It was a typical Sunday morning for this utopian society. The very infrastructure and atmosphere found in Seoul are strategically designed using advanced technology which screamed major futuristic vibes. Humans are programmed to remain happy and not complain about their perfect lives. Artificial Intelligence is programmed to tend to humanity's needs the zeptosecond humans ask for their assistance. Corporate businesses operate as usual, rapidly creating new advanced technology in which humans are able to heavily rely on in their daily lives without discomfort.
For more context, two millenniums ago (2017), the World Government from past generations worked diligently and creatively in designing what they would like to call as the perfect utopia for future generations to come. To achieve this indispensable task, every nation's leaders signed a truce and placed aside their differences as they equally desired to achieve the idea of a perfect and ideal world. The world leaders then immediately began this top secret mission alongside the best astrophysicists from all over the world to transform from a tier 0.72 civilization located on the Kardashev Scale to a tier 1 civilization. For the human race to achieve this type of civilization, the designated persons in the system must find a way to harness all of Earth's energy which would be the first step of humanity becoming gods of their own planet. Having control over the Earth's natural resources means that humans could also have complete control over the natural forces, like earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and so much more.
After they had completed this mission, they were satisfied, but they weren't satisfied enough. Utopia cannot be achieved without the citizen's cooperation. When Humanity's greatest creation called Artificial Intelligence was created and becoming quite popular with humans, the world leaders decided to use this advanced technology in order to manipulate humans into thinking that AI is the future that will help safeguard the human race (or destroy it... but the public doesn't have to know that part anyways). Of course, the government received both scrutiny and praise from the public. To the world leaders, they collectively thought that since they are the ones in power they don't always have to listen to the citizens' complaints nor praise. Utopia will be achieved with the help of their advanced species, whether they like it or not. And like always, the citizens will thank them for coming up with this oh so innovative idea to create the perfect world like they always wanted. An ideal world where they would finally live without fear and always experience only happiness and joy for the rest of their pathetic little lives.
After all, these corrupt world leaders must keep up with the facade of being the citizens' real life superheroes. It's quite ironic in their case when they all know that the very creation of Artificial Intelligence could either save humanity or destroy all of humanity.
After one thousand years past and the old world leaders were all long dead and goneย (a/n: like we'll all be way before the year 4000 ๐โ ๏ธ), the new and current leaders will carry on the torch of achieving a perfect utopian society with even more advanced technology that's bigger and better than before. What do both the present and past leaders have in common? They're both immoral alike. As they say, birds of a feather flock together. The new leaders realised that they didn't want to just keep harnessing disposable energy from the earth alone, they needed more power over something else and that's when they decided to go after the star that she's orbiting, which is the sun. They instructed AI to create a Dyson sphere which could be used to transform the star's light into energy and then automatically transfer this energy back to earth. The creation of this device is known to be one of the most advanced megastructures known to man making the technology almost feeling quite alien to them. With this new and enhanced technological development, the earth achieved the ranking of being a tier 2 civilization, as displayed on the kardashev scale. Having control of both the earth and its star, tier 2 humans have the ability and capability to be at the same level of an alien civilization or even surpass them, but we all know that this futuristic society still has a very long way to go if they want to go as far as achieving immortality and being gods of both the universe and ultimately the multiverse.
You might be wondering, how does being a tier 2 civilization that gained power over the earth's and star's energy, achieve the concept of utopia that the leaders of every generation are so obsessed with?
Simple. Psychological manipulation of society in its entirety. The world leaders used this craft and successfully managed to program the entire human race; brainwashing humans into believing that this utopia will guarantee their safety and happiness, that the utopian laws and justice system actually care for its members' well being even more than the old leaders could ever would and most importantly, why wait to experience a paradise in the afterlife when humans could experience a paradise on earth that's more beautiful, authentic and real than the heaven the believers imagined in their heads.
Humanity, in the end, was sold by the very idea and the world leaders kept their end of the bargain and gave the humans exactly what they desired. A utopia that feels and smells like heaven where members gained free access to food, water, shelter, healthcare, job opportunities and even education. To a certain degree, utopians understood as to why they needed to pay using cryptocurrency to acquire anything else in the world they desire... they didn't want the world leaders to think of them as ungrateful and greedy you know.
A perfect utopian society.

So guys this is just the introduction of the entire au just to prepare y'all for what's to come. This is an au that will really overwhelm you with information that you've probably never learned at school (i'm talking about the definitions only lol). My head hurts just by writing this cause my brain is so overloaded with information based off of my research lmaooo. Wasn't anything too exciting imo but i'm for sure hyped for this story omggg. Marksung is such an underrated ship, I hope nctzens can acknowledge that plsss. I really, really, really wanted to add more to this chapter but i just had to cut it short... sigh.
