“I feel like you swear a lot more than most twelve year olds should,” he says.
“Well, I feel like you’re much more angsty than your average teenager.”
A pause. And then another small laugh, “You got me there.”

“I’m stuck in a time loop,” Bones says, cutting Jim off. He opens the cupboard near Jim’s table and makes a face at its lack of contents. “And before you ask, yes, you’ve been aware of this the past few loops. No, I haven’t figured out how to break it yet.” Bones pauses and opens another door in Jim’s cupboard and scowls. “What did you do with all your liquor?”
Jim blinks, his brain trying to process everything Bones just told him.
OR
Bones is stuck in a time loop. Jim isn't. He relearns this everyday.
