Sephiroth had everything he’d ever wanted. A sweet, perfect boyfriend, friends who cared about him, no longer being alone and isolated from everyone else. Yet, there was always something missing, like there was a part of himself that was missing.
He’d pushed that feeling down for years, but when Rufus comes back from his five year long trip abroad, his whole world caves in and he’s forced to come to terms with all the twisted, unfavorable thoughts he’d tried to stifled.

”Well done. You’re an excellent liar when the situation calls for it,” Rufus whispered, leaning into Sephiroth so that he’d be the only one who heard him.
Sephiroth didn’t bother hiding the way he bristled though. The people down there wouldn’t be able to tell.

A chuckle, cold, minty breath ghosting over the side of his face. “Yes, but it’s expected of me. You on the other hand… well, come to think of it, perhaps it’s expected of you too. How would you keep your boyfriend so thoroughly in the dark about your real job otherwise?”
