Bluey was telling her kids about the time her and bingo played dad baby with their dad.
Bluey: and then your grandfather once more said it wasn’t so hard.
mackenzie jr: really? Cause it doesn’t sound like it was to me. lucky for me, i’m a boy.
mackenzie: well i bet i could last way longer with a pretend pregnancy than bandit. I’m ultra strong!
Bluey: well then Border boy i got a papoose right here. Care to put your money where your mouth is?
Sky: oh oh i wanna be the baby!
mackenzie: oh boy...
Sky vo: this episode of bluey is called dad baby 2.
Bluey helps put the papoose on her hubby.
Bluey: annnnnd done! okay sky, you can go in now.
sky goes into the papoose. in the meantime indigo was walking in the room.
indigo: okay mum. i'm done cleaning up the green apple juice. um... what's going on?
mj (mackenzie jr): oh we're gonna play dad baby. it's this game mum and aunt bingo played with granddad when they were kids. dad's gonna pretend to be pregnant.
Sky: and i'm the baby!
indigo broke out in a cold sweat upon hearing that.
Sky: hey indi? you ok?
Bluey: oh boy.
mj: and here we go.
mackenzie: sky maybe we should play something else.
Sky: you just don't wanna eat your words.
mackenzie: well... indigo seems to be upset...
Sky: but i wanna play dad baby.
indigo: i mean... if sky wants to play dad baby then... i'm fine... i will be dad's humble servant until the games done.
mackenzie: well i like the sound of that.
later mackenzie was lying down on the couch.
indigo: there you go dad. comfy?
mackenzie: oh yeah, i'm good. i can't believe bandit didn't think of this when he was playing dad baby.
mj: indi, you do know that pregnant women need to move around right?
indigo: mj sky's gonna be in the papoose for at best a day, not 9 months.
sky: this would be more fun if daddy was moving around.
indigo: honestly we should be lucky dad's not for real life pregnant, or he would be peeing a lot more.
mj: what?! why is that the 1 thing you remember from mum's pregnancy with sky!?
sky: wait what?
indigo: oh yeah apparently when your for real life pregnant, you pee a lot more.
mj: yeah mum had to pee like every hour or so. we were lucky if we could get in the bathroom.
sky: eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww.
indigo: okay okay let's stop grossing out sky. do you need anything dad.
mackenzie: well i would love to have those tim tims in the fridge.
indigo: ok stay right there.
indigo went to the kitchen.
sky: hey daddy how are we gonna go to the bathroom while playing this game?
mackenzie: well hopefully the game would be over before then.
as the border collie started to relax he realized something.
mackenzie: my taxes! i forgot to do my taxes.
mackenzie got up and ran to the office room. just as he did indigo came back with the tim tims.
indigo: okay dad i got the... um mj where's dad?
mj: he needed to do taxes.
indigo: and you didn't try to stop him?
mj: look taxes are important.
indigo: so is our sister's life!
meanwhile in mackenzie's office.
mackenzie: geez you're heavy sky.
sky: did you just called me fat?
mackenzie: well no but... look daddy really needs to do this so mummy and i don't go to jail. after i'm done we can go back to the couch okay?
sky: okay...
with that mackenzie got started on his taxes.
after sometime of the most boring time of her youth she wanted to ask her dad something.
sky: hey dad?
mackenzie: yeah kiddo.
sky: why is indigo always so worried about me all the time?
mackenzie: oh... well that something we should talk about later...
sky: how later?
mackenzie: when you're 16.
sky: what!? why!?
mackenzie: well as much as i want to just say he loves you very much... and he does... but that's not the whole story and it's not for the faint of heart. look we will tell you one day but...
a knock on the door.
sky: guess that's big bro now.
mackenzie: i better answer him.
he walks over to open the door.
indigo: i can't believe you!
mackenzie: indi, i really need to finish these taxes and i'm all most done.
indigo: i just wanna make sure you don't fall over and crush sky dad.
mackenzie: that's not gonna happen, you worry too much.
