Summary
After docking in Luskan, Balduran seeks solace at the legendary Cutlass Tavern. The night takes a poignant turn when an elven woman named Ellandra takes the seat beside him, neither of them realizing they shared a brief, soulful connection centuries ago. But in the early light of morning, truths go unspoken. Balduran omits the biggest part of his life: his long-term partner, Ansur, a bronze dragon.
As Balduran grapples with lingering feelings for Ellandra, Ansur faces his own mistakes and asks for help from his big sister. But it's Ellandra who runs and finds a sanctuary with her friend Gaius Dekarios and his family.
