Fleeting Rose

Summary:

Layla Rose had never been more afraid than when her cousin wanted to meet her boyfriend.

Everything would be fine, if not for the fact that Keith was a hardcore crossdresser!

Will she be able to undo it all and return to her previous life?

Chapter Text

Who in their right mind does homework on Friday night that's normally done on Sunday?

Of course, it was Layla Rose, and that was because her darn cousin, who went to France to study, had called a moment ago, saying she wanted to meet up.

That's because she'd been back for a month now and, with her boyfriend, had opened a clothing and accessories store there.

Everything would have been fine, except her parents had hinted that she was seeing someone.

And so, horror of horrors, she was forced to introduce him to her, because she wouldn't let him live.

Knowing her cousin, she would have pestered her until she agreed to this damned meeting.

Which didn't make her happy at all, no matter how she looked at it.

She would have planned everything better, if it weren't for her parents' words, which now left her with no room to maneuver.

And the worst part was, how could she possibly tell her that her boyfriend was a crossdresser?

There was no way she could tell her, especially since she had no idea how her boyfriend would react to the sight.

So from early morning, she'd been drilling it into Keith's head that he should come dressed as a man on Saturday.

It didn't matter if it was hot or cold, because she wasn't going to listen to her reasoning.

She already had a lot of problems with him because of his crossdressing, and she didn't want to add to them.

All Layla could do was pray that he would come dressed as a man.

She knew how ridiculous it sounded, but that was all she could do now.

She wasn't going to barge into his house first thing in the morning and stand over him like a torturer over a sinful soul, just to make sure he didn't put on a dress, was she?

On the other hand, it was a good idea, but wait...

No, that's not a good idea!

Her heart wouldn't take it, because no matter how you look at it, his brothers were also handsome, not to mention his father and mother.

Now she knew where those genes came from.

Wait, she'd gotten a bit off topic, and she was supposed to write this all down properly!

Anyway, after finishing her homework, she grabbed her phone and checked for any new messages.

Then she saw a text from Keith that read: "Do I really have to come dressed as a guy?"

A moment later, she nervously texted him back: "Of course, you idiot!"

And then, setting her phone down on the desk, leaning back in her chair, closing her eyes for a moment.

She had a sinking feeling that this might not work out, but she had a faint hope that everything would work out as planned.

She glanced at her phone again and saw that he'd replied: "I'll try, but I'm not making any promises, just know that I love you anyway."

She sighed softly at the message, heading straight for the bathroom, as it was already nearly 10 p.m.

She took a bath, then changed into her pajamas and went to bed with a heavy heart.

Before she knew it, morning had arrived, and rays of cheerful sunshine were streaming into her room.

As if to spite her, letting her know she should get up now, as it would take her a while to get ready.

Not to mention that she hadn't slept well at all, constantly praying to herself that he'd come to his senses and get dressed properly.

Slowly forcing herself to open her eyes, Layla glanced at the clock.

Keith was supposed to pick her up around ten, because she'd promised her cousin she'd be there with him around eleven.

Only after a moment did it dawn on her that it was after nine, so she had less than an hour to get ready, eat something, and be ready to go.

She never would have thought the moment would come when she could say she'd overslept.

Which she didn't want to say, because she wasn't one of those people.

She must have been so worried about what was going to happen the next day that she couldn't sleep.

And when she finally did fall asleep, it was very late.

Maybe if she hadn't had problems with her boyfriend, she wouldn't have had to worry about what her cousin would say.

But as we all know, things were completely different, so it was understandable that she was nervous about this meeting.

It took her a while to realize that this was the day.

It's no wonder she acted the way she did, which was somewhat understandable.

"AH!!!," Layla screamed like a madwoman, falling headfirst off the bed, making quite a racket in the process.
