Summary
Grian never wanted to go back to this again. He wanted to build his life somewhere far away from them. Somewhere where he would feel truly safe. Somewhere where he could fall asleep peacefully and wake up peacefully, without worrying about how to avoid angering them.
So, if it wasn't clear by now, Grian wasn't much of a fan of family meetings. Yeah. Mainly because it was a direct invitation for Jimmy and Joel to meet him, and Grian categorically refused to entertain that possibility.
And it would have continued that way if Scar hadn't actually messaged him about celebrating the New Year.

It was just another early shift. One he, in all honesty, hasn’t been looking forward to.
To be fair though, he didn’t think anyone in their right mind would want to wake up at 4am on a Sunday- let alone work on one. Wasn’t it supposed to be a day of rest or something?
It wasn’t fair that he had to come in just so people could get some shopping done.
Not fair at all. But the world didn’t run on fairness. It ran on money and convenience, at least that’s what Phil thinks. He can’t help but think it’s run more on his personal pain and suffering but nuance never served him much good when working in customer service.

Techno works in customer service and he's on a work improvement plan. Its great that his boss, Phil, is happy to help him though!

He… was at the big playground. The very big one, where you had to run through a lot of mini castles and there was a wall to climb and all stuff, the zipline and at least three sandboxes. He went there only twice with his foster parents and he had to work really hard for it. It was so fun then.
It didn't seem very fun after the dark.
Wilbur looked up and he freezed for a second.
"Mister Craft?" He asked weakly.
Mister Craft, Technoblade's dad, smiled down at him. The big avian man was standing near the benches, a little strap contraption at his chest held a tiny baby with even tinier wings close. It had to be Tommy, Techno’s little brother.
"Mister Craft, what's happening?"
