   Summary

   Carlin Medoe was fourteen years old when The End of the World upended everything he once knew. Now, his main priority is to keep his little sister Lola breathing despite the sudden swan dive humanity has undergone. As the days wear on, Carlin realizes three things:

   1) He isn’t living, not really.
   2) He’s afraid of people’s capacity for violence yet knows that if they don’t find friendly faces soon, he may reach a breaking point.
   3) He would love to eat something other than green beans.

   Carlin’s wish for people is soon answered by a motley group of characters—but can they put their trust in two strangers? Can Carlin put his trust in them? He doesn’t know.

   But he’s about to.