indigo: i'm not saying you would do it on purpose.
mackenzie: well i'll be careful. she's my kid after all.
indigo: i know you will... but... i can't help it.
mackenzie: yeah i know kiddo. oh you brought the tim tims.
indigo: yeah i would've gotten here faster if i wasn't carrying them. or if you stayed on the couch.
mackenzie: yeah don't worry, i'll go back as soon as the taxes are done.
mackenzie tries to eat one but his little girl took it out of his hand and put it in her mouth.
mackenzie: hey!
mackenzie tries and sky just takes it and eats again. this happens a few more times.
indigo: sky let dad have one, also remember what i said about you getting fat?
sky: hey!
kenzie finally got to eat one.
mackenzie: mmm so good. okay kids, i gotta go finish those taxes an-
bluey: hold on there mister you need to get some fresh air, Pregnant people need exercise too.
mackenzie: but ba-
bluey: the taxes will still be there after you get some fresh air, now get outside.
bluey starts pushing her hubby to the back.
mackenzie: no! wait! i was almost done!!! bluuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
later outside...
mackenzie: okay kenzie, you can do this you just need 20 mins out here and you can get back to the taxes.
the father started to walk around in the yard, indi beside him. mj came out to see the 3.
mj: hey guys! how's the little one?!
indigo: sky's doing great!
sky: yeah i'm fine! now that daddy's moving about now.
mackenzie: yeah, this is way too easy, i don't know why your granddad had so much trouble. or your nana or your mum.
mj: oh and also mum wants to know if the baby's kicking yet.
mackenzie: oh boy.
sky then starts kicking her dad's guts.
indigo: you kinda did this to yourself dad.
just then bluey came out.
bluey: oh yeah, you never forget that 1st kick.
as sky was kicking her dad's butt, kenzie was starting to lose his balance before he fell over, but bluey caught him in time.
mackenzie: thanks babe.
bluey: anytime love. oh deer.
bluey then saw that indigo was breathing heavily, likely because that fall that almost happened gave him a scare.
bluey: indigo i think you should go lie down on your bed for a bit.
indi snapped out of his panic attack.
indigo: what? but mum i'm fine i-
bluey: no buts young man, your well being is important too.
mackenzie: you should listen to your mother mate.
mj: yeah i can look after dad and sky while you rest.
indigo: okay guys. you'll get me when the baby comes right?
bluey: yes yes now go.
the blue pup started to walk to his room.
mackenzie: okay blue, i've been out for a bit can i now go back inside and finish those taxes?
bluey: i think you should stay outside for a little bit more.
mackenzie: fine just let me sit for a bit.
bluey: fair enough.
the blue heeler went inside well her hubby sat down on the bench. mj joining him.
sky: hey guys? is indi gonna be alright?
mackenzie: oh of course he will kiddo, he's just worried about you is all.
mj: hey this is nothing new little sis.
sky: but now i'm worried about him! i've never seen him get this bad before. just why is he always worried i'm gonna die?
no one said a thing for a bit.
mj: it's because you were an early baby.
mackenzie: mackenzie border heeler jr. now is not the time for this.
mj: well i'm tired of waiting for the best time for it and so is indigo by the look of things.
sky: what's an early baby?
mackenzie: well it's what happens when a baby comes early, and that's not a good thing.
sky: why's that?
mackenzie: cause a baby needs sometime to develop in the mommy's tummy before they can come out... and sometimes... something happens that makes the birth happen early. so the little one needs to be hooked up to a machine so they can live pass an hour or so.
sky: did i need the machine?
mackenzie: yeah... and even then it was a crapshoot whether or not you would live to see... any birthdays really...
mj: yeah... and we were all really upset... especially mum, indigo, and nana chilli.
sky: oh... i see...
mj: but since we are talking to a living and breathing sky heeler and not your tombstone things all worked out in the end.
sky: but it affected indigo really badly.
