Alone And Just A Child

Summary:

Mikayla is a survivor, but she's also a child who misses her family.

Notes:

I headcanon that Wolf's real name is Mikayla because of her voice actress, Sydney Mikayla! 🤗🤗

Work Text:

Mikayla wandered through the ruins of Las Vistas, taking cautious steps in case a mute was nearby. She had been trained to survive in these conditions for as long as she could remember, but on days like these, she couldn't bear herself to be thankful. The weight of loneliness pressed heavily on her shoulders as she walked through the empty streets.

The memories of her pack, her family, haunted her every step. She could still hear their laughter, see their smiles, and feel the warmth of their presence. But they were all gone now. The wolf on her head was proof of that. Mikayla was strong, but that loss was a wound that refused to heal.

As the sun began to set, Mikayla found herself standing below a crumbling building. She climbed to the roof, seeking comfort from the view of the horizon. The sky was painted with shades of orange and pink, the opposite of the darkness she felt inside.

She sat there, clutching the flower bracelet that once was a symbol of friendship between her and Margot. Tears welled up in her eyes as she whispered to the wind, "Why did you do it, Margot?"

The night grew colder, and Mikayla wrapped her wolf-pelt around herself, trying to find some resemblance of comfort. She had always been a fighter, but now she felt like a lost child, yearning for the warmth of her old family. The emptiness inside her was a void that nothing could fill. She closed her eyes, letting the tears flow freely down her cheeks, as the last memories the only family she had ever known swirled in her mind.

Mikayla knew she had to keep moving, to survive all by herself in a world that did nothing but hurt her. In that moment, all she wanted was to be with her family again, to feel their love and warmth. The pain of their betrayal was a heavy burden, one that she would carry with her until the day that she died.

Mikayla stood up, wiping her tears away with the back of her hand. She took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself for the challenges ahead. She would continue to fight, to survive, but the ache in her heart would never truly fade.
