Work Text:
Their dragons have become fond of each other, and it felt like a sign for Jace and Baela that their love was meant to be.
Vermax and Moondancer didn’t always like each other, of course. They were dragons, after all, and dragons were notoriously prickly about newcomers, even when it came to their own kind.
But as of late, the had both begun to begrudgingly tolerate each other’s presence as they slowly grew closer, almost as close as Jace and Baela had become over the years.
Now, their dragons danced together amongst the stars and as Jace and Baela watched Vermax and Moondancer soar above the shoreline, they could feel the watchful eyes of Daemon and Rhaenyra from afar.
“They mean to betroth us, I’m sure of it,” Baela whispered in his ear.
Jace smiled knowingly, “Of course they do.”
He pecked her gently on the lips, and she returned it with vigor. They continued to kiss as their dragons roared in the distance.
