Summary
His mindless thoughts were broken by a loud slam! opening his door. The chime of the bells he’d placed on the roof next to the door were overtaken by the deafening rain and booming thunder.
It took him a second to notice the figure standing in the middle of his shop. They were tall, leaning on a cane for support. Brunette hair clinging onto their forehead for dear life as water dripped down their sharp features.
The second thing Grian noticed was how he was huffing and puffing, as if he’d ran a marathon. He must’ve been one of the unfortunate souls who didn’t have an umbrella, and couldn’t find shelter in time.
A miniature puddle formed beneath the man, with the water showing no plans to stop dripping. Grian placed his book on the window sill and stood up. There was an awkward pause as both men stared at each other, unsure of what to say.
“Um. Hi, welcome to Xelqua’s boutique… do you— how can I help you?” Grian clumsily began. He didn’t even have it in him to slip into a customer service voice, just staring at the man with wide eyes.

Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Summary
"Yeah, that looks—" Grian isn't paying enough attention, eyes already moving away from Scar and his armload of bamboo.
His mouth moves mechanically, a saccharine voice torn from his throat. "You're soooo strong." He swallows back the pounding urge to squeal but his hands are already lacing together in front of him like a schoolgirl, a red flush powdering his cheeks, and then— "kyaaa~"
Scar stares.
Grian spawns in a choose your own adventure death game with a blade strapped to his thigh and faint memories of a battle once past. An agitating system screen follows him around every corner, dictating how he interacts with other players. Specifically, Scar.
