   Summary

   I bring my fingers to the back of his hand. The simple act of touching his skin makes my breath quicken slightly and a gentle tingling sensation runs up my arm. Link tenses as he watches me move my fingers over his hand in a hesitant attempt at affection.

   "I... I know you feel the energy too," I say, though not entirely sure. However, I can't let him leave without knowing what it's like... to be with him. I could never forgive myself. "And if this is the last night we'll have together... I want to spend it with you."

   A few months after the fall of the Calamity, Link is about to leave Hyrule on a mission to discover who he is besides the so-called "Hero" and holder of the Master Sword. Zelda is broken-hearted but understands his needs and, so, she won't stand on his way.

   However, knowing that there might not be another chance, she requests him a for proper farewell.

   This one-shot is actually an extended version of the Chapter 7 from the main fanfic "The courage to find me". Nonetheless, it can be read on its own, as it is pretty self-explanatory.
