Chapter 1: You Again?…
Chapter Text
Da-Jeong was preparing for the Wedding she and her fiancé; Myeong-hoon, were going through. Her former best friend from university walked up to her, looking before she leaned against the wall and crossed her arms. It took Da-Jeong a few seconds to notice her, and when she did, the woman opened her mouth to talk.
“…So, are you really sure you want to marry.. y’know, Myeong-hoon..?” She asked, trying to not sound or look bitter as she looked into Da-Jeong’s eyes.
“Why wouldn’t I?”
Bok-su let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose, and mumbling something under her breath before looking back at her with the same expression.
“You really think it’s a good idea to marry him?” Bok-su asked, raising a brow while trying to keep up her ‘calm’ composure. “What do you even see in him?”
“He’s a sweetie, I adore everything about him. He’s the one.”
“You seriously don’t see it, do you..? He’s just being all sweet and nice to you because he knows he can easily manipulate you…”
Bok-su muttered, her frown getting slightly deeper as she spoke. She let out another sigh, running a hand through her matted hair, clearly not thrilled with the thought of Da-Jeong marrying Myeong-hoon.
Da-Jeong took a brief pause to think about her words. “What are you even talking about?”
Bok-su’s expression faltered slightly as she said that, a look of mock concern appearing on her face as she looked at her, a hint of pleading in her eye for her to listen.
“…You know I’m only trying to help you, right? I’m only saying all this because I don’t want you to get hurt..” Bok-su said quietly, not wanting the conversation to get too loud and attract unwanted attention from others.
“You don’t know him.” The bride’s expression became agitated. “Why are you even here?”
“I didn't think you’d be back. Why are you just showing up now?”
Bok-su’s scowl deepened as she spoke, a slight hint of hurt flashing across her face, but she hid it away as she talked with a hiss. “I know,” Bok-su testified softly, trying not to make things any more tense than they already were.
"Look, I'm sorry alright? Is that what you wanted? Is that what you’re here for? An apology?”
Chapter 2: White Lies
Summary:
Bok-Su insists on canceling a marriage.
Chapter Text
Bok-su’s expression softened slightly from the angered grimace, as she spoke, clearly not expecting Da-Jeong to apologize. However, she quickly put back up her usual cold expression as she crossed her arms and let out a scoff.
“You’re not ‘sorry’. You’re just saying that because you know I’m right about him.” Bok-su muttered, clearly not buying the ‘apology’
“Quit acting like you know him, you’ve never been around.”
Bok-su couldn’t help but chuckle at that, an eerie grin spreading across her face as her solid expression remained in place.
“And you do..? You don’t even know what he’s really like! You think he’s this great person who ‘really cares’ about you? Don’t make me laugh..”
“You just met him today! And he’s the one that apparently insisted on inviting you.”
Bok-su let out an irritated snicker, rolling her eyes once more as she spoke.
“I don’t need to know him for a day to see he’s just a manipulative dickhead..” Bok-su muttered, her cold expression starting to hiccup as jealousy started to bubble up in her.
"Can you just go? You're just here to ruin this for me."
The expression on Bok-su’s face completely shattered at that as her eyes widened slightly in shock, not expecting Da-Jeong to say something like that. For a second, she just stared at her with something that looked like a mixture of pain, sadness, and disbelief.
“..Is that seriously how you see me now…?” She asked quietly, her voice almost a whisper. As much as Bok-su didn’t want to, her cutthroat tone let her temper shine through. “Another problem in your agenda?”
"I'm not letting you stop my marriage, so take the damn apology and leave if you're gonna keep spreading lies." Da-Jeong glared at the woman.
Bok-su’s face darkened once more, clearly ticked off as she clenched her gloved fists, gritting her teeth in fury.
“What, you think I’m lying..? I’m trying to help you.. And you think I have any reason to lie to you?” Bok-su shot back, her voice now a low shout as she gazed at the woman in white, struggling to keep herself calm.
“I have a good reason to.”
Chapter 3: Ex, and Oh
Summary:
What were we?
