It's sunny in Gotham and the Wayne kids are going to take advantage of it. Bruce is watching the life he managed to get somehow.

Notes:

For the prompt Son/Sun for Monopoly

I am so tired and feel like crying for not reason. I should sleep about that.

Work Text:

Bruce watched out the window into the back yard. The sun was shining bright in Gotham for once and all of the younger residents of the manor had decided to take full advantage of that. They were running around and playing like the kids none of them truly got to be. It was something special to see.

No one in the manor, other than maybe Alfred, had grown up in a normal home. Not one where they could run and play to their heart's content without issue. So getting the chance to see them acting like kids on a summer day meant the world to him. He had done something right for his kids, the sons and daughters of his heart, if they were able to now do that without worry.

He watched for hours, in between tasks at his desk, as they tired of games and settled in to bask in the day before they once again lost the sun to the gloom that Gotham was so well know for. He also knew that if they even suspected he had time to take a break he would be dragged out there with them. They all knew it would be good for him. Even if Bruce couldn't let himself have the time. Alfred thought he had the time for it if the look he had been given was anything to go by.

The screen grew harder to look at as he heard more screams of joy start back up in the yard. And saw more smiles when he looked out.

Bruce sighed and turned off the computer. He couldn't resists any longer and went outside to join his kids. Which was met with the enthusiasm he expected. His kids would never let a chance to have fun go to waste.
