Alone.
Carina sits in the uncomfortable chair, a row to herself due to maybe both protocol or just the scarcity of another soul in the airport terminal. She waits as patiently as she can (hardly) for boarding to begin at the gate - only then will she believe that this is actually happening. After two canceled flights and more panicked phone calls that she cares to admit to the Italian Honorary Consulate of Seattle, she is finally returning back home to Italy.