Chapter Text
Bok-su snickered at her shouting, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
“Oh, am I making you upset because I’m ‘saying mean things’ about your love'? Do you not like it when I’m telling you the truth about him?”
"You're ruining my day! My wedding day! This is why I didn't even invite you!"
“You didn’t want to invite me?”
For a moment she was completely stunned, her anger replaced with what seemed like shock and hurt. Her cold expression faltered, looking almost vulnerable for a second. Bok-su took a step back from her, dropping her arms.
"No! My husband put you on the guest list since I talked about how we were friends once."
Bok-su’s eyes darkened at the mention of that word. ‘Once’. That single word stung like a knife being driven into her heart, like a reminder of just how little she really knew her.
Bok-su clenched her hands again, her angered expression returning as she stepped in front of her, getting up close and personal.
“We were more than friends ‘once,’ and you damn well know it.”
Da-Jeong laughed, with no humor behind it " Oh please, I was your university partner what? Three times? I'd hardly even call it a friendship"
Bok-su clenched her jaw at that response, clearly angry at how she was completely downplaying their relationship as just ‘university partners’. A frown appeared on her face as she looked up at her, gritting her teeth in annoyance.
“It was More than three times! We were always together, did everything together, you always stuck up for me, stayed with me when I got ill, how can you say we were never more than ‘university partners!?”
"What did you think we were?"
Bok-su's eyes widened slightly at that, her mouth opening to speak but no words came out. Her eyes darted around for a few seconds as she thought to herself, desperately looking for a response. After a moment, her eyes locked onto hers once more, narrowing with anger and something else.
“I.. I thought we-“ Bok-su started to say, her voice quiet and shaky.

Why Would I Want to Love Someone Like You?
Chapter Text
"It didn't mean anything."
As soon as she said that, Bok-su’s heart seemed to shatter in her chest, the words stabbing like a knife right through any hope she had left.
A look of disbelief spread across the woman's face as she stared at her, her mouth open in shock as the realization of her words sunk in. She was silent for a long few seconds.
“So.. I meant nothing to you?”
"I guess not." Da-Jeong croaked out as her voice broke slightly.
Bok-su seemed to flinch slightly at the sound of your voice breaking as her answer hit her like a truck. It hurt. It hurt alot. Bok-su let out a shaky breath as the words fully sunk in, the realization of exactly what they meant almost too much for her to handle.
"I.. I was... nothing to you..." Bok-su whispered, her voice no louder than a pained gasp.
"Just go, it hurts to see you" Da-Jeong rasped out.
Bok-su closed her mouth and looked away, the pain written all over her face as she bit down on her tongue to stop from saying anything more, her eyes stinging with the desperate need to cry in front of her.
She opened her mouth to speak after a few seconds, managing to hold back her emotions enough to speak. However, her voice still clearly sounded strained as she looked straight at Da-Jeong.
”…You don’t have to tell me twice.”
Da-Jeong turned away from her trying to hide bubbling up tears.
Bok-su stayed still for a few more seconds, silently watching Da-Jeong turn away from her as her hands clenched and unclenched. It took all she had to hold back from throwing herself at her right then and there.
Bok-su tried to speak again, her voice coming out as a harsh whisper as she took a single step back in an attempt to keep her distance. She felt the sting behind her own eyes, forcing herself not to break down in the middle of the damn wedding.
The black adorned woman let out a shaky breath before she turned on her heel and walked off, quickly pushing her way through the crowd as her eyes darted around, trying her best to find the nearest exit, or anything that would get her out of the room to try and compose herself.
The wedding carried on, it was time to walk the aisle.

Chapter Text
Bok-su pushed her way through the people, ignoring the judging and prissy looks some gave her as she made her way to the doors. However, as she neared the opening, an idea formed in her mind, stopping her in her tracks. Bok-su hesitated, her hand hovering above the door handle as she thought things through, contemplating whether or not to do what she was thinking of.
Just then Da-Jeong made her way down the flower-painted path.
