Dunking overhead, drowning in salt. Back in that moment.
Back in the desert.

The Wachowski's are waiting in the hospital for Tom to get discharged. It is a stressful time for all of them. It gets a little more stressful for Tails when Maddie begs him to merely hold Sonic's paw while she's away answering the doctor's questions. Tails agrees, and he finds himself holding onto a weirdly panicked Sonic.
