Work Text:
It was early in the morning, Logan had woken up from his unintentional nap. He looked around his room, looking to his desk and seeing the once scattered about papers, neatly stacked on his desk. Sitting on the spinny chair was none other than Morality himself, wearing his cat hoodie, khaki shorts, and bunny slippers. The slightly smaller side stared at the logical side, giving him a disappointed glare.
“Really Logan? Again?” Patton said, seemingly upset with the taller side. “You promised you’d stop working so late into the night!”
Patton got up, walking over to the bedside. Logan sat up before promptly getting moved back into a laying position by Patton.
“Stay.” Patton demanded, placing Logan’s glasses on the logical side. Logan blinked a bit as his vision adjusted. “I was supposed to make breakfast about 2 hours ago, but I entrusted Janus with that job.”
Logan stared at the moral side, overall confused before it hit him. Logan was going to receive a lecture about how he shouldn’t be sacrificing his health for the sake of meeting deadlines. The logical was aware of this, as he had this lecture many times in the past before, yet he still felt the need to work to meet the deadlines.
“Logan, are you even listening to me right now?” Patton had asked after noticing how Logan began to space out. “Huh?” the logical side had realized he, indeed, was not listening to the moral side.
“Logan, this is the sixth time you space out on me trying to tell you something important!” the moral side said, attempting to keep his voice low so as to not wake or disturb the other sides.
“I am sorry Patton, I wasn’t aware I was…‘spacing out’” Logan said as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. He let out a long sigh as he looked up at Patton. “I really am sorry Patton. I did not mean to not pay attention to you.”
Patton let out a sigh and said, “You worry me Logan..”
Logan watched as the other side walked towards the door. He felt..bad? He wasn’t one to fully identify his emotions or feelings, but he was aware that he messed up. He stopped Patton in his tracks, having stood up and blocked the door.
The logical side looked down a bit at the moral side. “Patton, wait. Please do not just leave like that.” Logan pleaded, staring the other down.
Patton stared at the logical side, he was pleading and he didn’t ever do that. This had touched the moral side and so he returned to the others, sitting beside him as he held his hand.
“Logan, do you like me?” Patton asked, which got the logical side red in the face.
Logan stared at Patton who waited patiently with the calmest look on his face. He took a deep breath before he replied with, “How did you know Patton?”
Patton smiled, it was a nice warm smile, he said, “Well, for starters, you treat me differently than the others. You try your best to keep your temper with me, you’re more patient with me, I see how you hide a smile at my jokes even though you pretend to hate them. Not to mention, your overall demeanor changes around me. And-”
“Enough enough, I understand.” Logan said playfully upset, he smiled and said “That was a logical insight, Patton. I didn’t know you could be insightful like that.”
Patton giggled and said “Well it’s something I picked up from a smart and cool side.” He held Logan’s hand and snuggled up to him.
“So what does this mean for us?” Logan said rather curiously to the moral side. Patton smiled even more and he leaned in close to the logical side before placing a quick peck on his lips.
“Logan, will you be my boyfriend?” Patton asked eagerly.
Logan nodded his head as he said “Yes!!” with the biggest smile on his face.
Patton held on to Logan, smiling widely as he snuggled up to his now boyfriend, Logan.
“Patton, how long have you known?” Logan had asked curiously, breaking their moment of silence,
Patton gave Logan a cheeky smile and said “Since I pointed out our playful teasing back and forths.” He had the cheekiest smile on his face as he saw Logan’s reaction.
“But..but that was SO long ago!!” Logan said he was just a blushing mess.
“I know.” Patton said snuggling up to Logan, closing his eyes.
