Chapter Text
"Here kid, this'll make you feel better."
Pigsy handing MK a hot plate of dumplings. MK sniffed, taking the plate. "Thanks, Dadsy." A small smile appeared on her lips before taking a bite.
Poor MK, She looked like hot garbage.
Her hair was a mess, didn't even bother putting on her bandana so her hair was looking like a bird's nest. Eyes were a bit red and puffy. Her nose was a tint of pink and tear streaks were visible.
Tang sits down next to her and rubs her back in a comforting way. "Cheer up MK, everything will be okay."
Then, Mei walks in through the door humming a tune, sits on a stool. "Hey MK, what's the sitch?" The brunette just shrugged and continued eating her dumplings.
"Uh, Mei now isn't really the best time, right now." Tang spoke.
"Aw what's wrong? Tired from another fun time with ol' Red Boy, huh?" Mei teased, nudging her best friend. After five seconds of silence MK started bawling, globs of tears streaming down her eyes.
"Mei!" Pigsy and Tang glared at the dragon girl, who had her hands up in defense and look of confusion on her face.
"What? What did I say?" She questioned.
Tang sighs and pulls the weeping girl into a hug. "Look, bottom line is her and Red Son sorta of...broke up."
"Say WHAT!?" Mei exclaimed in shock, she goes over to MK's side, also comforting her. "What happened?"
"H-He thought I-I...He thought I was running around behind his back!" She answered while hiccuped through her tears. Mei gasped in disbelief. Red Son actually believed that MK, of all people was cheating on him!?
The dragon heiress looked at Tang who just nodded meaning she's telling the truth.
"B-But you would never do that. Just what the heck happened?"
MK sniffed and wipes away her tears. "Well, It happened just a couple of days ago, I had just finished my deliveries...”
~Flashback~
The sign of the noodle shop lit up and inside, Pigsy rang the bell as he called out for MK. "Order up! Kid!"
"On it Boss!" MK responded as she placed the bag of noodles in the cooler as she got her phone out to get towards the place of the person who ordered it. MK then puts on her headphones and drives around in the tuk-tuk. When she arrived, the person of the home opened the door as the brunette greeted them sweetly. "Pigsy's Noodles!"
"Aww," Cooed a middle aged woman, her youngest daughter standing next to her. "Thank you dearest~"
MK nodded, "Have a nice day madam!"
Soon enough, every order had been delivered, and she was about to cross the bridge that lead back to the shop, when a delicious aroma caught her attention.
"Mmm~ break time!~" MK smiled and parks the Tuk-Tuk in front of a bakery. The neon lights reading "Sweet Ming's Bakery"
"What!? I thought I told you to stay away from that place. That woman ain't nothing but trouble!" Pigsy yelled, interrupting her story. "Always acting like she's a better chef then me.."
"Pigsy stop interrupting!" Tang shouted at the chef.
"Sorry, please continue..."
The door was heard opening and then closing. The owner smirked as she looked to see her most frequent customer. "Why, if it isn't everyone's favorite heroine. Hello there MK." The lady greeted.
The owner is a middle aged woman with smooth tanned skin, dark ebony hair that's held together with two needle pins, dark blue eyes, wearing a red qipao dress with white sparkle designs, yellow buttons, black leggings and black heels.
"Good morning, Miss Ming!" MK greeted. "You’re looking lovely and dandy as usual!" She smiled.
"My, aren't you a little charmer, Has that overstuffed swine finally let you off today?" Ming chucked, leaning on the wooden counter.
MK chuckled nervously. Okay, let's say her and Pigsy don't really get along so well, then being both chefs and all.
"Oh I was just finishing my deliveries and stopped by to see my favorite chef of all time!! Don't tell Pigsy I said that...." She muttered the last part. "Anyway, I was kinda hoping for my favorite dessert today."
"Of course sweetie, anything for my favorite customer." Ming smiled sweetly before clearing her throat. "CHEN! I NEED PICKUP #3, STAT!!" She yelled, startling MK a bit.
"Coming Auntie!" A male's voice called out hurriedly, the back door of the bakery opens and out comes a young man carrying tons of boxes.
He has short black, shaggy hair, ivory skin, grey eyes, has beauty mark on the right side of his face, a cut on his left eyebrow. He seems to be MK's height. He's wearing a black shirt over a dark red jacket, dark blue pants and grey shoes with white soles.
"Look out, coming throu-Aaahhhh!!" He yelped as his foot slipped on a puddle, stumbling and falling over. MK couldn't help but wince at the sight.
Miss Ming sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "That's coming out of you're paycheck, boy! Morgan, I thought I told you to clean up in here..!" She went into the back of the kitchen, leaving the two alone.
"Hey, are you okay?" MK asked, helping him up, picking up the discard boxes, luckily the goods were still attached. Chen sighed and dusted himself off. "Yeah, yeah I'm okay, I'm-" He stopped mid sentence as he gazed upon MK, as if he recognized her.
"...Xiaotian?..."
"....Chen?..."
