Today was like another day at La Gueule de Saturne with the flood of orders coming with the Lunch rush going on and the occasional rude customers with Vincent currently working on some paperwork in his office. Overall it was a normal day for everyone at the bistro until one little rat snuck in while. Probably when Rody was busy taking out the trash and at first no one noticed. Until one chef named Andre heard a little squeak coming from the rat as it was right next to his foot.
Andre took a step back from his station and a panicked look appeared on his face as he was trying not to let out a scream as the rat skittered closer to him. As calm as he could grab the arm of the chef next to him, who’s name was Chloe, shaking her gently.
“There is a rat and if we don’t get rid of it soon I am going to scream” Andre whispered to Chloe praying that some wild act of god will get this rat out of here he also doesn’t mind if it’s dead. Unfortunately for Andre the chef who was working right across from him saw and said out loud to everyone making everyone in the kitchen look over at the pair. “Is that a fucking rat”
From there chaos ensued with now half the people there are panicking either because of the rat or Vincent’s reaction to seeing the rat and them panicking at the sight rather than just dealing with it. Once the rat twitches its nose and wanders closer to everyone that’s when Andre lets out a yelp as jumps on the nearest person aka Chloe full on panicking. “Kill it, kill it!” Andre, almost hysterical, kept saying it over and over.
“And how are we going to do that motherfucker?” A guy named Aiden glaring at Andre as he spoke. “I don’t with a knife maybe I don’t know ” Andre raised his voice as he held onto Chloe for dear life. Aiden scoffed before saying “If we do that then the rat isn’t the only one end up dead”
While Aiden and Andre were busy arguing
someone with some sort of common sense, probably Jason, grabbed a broom and tried swatting the rat out of the kitchen. All that did was get the rat to jump up on the counter. Ana tried swatting the rat away with her hand but all that did was spill some oil near the flame of the stove causing a bigger fire since she took the pan off a few minutes ago.
With a rat somewhere loose in the kitchen and someone pouring wine on the fire hoping to put it out but all it did was make things worse. People were screaming. One guy was praying that nothing bad happens , Aiden just said. “If this place burns down I would say it was nice knowing you guys but I'd be lying. See you all in hell.”
Meanwhile in the front of the house two guests saw the commotion going on in the back; one was just recording it while the other was filming it live on tiktok. Rody excused himself from the table he was at to see what the hell was going on in the kitchen. Rody would have asked what was happening until he saw the rat so he grabbed a small piece of cheese from the counter and cup then ripped an unused paper from his guest check . Slowly he walked closer to the rat, kneeling once he was close enough to put the paper down placing the cheese on top of the paper. Once the rat got close enough Rody slammed the cup down trapping the rat. Making sure the rat won’t escape, Rody picked up the rat and started walking towards the door.
Before he could even take a step outside Vincent walked out of his looking at the scene right before him. No one moved not saying anything so as to not piss off Vincent even more than he probably was. To say he was pissed was an understatement and if could kill everyone in that room would be dead. “I leave you all alone for ten minutes and this shit happens. Rody take that fucking rat out of my kitchen.” Rody just nodded, walking out of the kitchen and staying out for a bit longer so Vincent doesn’t yell at him. Vincent turned to Aiden since his station was right next to the one on fire. “I want you two put this out and for fucks sake Jason put the broom down.” Aiden got some water to put out the fire while Ana turned off the stove. Aiden dumped the water just to be sure.
Now that for the most part things were slightly better Vincent calmly asked what happened after Rody came back inside. Logically since Rody was the only person Vincent didn’t dislike the least out of everyone here he tried to calm Vincent down. “Nothing actually bad happened so let’s just calm down a bit Vince. Okay let’s just hear them out.” Because favoritism and they’ve been seeing each other though nothing official yet. Vincent takes a deep breath in before calling asking again on what happened. Once it was revealed that Andre and escalated due to Aiden they were both heavily reprimanded for the next month.
Now for those two people who were filming the whole ordeal it went viral to say the least. Now the twitter for Vince and the bistro’s were flooded with questions and clips for the next couple of weeks. Hell Rody even showed Vince some memes people made about it while Vince was cooking for the two of them dinner. “Don’t remind me about it, Amour.” Vince softly smiled at Rody giving him a short but sweet kiss. Vince spoke to Rody a lot more calmly and gently compared to how he yelled in the video. “You love me.” Rody teased before giving him a peck on the check. From there Rody put his phone down watching Vince cook for a while, a smile never leaving his face as he just watched Vince in the most adoring way.
