Summary
Morel Mackernasey runs a mechanic shop and PI firm in the human realm. He also serves as a Knight of the Summer Court because as a half human, he can go places and do things full blood fae cannot. His life is simple, or at least as simple as it can be given his heritage and line of work.
And then he gets a visit from a new Knight of the Winter Court, Knov Galkin, who inherited the title upon the death of his half brother Arkady. One of the many problems? Someone murdered Arkady, and Knov needs to figure out who before they come after him. The other Knights of the Winter Court won't help him and Knov's father sees it as a means for him to prove his worth as a new Knight. So he's come to a Knight of the opposite court in hopes Morel will help him both solve the murder and help him understand what this new mantle means.
Can they find the killer before the killer finds them? And can they do so without further complicating their already complex relationship?
