Chapter Text
The night air in the Sunset Savana was crisp and clean, the slight chill reminded you that the sun had set over an hour ago and your boyfriend hadn’t noticed you rubbing your cold arms. He was engrossed in his phone, laughing, scrolling, and making a face that told you he was seeing something that made him horny. You two have been dating for about a year and a half now, while it started good and you loved him, over the last few months he’s gotten…well you couldn’t quite put your finger on it, saying distant felt too simple but it seemed appropriate. You fell in love with him because of his charm, being that you were one of the few humans that chose to live in the Sunset Savana it was hard to come across another human, much less a male one but he only seemed to be interested in you when it was convenient for him.
Your date tonight started well, he took you out to the mall because you had mentioned that it was new and wanted to check out the stores but then as the evening rolled around you started to get hungry. He finally agreed to get some dinner which he had to pick, but that was fine with you as long as you got some food.
You followed in silence as he led you to the place, it turned out to be a bar, The Drunkin’ Hippo, and from the looks of the vehicles outside it was a biker's bar. You were a little nervous to go inside seeing as most of the inhabitants were beastfolks and they tended to be rowdy drunks. Before you could protest though your boyfriend walked inside and you just took a deep breath and pushed the heavy wooden door open.
When the door swung inward the scent of smoke, alcohol, B.O., and food hit you at once, you scrunched up your nose as you looked up to see two towering men in front of you. They were dressed in leather jackets, leather pants, and beat-up t-shirts, and had some very detailed tattoos. The one that was sporting a mohawk blew out a large puff of smoke in your face making you sneeze, more so from having smoke blown your way than what he was smoking.
“What’s a dainty thing like you doin’ in a place like this?” He asked, his voice was a low baritone with a hint of a raspy whistle which was probably from the smoking.
“Yeah…whats all dat about huh? Not a pretty place for a pretty thing.” The man next to him asked as he reached for your face.
You moved away and took a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves, “I-I’m here with my boyfriend…” Your voice was shaky and you truly hated that but once again your boyfriend left you alone in a strange place.
The men looked around the room, you had just spotted him in the corner near the back when they spoke up, “That him? The short stubby one snugglin’ up on Tea’la?” The mohawk one asked.
Your eyes locked in on the girl, Tea’la as the man called her, she was pretty, much younger than you and she was a beastfolk. You were starting to piece together your boyfriend's type and you were slowly becoming less and less the type. You first noticed his tastes shift when his friends took you out for his birthday, they of course did not choose a suitable venue but a strip club. There your boyfriend got a lap dance from a beast girl and he seemed to be entertained. You remember that same night he wanted you to dress up like a kitty girl and pretend you were a cat for him but when you said no he snapped and hit you. Claiming it was still his birthday and you had to do it. That was the first time he hit you but it wasn’t the last, ever since that night he seemed to be shorter and shorter with you. You then noticed he started following a beast woman on Chatgram who -in your opinion- wore too little and should have been banned but you didnt run the platform.
You could only hang your head and nod, which got a sympathy snort from the mohawk man, the other man swore under his breath but you didn’t want pity. You walked away from them, arms tight against your sides and stomach as you marched towards the table. Knowing this was going to get you hit because you were going to ruin his mood but you didn’t care. You were hungry, cold, and tired.
Sure enough, as you slid into the seat across from him, his eyes narrowed, lips pursed together, a sneer developed, and then the eyebrows tightened. Clearing his throat was the first step in his annoyance, which you did ignore because of the women hanging off him who seemed to be sharing the same look but seemingly fine being with a man who had a girlfriend.
“What are you doing?” His voice was low and threatening, one you have heard many times before. The ice that ran off his tongue could freeze the blood in your veins but you were getting too tired of all this.
You snapped your head up at him, narrowing your vision to look directly into his eyes, “well I thought I was having dinner with my boyfriend.” You stressed the last word and then looked at the woman, who seemed to become a little uncomfortable, “But I see he’s picked another meal–”
“Say another word and I’ll beat that little ass of yours!” He said through nashed teeth.
You slammed your hands on the table and walked towards the bar, you were not going to do this tonight in public, all you wanted was food, so that's what you were going to get. Walking up to the bar, you found an empty seat and slipped into it.
The bartender came over to you with a glass in his hand, and then poured you some water, “what can I get you darlin’?” he said with a smile.
“Can I order food from here too?” You asked since that was the whole reason you came up here, to get away and eat food.