Bok-su’s hand hovered in front of the door handle for a few more seconds, her mind racing with various thoughts as she struggled with the urge to just leave…
Yet, as she caught a glimpse of Da-Jeong walking down the aisle, the urge returned again, stronger this time. Her eyes widened slightly as she watched her, her knuckles turning white as she clenched her hand, still holding back from leaving. ‘Just go, Just go.’ She told herself.
The Bride arrived, standing across from her soon-to-be wed husband.
Bok-su was frozen just behind the ocean of eyes, watching the whole thing unfold before her. Her knuckles now felt like they would snap from how hard she was clenching her hand. As she watched the priest begin to speak, her mind went blank apart from a single thought.
‘No…’
Bok-su started to barge her way back through the crowd, ignoring any protests she got as she made her way towards the front of the event.
Da-Jeong snapped her gaze from her husband to the woman pushing her way through the crowd
Bok-su ignored the angered looks she was getting as she finally made it to the front, standing beside the aisle on the side with Da-Jeong’s fiance. As soon as she was in sight, her eyes met the bride’s, staring at her with a look that told her she wasn’t letting her get married.
"What're you doing!?"
“What does it look like?” Bok-su shot back, her tone both calm yet cold enough to make her shiver. She quickly glanced at Myeong-hoon before looking back at her, her eyes narrowed with a determined, almost feral look.
Da-Jeong glanced at the woman’s hand, a silver tool.
"G-get away from him.."

Bok-su glanced at Da-Jeong’s fiancé again, looking at him with a glare that told him ‘one wrong move and I’ll rip your throat out’. She then looked at her, a frown appearing on her face as her eyes met the bride’s again.
“Not until I’m sure you’re not making a big mistake.” She gripped the groom’s arm, tightening her fingers around it to cause slight discomfort.
"You're gonna hurt him!"
Bok-su looked at Da-Jeong with a bewildered expression, dumbfounded at her statement. She let out a groan, rolling her eyes once more as a cold smile appeared on her face.
“Oh, you don’t have to worry about him…” Bok-su said, her eyes darting to Myeong-hoon, the cold smile turning dangerous.
Bok-su crossed her arms in front of her chest, looking at him with a dead, almost hostile gaze, her eyes darkening as if she was remembering something. Bok-su’s eyes then left him and locked onto Da-Jeong’s, the fire of bitterness once again burning through her as she took a step towards her.
The bride took steps backwards, stumbling in her dress and heels as she walked away from the deranged woman.
Bok-su took another pace forward, a smug smile appeared on her face as she took notice of how she was backing away. She knew she had her right where she wanted her.
“What? Are you scared of me?” “You weren’t so cowardly when you framed me.” Bok-su added as she stared into Da-Jeong’s eyes, as if she was searching for some kind of reaction.
Da-Jeong waved her hand behind her, looking for a temporary defense. She picked up a glass decor and smashed it, holding it in front of her as she trembled "Get back! O-Or else!”
Bok-su’s eyes widened slightly as she smashed the glass, holding it like a makeshift weapon. However, her shock was soon replaced by a smirk as she watched her, putting her hands up in a surrendering manner to mock Da-Jeong.
“Or what? Gonna stab me? You would actually stab me?” She said, amusement lacing her tone.
"B-Back away."
Chapter 7: You Dont Have The Guts
Summary:
Kill Me Like That Patient.
Chapter Text
Bok-su rolled her eyes again, taking another step towards her. Her smirk only widened as she did so, not bothered by the fact Da-Jeong was holding a broken glass in front of her.
“What’re you going to do? Slice my throat? Kill me?”
Bok-su’s voice was mocking yet dead serious at the same time. Her eyes had darkened again, a cold look in them as she watched her.
Da-Jeong’s face quivered and she closed her ears to block out the taunting. "Shut UP!"
Bok-su let out a mocking snicker as she watched her former friend block out her words, her smirk getting even wider. She was enjoying watching her get worked up, almost thriving off of it as a strange, unsettling feeling of glee rose in her chest.
“You gonna kill me like that patient?” She shot back, taking another step towards Da-Jeong.