mj: yeah, he was looking forward to being a big brother ever since mum told us you were coming... and seeing you in such a bad state it broke his heart... especially since he really wanted to help you get better but there was nothing he could do. but he was very happy when you came home alright. we all were. and you're now a far cry from the you then.
sky: were you worried about me?
mj: yeah but i had a good feeling that you would okay. cause i guessed since you're mum's kid you would be tough like her. and i was right. you were and still are a fighter little sis.
sky: you know what... i think i don't wanna play dad baby anymore.
mackenzie: oh thank goodness, kinda need to use the bathroom soon.
mj: now hold on.
sky: no if this game is making indi upset then i'm done.
the little blue pup tries to get out of the papoose while her dad tries get it off himself. however...
sky: okay so funny story ha ha... i'm stuck.
mj and mackenzie: ah biscuits.
later kenzie is lying in the swimming pool.
mj: you know sky this is what we've been talking about with your eating habits.
sky: now is not the time mj!
mackenzie: just help us get out of this mess.
mj: sorry guys i'm not a doctor.
mackenzie: well then who's gonna be the doctor?
just then the 3 heard the voice of an old friend of bluey's.
mj walks over to the fence to talk to her.
mj: morning ms Chow.
judo: morning mj. how are you.
mj: i'm good but we could use your help with something.
judo: well i don't see the harm in it.
so when judo saw mackenzie.
judo: i didn't think this was the something!
mackenzie: just please help me judo.
mj: yeah this was the only thing i could think of.
sky: it is getting hot in here.
judo: fine. i think i know how my mum felt back in the day. you know this is why she thought your granddad was a jackass.
mackenzie: wait wendy thought bandit was a jackass?
judo: let me just take a look at you.
mackenzie: wait mj go get your brother.
mj: right.
mj runs into the house.
judo: so why does indigo need to be here.
mackenzie: because he and i are a lot alike.
judo: okay i'll take a look now. wow that papoose is on you 2 good. i think i'll have to cut sky out.
she takes out a pocket knife.
mackenzie: whoa!
judo: calm down border boy i'll be careful not to hurt sky or you.
mackenzie: well good but what if me and blue wants to have at least one more kid?
sky: i have mixed feelings about that.
judo: mac, you and bluey already have 3 kids. that's enough.
mackenzie: fine, just get me out of this.
mj and indigo came back outside.
indigo: so i'm gone for 5 mins and this happens.
mackenzie: oh ha ha. look can you come here and take my hand?
indigo did just that.
indigo: geez dad, you're break my hand if you don't loosen up.
mackenzie: sorry just being committed to the bit.
judo was cutting open the papoose the best she can without hurting mackenzie and his kid.
judo: okay that's as good as it's gonna get, mj get behind me i'm gonna pull your sister out and i'm gonna need your help.
mj: got it.
mj gets behind the chow chow and put his hands on her sides. judo grabs sky legs.
judo: okay sky we're about pull you out. 1 2 3!
and with that she and mj started to pull the blue pup out. they were having some trouble getting her out of the papoose even with all their strength. indigo was so stressed he started to crash his dad's hand. judo and mj pulled, and pulled, and pulled, and pulled, and pulled. until the little blue pup finally came out.
mackenzie: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
sky: hi fresh air i missed you so much.
everyone: hooray!
mackenzie: hoooooooooooraaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.
sometime later kenzie was holding his little girl.
bluey: she looks lovely babe!
mackenzie: see i don't know why your dad had so much trouble.
mj: see little bro, sky played dad baby and she's fine.
indigo: yeah yeah, i worry too much. i'm just happy she's okay. now all that dad needs to name the baby.
mackenzie: alright then. let's have a look at you little one.
mackenzie took a good long look a sky trying to think of a name.
mackenzie: how about, bluey?
bluey: aww, kenzie.
sky: me likey.
indigo: i think it's a lovely name.
mj: same here.
mackenzie: okay games over i need a shower.
the dad gave sky to indi.
indigo: how come?
mackenzie: cause after judo pulled sky out, i peed in the pool.
indigo and sky: eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww!!!
