In a hospital in Paris

I heard a steady heart beat
MY heart beat, I remember someone once told me
“When your falling all you can hear is your heart beat it’s been beating since the moment you were born and you never paid it any mind
Now the last thought that pops in your head right before you hit the ground “I should have listened to it when I still had the chance”
I woke up in a hospital with a VR headset on my head, as I slowly took it off I saw Alec, my baby brother!
With dark hair and blue eyes and white skin
I know your asking your self “how does she have a brother didn’t her parents die in some plague?” They did, he’s my adoptive younger brother, he went to live with me, my adoptive father visits every once a while, but he’s abused me verbally before, I don’t like him that much I barely tolerate him anymore.
As I was saying

She finally woke up!! As she took off her headset of I saw her beautiful face I said “Hii! How are you doing?”
She responded “Jax I made it”
“I’m Alec, who’s Jax?” I said confused
“I’ve been in the amazing digital circus for a week!!” She told me
“No you’ve been in the HOSPITAL for a week!!” I said
“Wha-“ she stammered and stuttered “it’s real!!” She said
“WHATS REAL?!?!” I asked
“The- the amazing digital circus!!!!” She told me “ITS REAL!!!” She affirmed
“Umm sis what the heck?!? I think you’ve been hallucinating” I told her
“NO!” She screamed “No one is telling me what to do or say anymore!!!! THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS IS REAL AND I WILL PROVE IT!!!!” She said as she got up and left
In her apartment
It looked like a normal apartment 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen and living room
In her room it was all white with a bed to the left, a desk next to her bed with a chair, and she had a huge mirror to the right of her room infront of her bed, she created another clue board next to her mirror, but even better than the old one she kept looking at it and thinking

What am I missing? There’s something hidden in plain sight!! And I have no idea what it is!!! Gosh someone help!!!
I started singing
“Please
I've been on my knees
Change the prophecy
Don't want money
Just someone who wants my company
Let it once be me
Who do I have to speak to
About if they can redo

As I moved I looked in my mirror, I was so busy trying to find out if the digital was real and how to leave that I completely forgot how I looked.
I had these beautiful brown eyes, this dark brown curly hair, I also had this white skin
I was beautiful, wow! I missed my sense of self!!

As I arrived to the apartment, I yelled “IM HOME!!” I hoped she had heard me, as I went in her room I saw her peacefully sleeping, she had left the music on and castles crumbling was starting to play as I went in, I felt horror as I saw her clue board, ‘she’s sick’ I thought ‘she’s insane’ I thought, no it’s more than that she’s obsessed with this so called ‘digital circus’ I felt total fear so I called my father and I told him and sent him pictures about this!
He told me that if I noticed more strange behavior I’d tell him, that was our agreement!
I’d hope that tomorrow would be a better day