The bride let out an enraged growl and tackled Bok-su into one of the venue's benches.
Bok-su was caught by surprise as she suddenly tossed her into the seat, her back immediately hitting the wood with a loud THUMP, a gasp escaping her as the wind was knocked out of her.
For a few seconds she lay still, trying to regain her breath as she silently let out gasps of air, looking up at her with stunned eyes before regaining her bearings and trying to push Da-Jeong off of her.
“G-get.. OFF Me!”
"This is what you wanted right!? My attention? For a reaction!? You have it now!" she held the glass over her head
Despite the fact that she was currently pinned to a bench with a sharp piece of glass pointed at her throat, Bok-su’s only response was a laugh, her face remaining almost infuriatingly unreadable as she looked up at her friend, her eyes furrowing with a hint of defiance.
“What’re you going to do now, hm? You don’t have the guts.”
The bride was fed up, she winded her arm back and then plunged the makeshift weapon into Bok-su’s chest.

Summary:
Bok-su Set her up?
Chapter Text
Bok-su’s eyes widened, but this time in shock as the sharp piece of glass hit her chest, the stinging pain immediately shocking her. Bok-su let out a guttural cry, her voice cracking and suddenly feeling a stinging sensation on her skin. She let out another gasp, her body going rigid for a few seconds as she realized what she just did to her.
For a few seconds, Bok-su just lay there frozen, the wind knocked out of her from the pain, a look of shock and pain plastered on her face.
Da-Jeong stood there for a second, her outfit drenched in crimson, she let go of the weapon and looked at her hands, her palms shaking.
Bok-su stayed completely still and silent for a few seconds, unable to think of what to say. Her mind was suddenly racing, the shock and pain of what Da-Jeong just did washing over her like a wave. She could faintly feel a warm, liquid sensation on her skin, her body starting to feel weak as she stared up at her, her eyes looking as if they were slowly losing focus as she watched her friend.
“...You-”
"No- No...I-I didn't mean too!"
It was almost as if time was frozen as Bok-su just continued to stare up at her, a look of pure hurt and disbelief on her face, slowly replaced with realization as she noticed how Da-Jeong’s hands were shaking. Her chest felt heavy, her breathing shallow and strained as she remained pinned under her.
“I-if you wanted my heart you could’ve–J-Just asked.”
Da-Jeong looked around, the guests and patrons running away in hysteria. Her husband Myeong-Hoon had run off with his family members as everyone pushed to get out of the venue.
The guests all ran out in panic, screams and shouting filling the once peaceful event. Bok-su could faintly hear them over the sound of her struggling to breathe, her chest starting to feel tighter and heavier with each passing moment as she remained stuck under Da-Jeong, the blood from her chest beginning to stain her shirt. She was slipping in and out of consciousness, losing buckets of her fluids as she stood there.
The faint sound of sirens blared in earshot, this was her plan. Bok-su’s plan.
"You...Yo- You set me up-"

Chapter Text
Bok-su’s gaze slowly refocused, her breath catching in her throat as she heard the faint sound of law in the distance. A hint of anger and realization flashed briefly across her face as she realized what she said, her grip on Da-Jeong’s wrists tightening with her anger.
“I.. I didn’t-” Bok-su started, her voice now coming out even more hoarse and strained than before as she forced the words through her constricted chest.
Da-Jeong didn't care anymore, her vision red, hatred replaced with any remorse. "I hate you." She raised the glass once more.
Bok-su’s eyes widened again, her mouth opening weakly in a gasp as she spoke the words, another flash of realization and fear appearing on her face.
“No- NO! PLEASE!” Bok-su started to protest, trying weakly to push her hand away, her voice even more strained and hurt than before as she started to lose energy.
The bride bashed and bashed, her dress no longer an off-white, now completely soaked in red. Tears streaming down to ruin her mascara.
What felt like an eternity passed before Bok-su suddenly went limp, her protests and cries muddied in Da-Jeong’s head. She didn’t care.
"Till death do us part."
