Summary
“Alhaitham doesn’t have red eyes.”
For a moment he hoped that the person in front of him would prove him wrong, that there was an explanation for it. That there was something that he could say that would explain everything, but as he watched the impostor’s expression slowly shift into one that he knew Alhaitham would never make, Kaveh knew with dreadful certainty that it wasn’t the case.
“He doesn’t?” The man said, his voice that once was an exact match to Alhaitham’s was slightly distorted, edging on something otherworldly, “Fuck!”

Broke from building the Palace of Alcazarzaray, Kaveh lands himself a job working as the doorman for an apartment complex near the Akademiya as an in-between to pay back his debts. Consequentially becoming infatuated with a resident of the building Alhaitham, he swore not to act on it but everything changed once the Akademiya started employing new suspicious safety regulations. Finally seeing Alhaitham after he went missing for a few days, he finds that the man he is met with looks entirely like him in documents and appearance if it only weren't for his crimson red eyes.
