At four years old, Joffrey Velaryon wakes up in a Westeros that is very different from the one he knows. A nineteen year old Queen, one who holds no Targaryen blood, sits unwillingly on the throne after fighting for her sister's right to rule - a sister who then fled to another country from her own seclusion in the Riverlands.
And in those eight months, the two bond, and now, at six years old, they're attempting to send him home. Only...they get the timing a little wrong.

Summary
King Viserys was ready to decline the marriage offer made by Corlys Velaryon, but his opinion changed, and so did the future of Westeros.
Alongside that, Daemon Targaryen is forced to marry Alicent Hightower, the daughter of his most hated enemy, after his despised marriage was considered invalid by the High Septon under a request of the King.
With his decisions, Viserys wanted to end the conflicts inside his realm and inside his small council, but things are never that simple.
And so, in a few decisions, the future is changed and the green is replaced by the red.

As 131 AC, came ti its relative end, the Dance ended with it and with it, the promise of a brighter future. Rhaenys claimed the Iron Throne for herself after the Great Council of 101 AC.
The Queen Who Never Was ascended the Iron Throne 30 years after she was disinherited and would rule greatly for the next 20.

Following the death of Queen Rhaenyra's sons, sired by Laenor Velaryon, and the presumed death of Prince Daemon, Rhaenyra made the choice to keep her youngest children, Aegon, Visenya and Viserys, from suffering the same fate as their Velaryon brothers. Having sold her crown, the fallen Queen secured passage on a ship to Pentos in 131 AC but was intercepted by a group of Myrish pirates. While Rhaenyra's remaining Queensguard managed to hold them off, Aegon the Younger was taken captive and handed over to Aegon II.
Throughout the years that followed, Rhaenyra failed on multiple occasions to retrieve her son, and any form of negotiation was struck down by Aegon and Alicent. All but one remained on the table; Aegon would spare his nephew's life in exchange for Princess Visenya's hand in marriage.

This fanfiction follows the events of the show, up until the end of S1, adding some few elements from S2 and some of my own ideas. And also the dates are trying to be as much similar to the books as they can. I'm mostly trying to use the book as the main source.
Short summary: Rhaenyra is named heir in early 107 AC, Aegon is born in late 108 AC. Events of episode 3-4 happen in late 111 AC to early 113 AC.