He smiled bigger, “Of course, you can! Now here’s this,” he handed you a menu, “you take a glance at that and I’ll come back for your order alright?”
“Thank you!”
You took a look at the menu, everything seemed like it was finger food, which shouldn't have surprised you it was a bar but the sliders sounded promising to at least fill you up as for the drink you thought to play it safe but as the way this night started you said F it. You were going with the house favorite, Hibiscus Tropical Twist, which according to the description was the Sunset Savana’s popular drink baobab with hibiscus, Rum, lime juice, apple juice, and a splash of vodka.
You sat there waiting for the bartender to come back, looking around the room to see all the tables full of gangs, and waitresses, TV’s blaring the latest games, news, and shows. Though the volume of the establishment was deafening it was better than listening to your boyfriend flirt with another girl.
“Alright! What will it be miss?” The bartender asked as he slid back along the bar, towards you.
“Can I get the slider combo with fries and a Hibiscus Tropical Twist?” You said as you folded the menu and slid it back towards him.
“Yes you can, how would you like the meat cooked?” He asked as he took back the menu and wrote down your order.
“Oh…Um…medium.”
“You got it! I will put that into the kitchen and then work on your drink.” He gave you a wink as he slid the booklet into his apron and disappeared into the bar again.
You peered over your shoulder to where your boyfriend sat and you were welcomed to the sight of him feeling up the woman, Tea’la, it made you nauseous. You took a sip of your water and tried to focus on anything else but nothing else was too interesting in this place, other than the men throwing darts–nope those were knives.
The door to the bar opened and you looked at the newcomer, your jaw almost hit the floor. Your eyes widened as a mess of rich brown hair, black leather, and the most gorgeous green eyes you have ever seen. The tall, tanned man came in with a wild smile, his eyes scanned the room, and then shook a few people's hands, bumped shoulders, and even kissed a few women on the cheek. He had a scar along his left eye, his ears and tail were a rich milk chocolate color and looked so soft. You felt your mouth go dry, everything that was wrong with your night seemed to fade into the distance, the noise blurred around you and the only thing in focus was him.
You watched him walk towards you, figuring he would just walk past you to a table full of people but instead, he kept coming closer and closer to you. Then he was standing in front of you, towering over you, a look of confusion on his face along with a small bit of displeasure.
“Hey, herbivore you’re sitting in my seat.” He said in a crude tone, it was dismissive but with a rich low tenor.
You kept staring, not registering that he was talking to you but the low growl he let out and then leaning in closer to your face made you snap out of the dreamland you were in. “Wh–What? Oh! So-Sorry.” You said you could feel the heat rising in your cheeks as he kept his face just inches from yours.
“Tsk,” He clicked his tongue, “Well move then.” He threw his thumb over his shoulder illustrating to get lost.
You felt a pang of hurt, though you weren't sure why, you didnt know this man but some part of you wished he would just talk to you but that was hopeful thinking. “Sorry…” You whispered as you slid off the chair, grabbing your purse in the process.
“Ahh, here you go ma’am, one Hibiscus Tropical Twist…Oh hey, Leo! When did you fly in?” The bartender said as he slid the drink you ordered over to you and smiled at the man next to you.
“Last night, thought I’d come in for a quick bite, I’m tired and could use a nap…why’d you give away my seat?” Leo asked as he seemed to shoot you a look from the corner of his eye.
“Huh? Hey listen up, my bar, my rules and I can give away any chairs I want. Besides…” The bartender motioned for Leo to lean forward, which he did, “She’s having a bad night, her boy over there is practically eye fucking Tea’la– nah he’s fucking her now.”
You looked back over at the table your boyfriend was at and you saw red, he wasn't even trying to hide it anymore. He had the woman on his lap and it was clear something was meeting something else. The look on her face said it all, she was loving his dick and it made you want to throw up. It was one thing to flirt but to just straight up have sex with her in a booth at a bar was a new low. You spun towards the bartender, who seemed to flinch when your eyes made contact with his.
“Make that order to-go please.” You demanded as you threw your purse over your shoulder and marched over to the table.
He saw you before you got to the table and you made eye contact with him but his scowl turned into a sinister smile as he thrusts up harder into the women, making her cry out but it wasn’t heard over the loud volume in the bar. You were fuming now, your blood pumping into your ears, your heart pounding out of your chest, nostrils flaring and you found yourself standing in front of the two.
