Summary
Tender is the flesh that bleeds. Steve took that with intent. Softened flesh bleeds more frequently. So he hardened his flesh, made himself stone, like the firm marble of the angelic statues he stood beside each day. All stone cold heavy expressions. All stood at the front of a church, his fathers wish and will, keeping him in place at the church. Steve was angry. Angry that this man, saw who Steve was becoming, happy, loving, gay. And he was quick to force him into the church, forceful shove of the cross down his throat.
