Bok-su’s heart thumped, once, twice, thrice. The thrumming in her ribcage was terribly loud within their tense silence, a pulsating cacophony resounding in her ears. They were frozen in time, in a deadly silence— echoing the sins of their shared past. Eighteen years of bitterness, shame, anger congregated into cumbersome shackles which suffocated her; their future, their destinies were seemingly chained to each other.
No matter where they went, they couldn’t outrun their accursed fates— couldn’t unfetter their intertwined, bloodstained hands.
A timeskip AU in which Da-jeong is confined to a psychiatric hospital located in the Korean countryside, after serving a few years in prison. Bok-su purposefully gets admitted to the hospital, so she could take revenge on its director — the same man who kicked her out the university program all those years ago, without conducting a thorough investigation.

In another life, Vincent would have taken the life of Manon Vacher and Rody Lamoree. In another life, Vincent would have cut Rody up into pieces and feasted upon his remains. In another life, Vincent would have descended into madness, having committed indescribable evil for the most selfish of reasons.
What would have happened had he given in to those diabolic urges? If he hadn't hesitated? If that unexpected event never took place? If he had carried out his plans with no shame or remorse?
Let us hope the world never finds out.
