“I am a big fan of yours, in more ways than one.” is a sentence that Yuder often heard from Kishiar. Or at least, some variations of it.
They met through a variety show where they were paired together, after they both publicly talked about being fans of each other. Yuder was already familiar with Kishiar even before ; It was hard to miss a nearly two-meter man attending every single concert and meeting event you hold, but somehow he had never made the link with his favorite actor.
Yuder himself watched about every movie Kishiar was in, even pulling some strings to be able to participate in private first viewings. He also had several posters, all of them signed by Kishiar’s hand one way or another (he had signed some of them before they even started dating and continued long after), and some… more embarrassing merchandise that Kishiar didn’t need to know about.
So yes, Yuder enjoyed Kishiar’s presence, his ability to present himself in completely opposite ways while still being believable was fascinating. Especially since to Yuder, acting was something he simply wasn’t able to do. He knew his fans were often taunted on his lack of expression.
His fans, along with Kishiar, insisted that’s what made him cuter and more appealing. To be honest, Yuder himself didn’t really understand that, but whatever. People found some worth in him, that was all that mattered in the end.
All of that to say, Yuder thought Kishiar was the same as him when it came to being his ‘fan’.
Today was the first day he went into his apartment, a really large fancy penthouse that made Yuder’s teeth cringe when he entered it. Yuder had already signed albums, posters and even whole sets of photocards, so he knew that Kishiar was quite dedicated in collecting his merch.
When he arrived at Kishiar’s home he expected to simply see his merch spread all around with maybe a shelf to show off most of it. And it’s basically what he got.
Honestly, Yuder would do a lot more if Kishiar had more merch, but of course being an actor resulted in fewer derivative products than being an idol. Although, after they publicly came out, he found fans of the both of them making fanart and even merch of themselves. While a bit weird to think about, he just kinda shrugged it away and clicked on ‘buy’ for the acrylic standee that showed Kishiar and him embrace each other in wedding suits.
At one point, after talking and watching a movie while they went from Yuder sitting in Kishiar’s lap to Kishiar laying his head down on Yuder’s thighs, they eventually started to kiss.
One thing led to another, so Yuder got up to take a quick shower to prepare himself. Kishiar naturally went to prepare the room and indicated the way to Yuder, and he either got it wrong or Yuder lost himself in the huge apartment because what he saw after opening the door was… certainly an experience.
The room, which was larger than his whole apartment back in middle school, was filled top to bottom with merchandise of himself. Posters were neatly put on the wall, the signed ones framed while the non-signed duplicates under it were carefully hung on the wall. There were plenty of framed photo cards on the shelves on either sides of the room, along with acrylic and wood standees, keychains and albums.
There was a table in the middle of the room and behind it a life-sized stand of himself in his iconic idol clothes with his hair dyed pink; there was even a body pillow with him printed on it, thrown haphazardly to the ground, making him thin that Kishiar probably had hidden it specifically for his visit.
The most freaky part however, was the table in the middle. It was covered with an embroidery referencing his songs, on it were figurines that Yuder was pretty sure had to be commissioned for some of them. In this dark room, the only thing that light up the place were lamps placed on the aforementioned table with, again, his face printed on it. Around the lamps, candles sculpted after him and yet were never light up were arranged to form a circle.
…
It felt like cold water washed over every part of himself all at once.
His gaze roamed around the room, bewildered. The breaking point was the ceiling which was painted, with, you guessed it, Yuder on it like he was a divine figure or something.
This was… Maybe a bit overkill, even for his 'biggest fan'.
Yuder felt shivers going down his spine.
He took a step back at the same time he felt a shadow covering him.
His head hit a firm yet soft wall, and he raised his head to meet the gaze of his panic-stricken boyfriend.
“...”
“...”
“I can… Explain ?”
“...Was the life-sized standee necessary ?”
“That ! I managed to get Nathan to grab it after a special sale event at a store…”
Yuder pointed up.
“...The ceiling ?”
“...”
“...”
“...Let’s talk in the living room !”
Yuder gave him a dubious look but nodded. Kishiar stepped away from him, giving him enough space to go ahead of him.
He felt so much better once the door closed, he didn’t have the feeling of hundreds of dead-eyed printed Yuders looking at him.
“...-So I got Nathan to wait first in line, but don’t worry I gave him a huge bonus and some paid time off ! As for the ceiling… I was really moved by your ‘Luma’ song’s MV, so I wanted to… immortalize it.”
Kishiar finished his rant in an awkward manner that was foreign to the usually smooth man.
They were both sitting in front of each other, Kishiar in particular was sitting on a stool, his hands straight on laps and sweating from nervousness. He was looking at Yuder like a beaten dog and with the image of this huge hunk of a man giving him puppy eyes while hunching on himself from stressing over what Yuder would think of him…
Yuder couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.
This alone seemed to relax Kishiar a little in exchange for him lightly puffing his cheeks.
“Don’t laugh at me, Yuder ! I truly didn’t want to scare you like that.”
“It’s fine, I already knew you were a fan, I just didn’t expect you to really be the number one fan.”
Truly, so what if the room looked like an altar for an obscure god with some new-age voodoo stuff going on in there ? At this point, Yuder knew Kishiar well enough to know it was simply his rich boyfriend showing off his love with plenty of banknotes.
Kishiar deflated back to his lost puppy eyes.
“...Really ? I can understand if you find it disturbing.”
“I mean it. Maybe I should have my own ceiling painted with you on it…”
Now his boyfriend completely broke into a huge shining smile.
“If you do so, let me pay for it !”
…Actually, it was meant to be somewhat of a teasing joke but… well, it wouldn’t be the weirdest thing Yuder did about Kishiar.
Besides Kishiar did it first.
“No, It will be a surprise.”
Yuder leaned over and pecked Kishiar’s lips.
“I just don’t want to see that body pillow in your bed.”
“...I can still use it to sleep when you’re not around ?”
“Fine,” Yuder frowned lightly, “I’ll allow it, but only for that.”
Kishiar nodded and leaned in to fully engulf his lips with his own, but Yuder stopped him one last time.
“I don’t want to see that life-sized standee either.”
Kishiar giggled and fully leaned in to completely cover Yuder’s body.