“Seriously! You couldn’t help yourself, you are pathetic! How can you do this to me? At least have the decency to break up with me before you fuck someone else! Though that might be giving you too much credit…we are over! Have a nice life.” You spat, the venom coming off you scared you but it felt so good.
Turning on your heels you walked back towards the bar to grab your food, when you got back the food wasn’t ready yet, which caused you to get a little nervous and you noticed the Leo guy hadn’t sat down in the chair you gave up. Instead, he was staring at you, eyes wide and studying you which was making you slightly uncomfortable.
“Yes?” Looking over at Leo you gave him a confused look.
He cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck, “Nothin’ just curious why–”
You felt something grab the back of your head and slammed your face into the bar, you felt your nose and head make contact with the solid surface. The pain swelled through your face, you tasted blood in your mouth and some dripped out of your nose but the pain on the back of your skull was what drew your attention as your head was thrown back and a sharp cold object pressed up against your throat.
“Pretty ballsy, you think I’m stupid? You always act up like this when another woman gets involved, it's pretty cute to see you so jealous but you took it so far as to say you are gonna break up with me…” he slid the knife gently across your throat, not drawing blood but the feeling made you shiver, “getting turned on a bit?”
A dark chuckle sounded next to you, making your boyfriend or ex at this point look over and even you were curious to see who it was coming from. Your eyes widened when it was Leo, the lion beast-man who seemed to have a chip on his shoulder about you was now laughing maniacally, a hand over his face, your head was thrown back and even your ex seemed to be confused by this.
The bar seemed to grow quiet with his laughter, you hated that all eyes were on you now, but then he threw the chair across the room and it hit the booths behind you. Leo reached out and grabbed your ex’s collar roughly pulling him towards himself and growling loudly.
You dropped to the floor and immediately went to hold your nose to stop the bleeding and test to see if it was broken. It felt swollen when you touched it and it was tender to the touch, which was the last thing you needed.
“You nasty little prick ain’t ya! You think for a moment she enjoyed that! You have to be plain stupid to pull a knife out on a woman. You’re a sick bastard!” Leo shouted at your ex.
“She’s my girl! You don’t get to tell me what to do or not do with her!” Your ex shouted back.
“Well, apparently she dumped your ass when you were over there getting some real cat pussy. You don't own her and a real man wouldn't go throwing himself around with other women.” Leo shouted back.
“She’ll come back to me, bitch can’t live without me.”
“That’s what you think.”
“Is that a threat? Who the hell do you think you are man?”
“Someone who is tired of shit people like you treating others horribly for no reason at all.”
“Pfft, if you were looking for some pity sex you should have just asked.”
“The F***! What does that have to—”
“Oh please I saw you eyeing her when she walked back to the table, she does have some nice pussy and ass I won't lie but she is so ordinary I got bored.”
You felt every word, each one like an icy dagger straight to the heart, you knew he thought very little of you but to hear it was painful more painful than you imagined. You heard the crack without seeing it, a fist made contact with someone's face, and looking behind you, your ex was falling with a large fist size mark on his face. Blood coming out of his nose and mouth, the woman Tea’la ran over to him and asked if he was ok.
Before you could react your arm was being yanked up with the rest of you and you were being dragged across the room. The door opened and the chilly night air hit your wet face you squinted as the pain flared up again, and your head started to hurt. You felt the hand that dragged you out let go and you ran into someone's back which caused you to let out a yelp of pain.
“Gah! Shit…ahhh…Oh man, yeah my nose is broken.” You felt tears pricking up on the corners of your eyes as the pain finally set in and all the emotions were coming to a head.
“Sorry…Here put this on if you can.” Leo’s voice said as he held out a helmet towards you.
You looked up at him in confusion, “Why? What…why are you doing this? What do you want?” You asked, panic set in, the pain was making it harder to think, and even your vision was starting to blur.
Leo grabbed you and steadied you, “Hey! Stop moving it's only going to make it worse! Look I just want to get you to a hospital. Is that ok?” He asked while trying to get you to calm down.
You stop for a moment to let what he said sink in, “Wait…you want to take me to the hospital?” Your voice softened.
He clicked his tongue, “Will you just let me take you to the hospital! Before he comes out here and tries to do more damage?” He asked while letting go of you and threw on his helmet.
