When they received news about the death of the usurper's son, Jace and Baela reacted in a similar way.
There was a moment of shared disbelief where they stared at each other, trying to comprehend what they were hearing before it was replaced by a simultaneous look of satisfaction.
"Father did it, after all," Jace said, feeling almost breathless. "He avenged Lucerys."
Baela gave him a look that said, 'And you doubted me?' He quickly shook his head and permitted himself to feel sated after countless days of bitterness and misery.
"Of course not. I only hadn't expected it to happen so... soon," Jace admitted.
"Well, it didn't happen exactly as planned," she revealed somewhat reluctantly. "But the results are still the same. Lucerys has been avenged, just as my father promised."
"Your sister will be pleased, no doubt," Jace said, wrapping his arm around her.
Baela leaned into his embrace with a pleased smile, "Yes, yes she will."
