“Can I finally open my eyes now?”
“Patience Yields Focus, Babe! You out of all people should know that quote by heart!”
Keith might’ve rolled his eyes because of his boyfriends teasing, but he wasn’t able to hold back a smile, which made Lance grin from ear to ear.
After walking for another few minutes, the two boys finally came to a halt.
“Alright, you can open your eyes now.”
And when Keith did, he was met by one of the most beautiful sights he’s ever seen.
Don’t get him wrong, he’s been enjoying his time with Lance and his family (they were one of the most kind and amazing he’s ever met, no wonder Lance is like that, too), but seeing this huge and gorgeous beach and ocean in the colors of the sunset was mesmerizing.
“Oh my god!”
Lance let out a low laugh.
“Isn’t it just quiznaking amazing?!”
“I still don’t think that you’re using that word correctly, but, yeah, it’s beautiful!”
While Lance has always thought that about the beach, this evening, something else might be much more beautiful in his eyes.
After interviewing their fingers together, Lance started sprinting towards the ocean, with a surprised Keith behind him, and a huge grin on his own face.
“C’mon, man, let’s get into the water, I haven’t been to this ocean for way too long!”
They finally got into the water, which was a bit cold at first, but that didn’t bother Lance. Being at this special place with the boy he loves is more than enough to keep him warm.
For a few minutes, Lance just enjoyed the water, swimming and diving around with an amused Keith watching him.
“Enjoying yourself there, sharpshooter?”
“You know it, Samurai! It’s called having fun, yknow.”
“Very funny.”
After a few moments of comfortable silence, Lance suddenly felt his face getting splashed with water. It wasn’t too long after he realized what just happened.
“Dude, what the hell?!”
Keith didn’t even try to hold back his laughter.
“I’m sorry, but that was just too tempting.”
Lance grin appeared one more time. Even after getting together, challenging each other, in so many different and also positives ways, has never stopped. And that just one thing that Lance loved about Keith. Meeting that boy truly was one of the best and exciting things that ever happened to him.
“Oh, it’s on, Babe!”
After those words, the two boys started splashing each other with water, not able to stop laughing.
When their laughter died down, Lance couldn’t help but starte at the other boy. God, how could be one person this beautiful, it was totally unfair!
“What? Do I have something on my face?”
Keith must’ve noticed Lance staring because he now had this stupid attractive-looking smirk on his face that always appeared whenever Keith was able to read Lance.
“No, your face is still its usual beauty.”
Keiths cheeks suddenly turned red, and Lance couldn’t help but wink. He pulled Keith closer to him, Landes hands now being Keiths waist, Keith automatically pulling himself a bit closer to his boyfriend.
Truly one of the best days in Lances life.