You looked back towards the door and all you could see was an old life that was messed up, looking at your newfound companion there was a chance of some hope. You decided to take the risk, whatever happened it couldn't be worse than almost dying to your ex, so throwing on the helmet as gently as you could to avoid the damage to your face you marched over to where Leo was situated on his bike.
It was a beautiful bike, all black with some metallic gray, neon yellow lights accented the frame and lit up the logo and around the wheels. The body was thin, and light and looked so futuristic, even the wheels had caps on them to protect the mechanisms, the LED display showed the functions of the bike, the smooth leather seat, and the cool back end of the bike was floating. You weren't sure how you were going to sit on it without breaking it but he kept pointing for you to get on.
“Uh…I’ve never been on a bike before…how do I get on?” You asked as you held the strap to your purse.
He looked back at you and sighed, “Put your foot here,” he pointed to a little stand that was coming out of the bike, you did as he told, “Now throw your leg over, and sit.” You did as he said and the whole thing shifted under your weight, causing you to lean forward and grab him. You felt him chuckle through the vibrations of his body. “Getting ahead of ourselves are we? Look you can keep holding onto me but do it around my waist so I can move, or you can grab the strap between your legs but make sure to hold on tight!” He yelled as he started the bike, the engine roared to life.
Once he turned on the bike the whole thing lit up further, he must have had some custom work done to it because it seemed like there were tons more neon lights that decorated the vehicle and then he was off. The moment he took off you fell backwards but reached for his waist and held on for dear life.
You never knew a bike could be so fast, but once you got the courage to open your eyes and look at your surroundings it was incredible the speed you were going. The wind whipped left and right against you, your bag was flying around your torso, and your dress was dangerously close to lifting up but you sat it down again. He moved the bike with such ease, it was like you were riding a cloud, floating along the street and for a moment the world was peaceful. No scary boyfriend, no horrible diets, no pain, no gauge dress-up attire, just silence, and nature.
You hadn’t meant to hug him but you found yourself gripping him tighter as you drove through the night.
Once you two had arrived at the hospital the nurse checked you into the emergency room and went to find someone to get you an x-ray quick. So there you sat in a cold room with a stranger you just met at a bar who decked your ex. It was awkward, he didnt say anything to you and here you were sitting on this bed, luckily you didnt need to change into a gown otherwise that would have been the cherry on top of this night.
“Um…” You muttered, “You don't have to stay…I appreciate you taking me here but I think I can manage on my own for now.” You said, hoping to break up the silence that hung in the room.
Leo looked up at you from where he sat, the chair looked uncomfortable, “And if he shows up here? He knows everything about you, Do you think that won’t convince a nurse? Especially if he flirts with one.” He said it so plainly and seriously, there was no emotion just facts.
You hated to admit it but he was right, your boyfriend knew everything about you, or enough to get him in the door, “Shit…” You put your face into your hands. “Man…I messed up this time.” You felt the tears rolling down your eyes.
Leo seemed to ignore you and looked at the poster hanging on the wall that was talking about healthy living and dieting. You didn’t expect him to say anything else but before you could come up with something else to say the nurse came back in.
“Oh goodness dearly, does something hurt? Let me see.” The nurse took your face gently into her hands and rotated it so she could see it better. “Hmmm, I don't see anything new unless the pain is back? I can get you some pain medication if that will help, I don't want to see you cry, it will be ok.” She said, her tone was so warm and compassionate.
You shook your head, “No, no I was just thinking of who did this to me and how much of a loser I am for not seeing this sooner…I am fine.”
The nurse looked over at Leo and scowled, “Listen here, mister!” She yelled, which caused both of you two to jump and look at her, “I don't know what you did to her but you better apologize and hope there is no serious damage.” She pointed her finger into his face.
“Oui, I didn't—”
“Not another word out of you, you are making her cry. How shameful,” She said with a sigh and shook her head.
“Shameful–”
“Well, apologize!”
“I didn’t do—”
The nurse growled at him which seemed to make him tense up but you need to clear the issue up, “NO! No, no, you have it all wrong! This man here is nice, he saved me and brought me here. The one who did this to me is my now ex-boyfriend.” You clarified that the nurse seemed to turn a shade of red.
“Oh dear…I am so sorry sir.” She bowed her head to apologize to him.
He rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders, “Whatever… it's fine just have someone take a look at her already.” He said, though you caught something in his tone that was demanding and it caught the nurse off guard.
