Chapter Text
Jinx knew she was alone, Vi was with an enforcer, Silco was doing something or another and now she was so small. She knew better than anyone that if anyone in the undercity wanted anything then she needed to do it herself. Standing from the bar, Jinx went to leave, a large smile on her face. “I'll see you later Chuck! I have some things to do!!” Jinx yelled before leaving the Last Drop and started to climb all over the undercity, making her way to the bridge.
The bridge was empty, giving Jinx as much room as she needed to get across and then find her way onto the buildings. Climbing on buildings and poles and balconies, Jinx smiled and took a deep breath and tried to find the house she needed. The house belonged to a counselor, one that was powerful, cunning, pretty, and whatever other word you could use to describe a woman. As soon as Jinx located it she started jumping from building to building, trying to draw as little attention to herself as she physically could.
She was a large leap from the balcony that Jinx needed to get to. It was a lot bigger than what she would normally be jumping in the undercity. No matter what. Jinx took a step back and leaped grabbing onto the ledge and climbed on top of it. Smiling at Piltover, she turned to the inside and went in. Because of how high up it was no one would ever want to, or need to, lock the doors so Jinx walked right in.
Looking around the room, Jinx smiled at the painting that sat next to the balcony. It was beautiful and made Jinx want to ask what inspired it. She wasn't a painter but Jinx could admire the beauty of others' paintings. Blowing some hair out of her face, Jinx threw her gun onto the bed and kept looking around at the room. It was large and beautiful and bigger than all of the last drop. Hell, it was probably bigger than 3 or 4 houses in the Lanes combined.
Taking a deep breath, Jinx laid on the bed and messed with her braids. She was extremely bored and didn't know what to do. When she was back at the Last Drop with Chuck it felt so much simpler. Break in, talk to the girl, make a deal with her, and then win. The plan did not entail waiting for the girl to come back. What even did she need to do that had Jinx waiting for what felt like hours?
After nearly falling asleep the door to the large room opened and Jinx perked right up. Looking at the door, there was a beautiful girl walking in, she waved bye to someone as she entered the room. tucking some of her hair behind her ear mel closed and locked the door not yet looking in her room. If anyone broke in, someone would have surely seen the person. Plus, she was a counselor, so who would want to break in and steal from her?
Turning around and taking a deep breath, Mel saw Jinx. The two stared at each other before Mel reached for the doorknob and Jinx rushed up to standing, her hands were empty showing she had no weapons in her hand. “Wait! Mel, I have a proposition!'' Jinx yelled, hoping she used that word correctly. Silco used it a lot so Jinx assumed it would help convince Mel.
“My gun is on the bed, you can take it to prove that I can't hurt you,” she explained, stepping away and showing where the gun was. Mel looked through Jinx and swiftly walked to the bed and picked up the gun and inspected it. “What do you propose? If it's anything bad I will not hesitate to get the enforcers. You are lucky I do not call them now.'' Mel looked at jinx.
Now Jinx wasn't an idiot; she knew that Mel was beautiful, dark hair and bright eyes that contrasted with her skin, the gold freckles and beautiful light clothing that made the air catch in her chest. There was a reason Jinx chose Mel out of everyone on the council.
“You had a… relationship with a fellow council member,” dancing around the subject jinx lowered her hands slightly, “and my sister is… with an enforcer.” That sounded better then saying she thought Vi and Caitlyn were fucking. “I propose, me and you pose as a romantic pair, an undercity girl and a council member yknow then we can fuck over jayce and i can piss off my sister!'' The excitement in her voice was clear, she wanted this to work, it needed to work, Jinx wanted to piss off Vi, she needed to. Vi was a liar, she needed to be angry just like what Jinx felt when she saw the two.
After a moment of processing what she said Jinx’s smile fell, she was supposed to speak properly, she needed to for this to work, Mel wouldn't take her seriously if she didn't. ‘She's going to say no powder,’ Mylo sneered. Clagger laughed in the back. Of course he would, who wouldn’t at her stupidity.
Looking away, Jinx pounded the heel of her hand into her head, muttering for them to shut up. Mel tutted and looked at Jinx. “I have two add ons to your proposition. You and me act like a romantic pairing, you take me to the undercity and I will give you the lavish life of topside, and I will always be in possession of a weapon, in case you ever decide to defect against me,” Mel explained and looked at Jinx, waiting for her to nod.
“That works, I truly am thankful for your kindness Mel,” Jinx smiled at her trying to seem more sophisticated than she was. ‘She's just saying yes to kill you,’ Mylo whispered in her ear. ‘Come on powder, who would want you, you're just a jinx,’ he laughed. The sounds of laughing echoed around the large room, filling Jinx’s ears and clouding her mind.
“Just shut up!'' Jinx yelled and pounded her fists against her head. “Mylo shut up!” she huffed her breaths, becoming labored. After a moment and the laughs left her head, Jinx realized she was crouching in Mel’s room pounding her fists in her head. Mel was kneeling in front of her with a concerned face. “Who is this Mylo?”
