Chapter Text
Most of the time I have spent in this small town has been in absolute boredom. When my mama and papa decided to move here my junior year of high school, I knew it was a terrible idea.
First of all, Mystic Falls, Virginia? Están locos o qué? There weren't any good Carnicerías around here, and minimal Mexican restaurants, if any. The only real restaurant type location double as a bar. So when I had the chance to run away for college, I ran.
Abuela took me in for most of college and helped me develop my more spiritual gifts. Mama had tried to keep me way from it, but honestly, it just set me back.
I was playing catch up with my cousins for a year. They were all very supportive, but it was frustrating to feel like I was late and weaker than them because of it.
Abuela would have tea with me often, and when she noticed, she sat me down. "Todo toma tempo mi hija. Vas a vere, un dia vas acere la mas fuerte." Her eyes twinkled with some type of knowing in them that no one in my family can deny, so I definitely believed her. As time went on, I did become one of the strongest in our family.
Either way, the only reason I am back here is to have my mother give me the family heirloom she stole from Tia Lucrezia. The problem. She went on a trip to New York wearing the stolen necklace. Evidence on él face. I swear she is doing too much. I got in contact with my dad, and he let me know they would be back in a few days.
I decided to crash at their home while I waited, but watching TV and messing up the order in my mom's shoe collection gets old after a while.
I put on a pretty light blue dress and sandals. After grabbing my purse and keys, I drove to the grill.
Maybe I can work on my spiritual sight while at it. Ghosts tend to follow a lot of the locals. Most of the time, it was family members or friends.
Every so often, I would be bump into a serial killer or vampire. Most of the time, I could send human souls to transcend and move on easily. Others, I had to curse the vampire or killer before they let go. Justice served, I guess. Though I only went through the trouble if the vampire's aura was especially nasty and vicious.
Either way, I am bored and need a distraction.