The nurse nodded her head and went back outside the room, which left you alone with Leo again but this time he seemed even more agitated than before. “I’m sorry…you got into this situation because of me. If I hadn’t taken your spot you wouldn’t have gotten involved and I would probably just be on my way home…” You said as you played with your thumbs in a nervous twitch.
“Your ex is messed up…how could you even love that?” He asked, his tone was curious even though his body didnt show the slightest hint of care.
You leaned back onto the bed and stared up at the white ceiling tiles, “Well it wasn’t all bad before…we used to love each other but then he started hanging out with a certain group of people from his work and then he got introduced to the beastfolk strip club where he ended up spending most of his time.” You explained. The memories of him coming home smelling like a new girl each night, glitter, hickies, boners, lipstick stains, and one night he came home with a girl. You listened all night to them making love and it made you want to rip your ears off.
“Why stay? You should have left his ass.” He said so casually.
“I tried, but as you saw in the bar, he won’t let me leave that easily, and even if he does let me go which he has in the past, he just ends up getting drunk and drags me back.” You let out a big sigh as you fell back into the pillows.
There was a small knock on the door, you said they could come in and a young male doctor walked in. “Hello, my name is Dr. Walkin and I hear we may have a broken nose?” He asked as he walked up to the portable computer.
“Yes, I got into a scuffle with my ex-boyfriend and he hit my face hard, I was bleeding a lot and I thought I heard something crack.” You explained and the doctor was busy typing everything down.
“Mmhm…right, ok well before I get you into an x-ray let me check a few things and ask some questions ok.” You nodded and he took his stethoscope out and placed it in his ears, “Now I am going to listen to your heart and lungs, do you mind if I go down your top so I don't get any interference with the clothing?” He asked.
“No, go ahead.”
“Thank you, now this might be a little cold,” He warned before he placed the smooth object on your skin which was indeed cold. “Ok a few deep breaths, in and out….good, now again….good, one more time. Excellent. Well, the heart and lungs all sound good which is a relief, sometimes when people get head injuries others follow. Now let's get some basic questions out of the way.”
Once he had finished the examination and questions he went ahead and looked at your nose, he seemed so concerned by the shape and swollenness of it that he asked the nurse to process an x-ray faster. Once they had a room ready he wheeled you back there and took some photos.
Once you were back in your room, you let yourself relax, Leo seemed to be too preoccupied with his phone to notice you, and for a brief moment that was fine for you. You shut your eyes and somehow drifted asleep.
You woke up to the sound of your name being said over and over, when you opened your eyes the light was blinding at first but then you realized it was a flashlight. “Y/N…Y/N can you hear me?” The doctor's voice came to life in your ears.
“Mmmm…” You were struggling to see and you suddenly felt nauseous.
“Yo doc you're blinding her. Turn the flashlight off.” Leo’s voice rang out, to which you silently thanked him because the world was finally coming back into focus.
“Appologizes miss Y/N, can you hear me? I need to hear you speak, just to make sure you didnt have a stroke or anything while you were asleep.” The doctor asked.
Your mouth suddenly felt dry, how long were you asleep for, your mind felt fuzzy and you were sure the headache that was pounding through your head sounded louder than before, “Yes…” you said weakly, your throat was raw for some odd reason, did you sleep with your mouth open.
“Ahh good, apologies, Leo here said that you closed your eyes and fell asleep but when you didn’t wake up after three hours we began to worry. Especially since you were not responding to our calls of your name.” He explained as he guided his hands down your throat stopping just above your pressure point to check for a pulse.
“Th-Three hours….my throats…so raw….” You horsed out, you really did feel dry-mouthed and still tired.
“Hmmm, yes that is unfortunately due to the bandages, we took advantage while you were sleeping to apply the correction bandage to your nose, seeing as it can be quite painful it was beneficial you were asleep. Seeing as we had to slightly re-break your nose again, also we applied some plugs in your nose to stop the bleeding, so your body began breathing through your mouth. I apologize for the discomfort.” He explained and it was all starting to make sense.
“So…am I ok…then?” You asked, “Can I–” you started coughing, “Drink some water?”
“Here you go miss, please try to take slow sips.” The nurse said as she passed you a glass of water.
You took a big sip at first to relax your throat and then took several smaller sips, which made everything feel better. “Ah, much better. Thank you so the help– Oh goodness, why do I sound like a duck!?” You didnt realize when your throat was dry but your voice sounded like a duck quacking.
“Ha-hah!” You heard Leo roaring in the corner, “She does sound like a duck!” He nearly had tears in his eyes from laughing so hard.
