   Summary

   Rhaenyra and the Blacks quickly squash the attempt the Greens made to usurp the crown. In her wisdom and kindness, she spares her immediate family, allowing Alicent and her children to remain at the Red Keep under her watchful eye. Aemond chafes and struggles to find his place and to find healing as Rhaenyra's boys seem to grow and flourish into their roles. As the years pass he finds himself still entwined with Lucerys Velaryon, drawn together again and again despite their best efforts to stay away from one another.
