Mom, I don’t want to go to kindergarten. I want to stay with you, please", the child said, clinging to her mother’s leg.
"Isabel Marie, I have to go to work and you know you can't come with me"
"Then I stay home while you’re at work, I don’t want to go to kindergarten"
"You can’t stay home alone, you’re five years old. Don’t you want to go to kindergarten? Okay then you’ll stay with Maya", Carina said.
"I like Maya", Isabel answered jumping through the kitchen.
Carina called his girlfriend who immediately agreed to spend the day with the child.
Maya never wanted kids, but when she met Carina and her daughter in the park one day, she realized she might be wrong.
"Maya is coming, I’m going to get dressed. Please behave with her"
"It's okay mom"
After ten minutes Maya arrived at Carina’s house. She opened the door and was greeted by an Isabel who jumped in her arms.
"MAYA", Isabel said.
"Hi baby"
"Today I’ll be with you all day"
"I know, baby, what do you want to do today?"
"Ciao amore mio", Carina said greeting her girlfriend with a kiss.
"Mom, today Maya is my girlfriend. You have to go to work", the little girl said scolding her mother and making Maya laugh.
"Sorry, be nice to her. If there are any problems, don’t hesitate to call me," Carina said, saying goodbye to her girls.
"I like your hair, do you braid my hair too?"
"Sure, first let’s get you dressed"
"Thank you"
Isabel ran to her room happy to spend the day with Maya.
The blonde instead goes to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the child.
"MAYA, I'm stuck", Isabel said entering in the kitchen with her head stuck in the tshirt.
"I help you"
"Thank you. Can you help with my shoes too?"
"Sure"
"Maya look, we have matching
"They're beautiful, sit on the couch so I tie your shoelaces"
"Thank you Maya. You know you’re my best friend?", Isabel said and Maya smiled.
"Okay, now how about we go out and have breakfast together?" Maya said.
"First you braid my hair like yours?"
"Sure, come to the bathroom."
The two went to the bathroom. Isabel sat on the stool and while Maya was doing her hair, the little girl was telling her about all the things she learned in kindergarten.
"Maya what's sex?", Isabel asked naively.
"Sorry what?"
"What’s sex?"
"Please ask your mother. Surely she can explain it better"
"Okay"
"Finished, we can go"
"Thank you. Can you hold my hand while walking?"
"Of course"
They left Carina’s apartment and the girl grabbed the blonde’s hand.
They went to the bakery near home, ordered a croissant and a coffee to take away and went to the park.
"Can you ask my mom if she could buy my a puppy? Every time I ask her she say no, but maybe if you ask her she'll say yes", Isabel said eating her croissant.
"I can try, but I can’t promise anything"
"Thank you. You're the best"
They finished breakfast, and Maya let the little girl run to the park and she loved how much energy a five-year-old girl could have.
"Water", Isabel said.
Maya opened her backpack and handed the bottle to the child.
"Thank you. Can you give me a ride in the fire truck?"
"Come on," Maya said, taking Isabel by the hand.
"My feet hurts"
Maya took Isabel on her shoulders and headed for the station.
"Bishop, what are you doing here on your day off?" Travis asked.
"Someone special wanted to see the fire trucks", Maya said pointing the child on her shoulders.
"Hi, I'm Isabel Marie Deluca", Isabel said.
"Hi Isabel, I'm Travis nice to meet you"
"Maya today is your day off, you should be home with your awesome girlfriend," Vic said as she walked into the barn.
"Hi, I'm Isabel Marie Deluca"
"Hi, I'm Vic"
"Okay mini Deluca do you want to get in the fire truck?" Travis asked and Isabel nodded as she came down from the blonde’s shoulders.
Maya put her in the truck and took a picture to send to Carina.
"Maya baby come up with me too," Isabel said and the blonde nodded.
After touring the neighborhood and meeting the rest of the firefighters, Maya and Isabel went out to say goodbye to their friends.
"Maya, can I ask you something?" Isabel asked.
"Sure, what's up?"
"Do you love my mom?"
"More than anything else"
"Okay, do you love me?"
"I love you so much Isa"
"Okay, I love you too Maya baby"
"Do you want to go somewhere?" Maya asked.
"Can we go to the zoo?" the girl asked and Maya nodded.
They arrived at the zoo after taking a bus and the little girl immediately ran to see the giraffes.
"Can I feed her?" Isabel asked, and Maya nodded and handed her a carrot that was in the basket next to them.
The happy girl took the carrot from Maya’s hand and approached her to the giraffe's mouth.
Maya took a photo and sent it to Carina.

They stayed at the zoo until lunchtime and then decided to go to mc donalds for lunch.
After lunch tired they returned home.
I had fun today, when can we go out again?" the little girl asked, taking off her shoes and sitting on the sofa.
"How about next time I take you to the movies?", Maya asked and the little girl nodded yawning.
"Hug?", Isabel asked, leaning her head on the blonde’s chest.
Maya hugged Isabel and lulled her to sleep. Soon Maya fell asleep.
It was 7:00pm when Isabel woke up after hearing the front door open.
"Mom", the little girl said, detaching from Maya’s embrace and running into her mother’s arms.
"Amore mio"
"Mom, can we keep Maya forever?"
"I will do everything to make her stay with us forever"
"We should marry her"
"How about before we propose, we ask her to live with us?"
"Can I do it? Just hide."
"All right, all right"
Carina hid behind the couch while the little girl woke Maya.
"Maya baby, wake up. I’m hungry and mom’s not back yet", Isabel said.
Then Maya opened her eyes and saw a mini Carina on her legs
"Good morning Maya," Isabel said, kissing her cheek.
"Good morning little girl"
"Can you stay here forever? With me and mom?" the little girl asked with puppy eyes.
"I’d love to, but you should ask your mom."
"I’d say I’m more than okay with that," Carina said, popping out from behind the couch.
"My love", Maya said getting up and going to kiss her girlfriend.
"I missed you but I had fun today with the baby"
"I missed you too. So, are you coming to live with us?"
"Yes, I will live with you"
"I’m so happy", Isabel said, jumping over the two women.
"I love you moms", Isabel said hugging Maya and Carina.
"We love you too"
"La nostra famiglia", Carina said, kissing her girls.
