Chapter Text
Mal was so excited to go spend time with her boyfriend, Ben. They hadn’t gotten any quality time lately due to things he said he’d been busy with.

Once she arrived at his dorm, she knocked three times. When she got no response, she used the spare key he had given her to unlock the door.
What she saw behind it was.. let’s just say unsettling.
Ben was in bed, naked, with Chad Charming.
It wasn’t that Mal was homophobic, but seeing YOUR boyfriend with another person is not the best sight to behold.
”Mal, wait!” Ben yelled after she ran out of the door with tears streaming down her face.
He quickly put his clothes on before telling Chad he’d be right back.
He sprinted after Mal, yet couldn’t quite catch up. Damn was she fast.
The second she made it to her and Evie’s shared dorm, she burst through the door and slammed it shut, making sure to lock it behind her so Ben couldn’t get in.
Evie perked up the moment she heard the door slam.
”Mal?” She called out, quickly standing from her spot on her bed and running over to Mal.
She carefully embraced the shorter girl, holding her tight in her arms and whispering sweet nothings to her so as to calm her down.
After Mal could breathe and speak properly, Evie decided to get to the bottom of what made Mal upset.
She had rarely seen Mal cry, and when she did, it was usually over something very bad.
”Hey, M. What’s the matter sweetie?” She questioned cautiously.
Mal opened her mouth to speak.
”He.. he cheated on me, Evie! He fucking cheated on me!” She spoke in between sobs.
Evie’s eyes widened in shock and anger.
“HE WHAT?!” She practically screamed. Mal wouldn’t be surprised if everyone in Auradon hear her.
”You heard me..” Mal said, frowning. She nuzzled her face into Evie’s chest and layed there while Evie rubbed circles on her back.
”Oh, Mal.. he clearly doesn’t deserve you. Do you know who it was?” Evie asked.
”It was Chad.” Mal replied.
Evie was mad, but not as angry as she was before. She understood what it was like trying to hide your sexuality.
“Look at me, honey. He doesn’t deserve you. You deserve someone way better than that, someone who will treat you right.” Evie started, mainly trying to hint to Mal something that she would never admit out loud.
”Someone who cares about the real you, and not just the ‘reformed’ you. Someone who will hold you and tell you everything’s gonna be alright when times get tough. Someone who loves you truly.” She finished.
The thing is; Evie fit all of those characteristics. She was naming off things that she would do for Mal if she were to date her, which in her mind seemed nearly impossible.
She felt horrible for her the purple haired girl, and wanted nothing but to hold her forever and kiss her sweet face and enjoy doing all of the fun things they could ever dream of together. But that could never happen. Mal was straight as a line as far as Evie was aware, not that Mal had ever dated anyone before Ben came along.
Evie was just a hopeless lesbian mess, she would continue to pine for Mal from a distance that would keep their friendship safe.