“Glad you think this is funny.” You said but had to admit it was kind of funny, even you couldn't help but crack a smile at how silly your voice sounded.
“Well that should go away once the nose has healed, I will warn you the bruise and healing will be brutal so make sure to take good care of yourself and no stomach sleeping, you can't crush your nose. I recommend sleeping on your back if possible, side isn't bad but try to make sure your nose doesn't wedge against the pillow.” The doctor finished explaining the rest of the recovery process and even prescribed you some pain meds for when what they gave you at the hospital finally wore off.
Once you looked over a final time he discharged you from the hospital and you made your way to the front desk to see about payments. Since you were rushed into the emergency room you didnt have time to set up the insurance and you weren’t about to let that haunt you for the rest of your life.
“Oh, it looks like everything has been paid in full, you are all good to go.” The admin girl said with a smile.
“Wait…that cant–”
“Thank you, now let's get going.” Leo interrupted and gently looped his arm with yours to lead you out of the hospital.
“Hey, wait…did you pay for my bill?” You asked as you pulled your arm out of his, you stood right outside the door that led to the parking lot. “I’ll pay you back, whatever it is, I can't let you do that…”
“Tsk” He clicked his tongue, “Oh, and why is that? I can't be a nice guy? Just because I dress like this doesn't make me a bad person.” He taunted as he looked back at you.
“Wha–No, I appreciate the generosity but it wouldn't be right to just let you pay for a mistake of mine. Hell, my ex should foot that bill since he is the one who did this to me. So please, I have a job I can pay you back…but if you don't want money…” You thought about another way you could pay him back but you sucked at cooking complex foods and though you were good at cleaning it wasn't something you did like a professional.
You felt him lift your chin with his fingers to look up at him, “Hmmm…you wanna pay me back with something other than money?” He wore a shit-faced smirk that made your insides flip.
“I meant more along the lines of cooking or cleaning or washing your bike…grocery shopping…not… that.” You felt your cheeks redden at the mere thought of you two having sex, though in all honesty, he was good-looking, probably the single most good-looking beast man you ever saw.
“Fine.”
Huh…your brain stopped for a moment, “What? Fine?”
“Fine, you got yourself a deal.” He said as he let go of your face and walked towards his bike not another word was said.
You sighed not knowing what he meant but you supposed you would figure it out later, now you just wanted to sleep so you took out your phone and started to order a ride home. Just as you were about to hit order someone took your phone away, “Hey! Give it back!”
“Where do you think you're going?” Leo asked, he was now on his bike and in front of you holding your phone way above your head.
“Uh going home, where else?” You said back, hands on your hips looking at him.
“You think he won't be there when you show up?” He asked, he dangled your phone above you like a cat toy.
“Well seeing as we never lived together I doubt he will be at my house. So can I please have my phone back?” You held your hand out to him.
He pondered for a moment but then slipped the phone into his inside jacket pocket, zipping up the jacket, “No, now get on, I’ll go slow since you can’t wear the helmet.”
“Excuse me! Who do you think you are? The Prince of the Savana?!” You yelled at him.
You visibly saw him flinch like you struck a nerve, but it was a moment, quick as lightning, because he was grabbing you around the waist and lifting you onto the bike with ease. It should have scared you that it took almost none of his strength to do that but you supposed they were stronger and he made a motion for you to wrap your arms around him.
What on earth possessed you to just follow through with this was going to get a talking too because this was crazy, it had to be crazy, you were riding on the back of a motorcycle with a strange you met only hours ago, and with a broken nose. This night couldn't get any stranger.
Scratch that because it did, when you arrived at a house, which he explained was his home, you walked in and the whole place was modern. It had clean white walls, sleek black metal frames, a staircase, and decorations fitted in the wall. Black wooden slats accent his TV wall and even divide his living room and kitchen. It was, well, beautiful and so well organized. That was not the strangest thing the next thing was a woman who came down the stairs half naked wearing what you could only assume was his t-shirt, and then she cozied up to him as if you weren’t standing right there, you had a feeling he had a girlfriend but something told you she wasn’t it because he politely brushed her off and went into one of the various bedrooms on the first floor.
He finally showed you to your room on the second floor and the room was bigger than your whole house, you owned a rather small house, with two bedrooms, and one bath but this was insane. You looked around the room and the only thing you could think of was, “How can he afford all this?”
