    Ben and Sky Solo were happy children. They had a special bond, a mental link, as many twins do. Even when they were babies, when one of them would cry in the night, before Han or Leia could rise to comfort them, they would have rolled over to help soothe their sibling.
    When the darkness pulled Ben away from Sky, she couldn't cut the connection between them, even though her brother had made it clear his allegiance was no longer to the Solo family.
